Indigo Salon and Spa

I love Salon Indigo! All the hair stylists are amazing and profession. Such a great atmosphere!!! I am so excited to have a nice salon in Vandalia. Give it a try you won’ t be disappointed. Also the massage therapy is amazing!

Not happy. So not happy.
I didn’t even really want to write this review if that tells you how frustrated I was.
I thought it would be a killer idea to pick up the Groupon for a couples spa session. It was supposed to be a special treat. I tried so hard to actually get a hold of someone, anyone to talk to in order to schedule an appointment, I gave up for a while. Then I decided to ask for a refund. Groupon refused and instead somehow magically got in touch with the spa. Low and behold they email me back with a few dates I could choose from. No call, no conversation, just a back and forth date exchange over email. I relented and when I finally was forced to use the Groupon, the experience was already drained of joy.
I tried to put on a happy face when I arrived even though I was so angry with their customer service. A very special treat for my girlfriend ended up being a frustrating event we had to endure so I wouldn’t lose my money.
The spa is very cute. Clearly the owner should be an interior decorator and not running the business or being a masseuse.
The concept of the couples massage was nice. The room was private and could have been fun. The foot treatment was just sitting in the room with your feet in a pail with some stuff added to the water. I don’t have the biggest feet in the world, but mine didn’t fit. We had two glasses of champagne and some chocolate covered strawberries. That was a nice touch.
The massages just weren’t good. I hate to say it. They weren’t. I’ve had quite a few massages and I realize there are differences, but I have enough experience to know the difference.
With the headaches and hassles and what was provided, I did not feel it was worth the discounted price I paid, much less the full price. I would never recommend anyone going here.
It’s also really hard to find the place. It’s not well marked and it’s around back of a house with a small sign and door.
There was a really cute neighborhood donut shop nearby though. It was filled with old retired men, talking to each other around the counter and parking lot was lined with motorcycles. Should have just gone there instead.

After a rough beginning I was able to get into see Aubrey and get a deep tissue massage. She is so knowledgable on how the body works and what areas need to be massaged. I told her I had IT band issues so naturally she massaged those areas, but I didn’t tell her what leg it was on and he massaged the troublesome leg longer! She was able to mutliply herself by hitting more muscles in one area that the average massage therapist. I would go as far as saying it was the best massage I ever had. Her shop is so cute inside as well. My boyfriend and I bought the group on and didn’t end us using it; however, I did end up getting him a gift certificate anyway so he could experience the quality that I had. I will be going back!
PS if you are looking for a chiropractor, Aubrey the head massage therapist, works closley with the chiropractor who is in the front fo the buillding.

Aubrey and the team at Indigo are a welcome change to the typical salon and spa — these girls and guy really know what they’re doing!
I arrived for my appointment and I was surprised to see how cute the space is! All whites and soft lighting — and they even sell homemade laundry detergents and vitamins and other things you can’t easily get anywhere else.
I went in for my massage with Aubrey and she was nothing but sweet and professional, not to mention that she easily gave me the best massage I’ve ever had! Usually massage therapists just rub for relaxation, but she really knew what she was doing and could actually relieve the tension in the different parts of my back. I had the best nights sleep I’ve had in awhile after that one!
I cannot recommend her enough — if you want a real massage in a comfortable and cue setting — COME HERE!
