Heard about this place and decided to take the drive from pgh, nice clean busy place, ordered the «banana nut waffle «& «veggie omelette» and she had the «spinach & feta omelette», the food was prepared and presented nicely, big portions, not greasy, very tasty, full of flavor, stuffed omelettes and… golden brown, slightly crisp and fluffy giant waffle ! The food was excellent, but the only complaint we have is that we were seated at 2:10 pm and did not receive our food until 2:50 pm. and the only reason that is our complaint is because people who came in after us were served before us.

The best restaurant. Great food and if you leave hungry there’s something wrong with you. Be prepared you might have to wait but it’s worth it.

When I first walked in I thought wow, crowded! But that’s always a good sign when it comes to restaurants. I ordered the turkey sandwich. Never thought something so simple could taste so great! I’m not sure what they put in their food but it definitely doesn’t taste like the regular old American meals that you’re used to, it’s just better! The atmosphere is awesome because the people that come here are locals and this town is just full of the nicest people.

Great down home meals, and the same great service. My guy and me can split a delicious dinner or lunch for under ten bucks and be FULL! LOVE G & G!

So my best friend and I were in Vandergrift looking at the set of Banshee that was filming there. We had decided to find somewhere in the area to get lunch but didn’t realize how few options we’d have. Since G&G seemed to be the only place in town, we went in and were quite suprised. First of all, it was 2pm on a week day and it was packed. Our waitress was very nice and I got a hot turkey sandwich. The sandwich wasn’t plain ol’ lunch meat but was actual turkey breast. Great food and good service. The price was right too!

I give g and gs 4 and a half stars. This diner is awesome! I love their food especially their burgers, salads are pretty good as well! A small side of cheese fries are a mus (they can feed about 3 people). The only missing half star is it can take a little to get your food since it gets pretty busy. Other than that spectacular!

Why go to Pamela’s when you can have the best breakfast at G&Gs?!
This place is within walking distance from my house! Everytime I go to G&Gs I get an omelet because they are so delish. The best part is that they are huge! I take the other half home for lunch.
They have a glass case filled with homemade pies that are so beautifully presented it’s hard to resist! My sister and I came in to have the coconut crème pie and shared a piece. It was the perfect date!
Agreeing 100% with the review that this place should be featured on «Diners, Drive ins, and Dives»!

Amazing food, prices and portions!
Has that small town feeling to it and the servers there were really nice. Get the chocolate banana pancakes and you won’t be disappointed!

Id give these guys 10 stars if I could. They are great. Such down to earth people, and food is excellent. This is a true homestyle restaurant. It doesn’t get any better than this folks!

This place is always busy which usually means it’s great.
I have been coming here since I was little and it always gives me a good ‘homey’ feeling.
It is inexpensive and there is a lot on the menu to choose from.
Service is great — sometimes they get really busy but they still check on you frequently.
Parking is on the street and in a parking lot across the street.

Stopped in this afternoon, hubby and i both got the gyro, it was delicious. Kids got chicken planks and fries which were yummy too. Our waiter was super helpful, really nice guy. Definitly going to stop back in sometime for breakfast.

Horrible service. We got our coffee and waited 30 minutes to get our order taken. That’s a bit ridicules. And deep fried bacon is gross. Very bad experience.

I really like this place. I am only giving 4 stars because I feel I don’t have enough menu knowledge to give it 5. I have only been there 3 times but everything was either good or great! My husband absolutely loved the Vanderburger. I tend to order more traditional things like the turkey sandwich or the hot roast beef sandwich. I’m looking forward to my next trip there. It’s a small place and somewhat crowded but the atmosphere is good, the booths are a nice size, and it doesn’t make me feel claustrophobic. The service is quick and friendly and they don’t mind making minor changes to their recipes. The prices are good. I would recommend this place to friends.
