Clock Restaurant

This is an oldschool type eatery. The place is pretty Run down and has an old Denny’s feel. I’m sure The retired demographics really enjoys this place. I had the Cobb salad which was fully loaded and I could not finish it, the sweet tea is sweet! The staff seem like that have been her for 40 years or more and seem to feel like this place is there second home. The ceiling tiles and vent are filthy and I wish I would have not looked up before I finished eating. I think the place needs a good sanitation cleaning.

Surprisingly bad. My grilled cheese sandwich was apparently toasted and the cheese was not melted. My wife’s BLT came without bacon (though the waitress corrected this once it was pointed out). The coffee had a weak sour flavor which rendered it undrinkable. The toilet was not clean. What else can I say?

Worst dining experience ever. Went with 2 kids (4&5) and hubby and myself. Chose this instead of fast food before heading back to the beach. ½ sandwich and cup of soup is what I ordered. Soup came right away and that should have been the first sign it was going to be bad. (Supposed to come with ½ sand)…daughter ordered silver dollar pancakes and they came out with about 10 full size pancakes on a plate. Would have been awesome but not when your 4 year old wanted tiny pancakes! Son ordered French toast. Got 1 piece!!! This is a 12 and under menu… really? Hubby ordered chicken sandwich and it didn’t have a sauce or mayo or anything on it… weird but okay. he asked for mayo and it never came… he choked down a dry sandwich. My onion rings came in 1 clump… like 6 attached together so I cut them up… dough was wet! Yuck!!! Do not go here. Oh and did I mention the vocal waitress yelling at the coffee station because everything was all messed up and there must have only been ¼ of the seats full.

Breakfast here this morning. Everything was fine, slightly tired décor and not particularly lovely.

I stopped in the Clock Restaurant after calling to see if they were open. I was surprised to find that they were open until 10pm as most other local places on Venice Island close at 9pm. I was greeted by a friendly staff member who quickly seated me. I ordered the tuna melt sandwich and some coffee. The sandwich was one of the best I have had. The tuna was loaded on the sandwich and it was quite delicious! The prices are moderate and the restaurant is bright and cheery. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone!

This place is AWFUL! There is no reason to eat here. I had an elderly client take me here and it is dirty and depressing and the food is disgusting. They give you a lot of food but it is such poor quality you would never want to eat it.

The waitresses need to stop shooting the bull with the regulars and treat all patrons equally. Also watch your bill for overcharges!
