I love Danny’s. The manager, Matt, is amazing! All staff are excellent. I highly recommend.

This place was good. The service was really attentive and quick which was surprisingly, because before our meal they gave us a disclaimer that they were understaffed and that it’d be a little slow! Which anyways, was really nice of them. Great game time beer deals, only $ 3 for a bud light(or prob any other domestic draft). Their morning specials are $ 4 bloodys or mimosas. We got the bloody marys, which I don’t think had any alcohol in them, and weren’t great– but hey, it was 4 bucks. I only got a side of fries with the old baioli(took our group a second to understand what that meant!) so I don’t have much to say in terms of food, but the fries were pretty good. I’d say its a good place to come for happy hour drinks, but their food items seem a little too spendy for what it is.

Total upgrade! Danny’s has a new, organic menu with locally grown ingredients and it’s delicious. I had the short rib hash off the brunch menu and was blown-away by the flavor and preparation. Paired with the perfect mimosa made by Chaz, my Sunday spot just reaffirmed it’s status in top 3 favorite Venice establishments.

In here having a beer and one bartender with long hair is being overly aggressive to the bartender on the other side and it’s making me uncomfortable? This bartender with tattoos and long hair is always causing drama?! It gets old. The menu has changed and the place is empty now. Lame. No matza ball soup?! Bring the old menu back!!!

This place has undergone new management and staff(its about time). The manager named Matt is amazing! Great customer service! He hired a new chef which led to a new menu. They have better quality food now, food is DELICIOUS!(Try they chicken curry sliders) They’ve undergone a lot of new changes, one of them is that they no longer have their awesome happy hour, but the atmosphere of this place is 10x better now! I definitely plan on coming back :)

I have lived in Venice my whole life. One of my main thought processes has been to never eat near the boardwalk. Always seemed like disgusting food for tourists. One restaurant being Danny’s. I decided to try last month and glad I did! The new menu is delicious made with quality food, not out of cans. Since I tried it there a month ago I’ve been back 5 times since. Do yourself a favor and try. If you are looking for canned food and Budweiser, this isn’t your place.

Finally taking the time 2 leave my first review on a restaurant. Never really do this but this place made me so disappointed, especially that it’s named under my birth name. i went a few months back placed a order with about 8⁄10 of my friends, just say my friends were already done eating by time I go started 2 eat my meal and to top it off I waited 45mins/1 hour and I still didn’t get my full meal, and after the waiter told me he was gonna discount my meal, pretty much only took out the taxes so I decided 2 talk to the manager and he told me that my discount was enough and if I didn’t wanna pay I should’ve not ate it. i couldn’t believe I was hearing that from a manager, they just lost me and my friends clientele for such a act.

I went there once before and it waa the worst food ever. Then I tried it again recently because I heard they had a new menu and gave it a try. It was Awesommmme. The sliders were delicious, the potato salad was amazing and had such a home cooked feel to it, and my favorite was the beef tacos with the tomatillo. Delicious! Even though the food was really good this time the staff is a hit or miss! I had to move my seat because the bartender was SO rude,(the one with tattoos on his arms) I couldn’t get out of his section quick enough. I moved to the other side and it was a totally different experience. I’m glad I moved my seat and glad I gave the place another try.

This pace SUCKS, and is not worth any stars! The manager is a 29 year old KID who makes promises he can’t keep. I’d never been to this place, yet my friend raved about their amazing happy hour. They don’t have any happy hour on food! We got $ 5 beers. We ordered the food regardless, and the Mac and Cheese was gross. No flavor. The bartender probably felt sorry for us, and offered to call the manager. The same manager who said he would comp our meal if it wasn’t to standard, the same manager who told me he would come by our table when I said I had some feedback. Honestly, the place needs to get its shit together. SUCKS. I am still waiting for my $ 8 refund on the Mac and cheese we didn’t eat.

Consistency is everything. This place is consistently understaffed and has horrible service. Even when not crowded it takes 15 – 20 minutes to get a drink.

Poor food(actually horrible food) Poor service And happy hour starts at exactly 4 so don’t try coming in a minute early. Something changed here recently — but avoid it now.

I’ve always had a good time here … there was ONE instance where I had a bad/inexperienced server that rubbed me the wrong way and messed up on the bill, but upon speaking with the Owner(Danny himself), he rectified the situation and gained my business back. Good bloody marys, good location, good food. I like it.

Not happy about this place at all. Yes, the staff was great and very easy to please, but the food was dreadful. The so-called award winning fried chicken was hard as a rock and WAY over cooked. The mash potatoes were nothing but garlic. The BBQ sauce that we asked for to try and help us eat the chicken was just awful. We asked for ranch and the ranch had this very rich, butter — but not in a good way — aftertaste. It’s like this place could not get anything right. Even the ice tea I asked for came without ice! It’s ICED tea!

Two words: fish tacos. I am sure everything else is really good, too, but I was in heaven with the grilled mahi mahi tacos so I barely noticed the good time my companions were having with their food. Guess what is super good with fish tacos for lunch? Bloody mary, baby. With extra heat. Yup, I’m a fan. Needless to say it is a bit crowded and crazy, but that’s why you go to Venice. Optimal people watching. Super good food and nice people.

Never order the BLT. Where’s the bacon? Even with a decent amount of libations in me, I was disappointed. Which is kind of saying a lot because with enough libations, I’m okay with eating a dirty street taco while roaches run over my shoes.

I had the pleasure of eating here and meeting a great new friend for lunch the day I visited! I called ahead of time and spoke to the manager and she made sure things were perfect for our lunch! The spot is located on the corner overlooking the lovely venice beach boardwalk or strip not sure what they call it there… and I had a great lunch(and some fantastic wine!!!). The restaurant is loaded with character drawings of all the greats .of course I had to stand under the one of jim morrison(cause im a huge fan). I had a lovely blackened fish sandwich that had a tangy unique sauce that was made in house. one of a kind for sure. When I return you know his will be one of my first stops in venice beach. It felt like home! If youre looking for outstanding food and an atmosphere you cant duplicate… Dannys is the spot for sure!!! I WILL return!!! yes I will!!!

It’s really nothing special, but it’s better than what you’d typically find in a touristy boardwalk area. Service at lunchtime was a little harried and absent, as it looked to be just two guys working the whole place. I only had truffle mac & cheese and a beer. The half serving was more than enough to be a reasonably sized, affordable meal. Guy next to me ordered a burger that was almost comically large and didn’t look too tasty, especially considering he left more than half of it behind. Great selection of beers, with a mix of local, micro, and national brews. The tiny little patios outside(just one two-top in each section, four in all) are a good spot to people watch.

This place is the definition of a tourist trap. I was invited here by a friend for the tacos, and I did not enjoy my experience. The atmosphere is very creepy. You can film a horror movie in this place. The service here is extremely rude. I got up and asked a woman(either a waitress or quite possibly the manager) for a drink. She condescendingly told me to ask my waiter. The fish tacos were not good. I found the fish to be tough and chewy. It was definitely not fresh, and it was poorly prepared. The pulled pork tacos were tasty but nothing special. Coupled with the awful atmosphere and lazy service, it was not worth it.
