One of my favorite things to do at Venice Beach is to take an early morning walk along the beach, from Bay Street down to the Venice Pier and back, enjoying the feeling of the sand and water on my feet, the brisk salty air… and stopping at Zelda’s for a snack to enjoy on the grass while watching the artists and vendors set up. My favorite sandwich is the Professor Ted… apparently named after a regular who would request it, and it’s easy to see why it caught on… Turkey, roast beef, avocado, red onions, baby greens, cheddar and horseradish… on a fresh baguette type bread. You really can’t go wrong with it. I really like the service and how they treat everyone with respect. Truth is, coming in after a walk like that, I’m tanned, really sweaty and smell… as far as they know, I could have looked like I was houseless… but I’ve always been greeted with a genuine smile and genuinely neighborly service by all of the employees. Everything at Zelda’s is locally sourced, the service is genuine and the owner is a member of the real Venice community, ie pre-gentrification era… all the more reason to support them!

Mmm these mini donuts are delicious with your coffee in the morning. They didn’t even make it out the door with us. Edward, the owner, was extremely friendly and knowledgable about the area and gave us recommendations for what to check out while we were here!

Was walking around Venice walk and woah this palace is a treat! The staff are super nice and we loved the mini donuts! They were soft and mildly sweet! I believe it was $ 7 for 30 pieces. Plenty for sharing with our fam bam!

Zelda’s is fresh and fast. The staff is one of the more happy groups. All their sandwiches are great. I live on the same street so I have had them all. The staples that always do me right are the breakfast and bread, Mr. Electric & Professor Ted. If you like donuts get them they are the best thing on the menu. Go big though 12 won’t be enough especially if you are with friends, so for only $ 3 more get 30!!!

So i came here on my lunch break and ordered the italian sub and it was very delicious and incredibly filling. lots of meat packed in there with some delicious arugula. I loved it. Both quality and quantity for sure. It’s a small little restaurant but still comfortable to eat in there. I also got free donuts from the person working there, how could i not fall in love with this place? Will come back for future lunch breaks!

Prices do not reflect what actual prices are, try a 50% increase. A bit deceptive or a bit lazy. I suppose if ppl are buying why not increase the price, you know the rent is going up. Mini donuts are made on the spot, so yes they’re good. The paninis are over priced. Friendly service. Serve ground works coffee.

Came into the deli and asked if there was anything gluten free as I have an allergy… The owner made me the most beautiful and delicious gluten free sandwich I have ever had! He substituted cucumber as he didn’t carry any gluten free bread. It was seriously the greatest sandwich I have ever had. And it looked awesome. 10⁄10 will be coming back again. Also, the potato salad is delicious.

Perfect place to pick up and take on the beach to eat. Everything I’ve ever had here is delicious — favorite is the mr. electric, and if you get some extra jalapeños on the side it is espeeeecially delicious. Added bonus, the donuts are SOGOOD. Go get as much as you can carry!

I had a large last minute catering order for a large group at Venice Beach. I tried to find a place close by that would also be tasty. Based on the Unilocal reviews, Zelda’s corner looked like a good option. They prepared everything in a timely manner and all of the sandwiches came out tasting great. The sandwiches are hot and filled with good ingredients. I personally had a Mr. Electric and thoroughly enjoyed it. Very tasty, quality, and filling. Thanks again for helping us out!

This location is kinda hidden, but it can be found by the sign that says MINIDONUTS. The service was awesome, they have the mini donuts in front so you can see it being made.

Service was good, they gave us free donut samples to try. The donuts were little two bite size but there were not as good as expected. If you are known for something it better be the best thing I put in my mouth. I was hoping for a sugary, crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside with the perfect balance of sweetness but it was kinda dry, wasn’t moist enough and I was hoping to be eating it nonstop. It was a 2 – 2.5÷5. I got the Cuban, it was very meaty but lacking seasoning on the meats. Overall decent but there’s better places to try when in Cali.

The Electric sandwich was so yummy. It’s all pressed and toasted and the stuff inside it has this tangy horseradish sauce that had pieces of pickled jalapeños in it, and that, I can’t explain had some magical effect to the sandwich, but it has turkey, avocado, greens, tomato, crispy prosciutto and cheese. It was so good on a cold lunch at the beach.

I’ve popped in here a couple of times and grab a grilled ham and cheese . it’s always great! they don’t scrimp on the ham that’s for sure! it’s always perfectly toasted and the cheese is melted and goey. they’ve also given me a couple of free mini donuts, which are really tasty– crunchy and sweet and cinnamony, everything you want from a donut

Nice owner with a good selection of sandwiches! We ordered two sandwiches, both which were delicious, and 30 mini donuts. I recommend if you’re in the area to come here for the donuts alone if nothing else! Overall I would put this high on the chain in regards to sandwich shops.

The donuts! The donuts! The donuts! Here’s what you should do: 1.) Think of the person you love most in this world. 2.) Then go buy that person a dozen of Zelda’s fresh, mini-donuts. 3.) Give them the donuts. 4.) Now you can sleep easy knowing that he or she will truly understand how absolute your love is.

Got a grilled cheese with fried egg and pickled jalapeño. The pickled jalapeño is the perfect amount of pickled and it complemented the sandwich perfectly. The grilled cheese itself was pretty average though. Also got 12 donuts. I went with a 7 year old and he had fun watching the donuts getting made right in front of us. I’m not usually one to whine about service but the girl who was taking our order was super standoffish and not very pleasant. The kid was super excited about the donuts and tried to ask her a question and she just ignored him and then walked away when he tried to ask again.

This is a review of the freshly made, perfectly piping hot and delicious donuts. Not too sweet and the little mechanism they have to make donuts in assembly line format is so cute!!! The panini was really just okay but for the price on a tourist block, it was better than other options around.
