I was drawn into Let’s Be Frank by my liking for hot dogs and by the unusually short line. This colorfully decorated food truck had a welcoming, enthusastic staff. The company brands itself for its hormone-free, grass-fed hotdogs. I figured I may as well give it a try. I received my order pretty quickly and they accepted credit cards($.50 fee, I believe) I ordered the«hot» dog, which was spicy Italian sausage. It came with«devil» sauce and grilled onions. The sauce was delicious; it tasted like a spicy pepper relish. The hot dog was good as well. After three bites, though, the dog was gone, I was $ 6 short, and still hungry… Overall, the dogs are a tasty, quick, and healthy snack.

I love dogs and these are good, not the best ever, but really good. This past weekend I came upon the truck and paid like $ 20+ for 4 dogs, but it was a good investment. We had the following; Frank Dog — Beef(tasty eats, no ordinary dog) Brat dog — Pork bratwurst(extra long and great taste, make sure you smother it in whatever you like, including the devil sauce) Bird Dog — Turkey(healthy and damn good)

Amazing meat that tastes like nothing you’ve ever had before. Just thinking of their hot dogs makes me want to head out looking for their truck. Kinda pricey but you can just tell they are great quality. Topped with grilled onions and mustard, insanely great taste.

I had the beef frank with grilled onions when this truck came to UCLA. I had class right after and could smell the onion reeking off me, but I didn’t care because it was worth it. It is pretty pricey. The hot dog with a coke(but in a bottle!) was I believe over $ 7, but given that it’s a better quality hot dog, not one of those mystery dogs with more fillers than beef, I’m fine with paying a little more for quality. The sauerkraut is really tasty and I believe was also homemade! Service was also very friendly. The lady(I forgot her name, but I think she may be the owner) made you feel like you were an old friend!

«Food free from hormones, antibiotics, nitrates, and nitrites.» …FANTASTIC! A must try if you have not yet experienced this fab mobile establishment! Please read the«Food for Thought» section of their website to find out more about their grass-fed philosophy: Sue Moore’s commitment to excellence really comes out in this menu. From the organic kraut, homemade butter pickles & toasted artisan buns… to her signature Devil Sauce… terrific! I have tried every dog: Frank Dog — Beef Brat dog — Pork bratwurst(not spicy) Hot Dog — Italian sausage(spicy) Bird Dog — Turkey Not Dog — Vegan veggie And I cannot let this review go without mentioning that Devil Sauce one more time — WOW! Dee-lish! ;)

Tried this for the first time the other night and I have to say that I was very impressed to find that it was the first hot dog that I’ve had that I wasn’t regretting eating less than an hour afterward. The spicy bratwurst was not that spicy at all, but was full of flavor. Be sure to ask for both onions and for some of the unadvertised, home-made butter pickles that are kept in the back for special occasion.
