This restaurant has reopened. Food good, not inspiring, but I enjoyed Cobb salad. Friend had beautiful crab cake sliders. New Tiki Hut had good musician playing and it appears some young people are enjoying it.

Had dinner here this past week, loved the view! On the porch it was quite noisy. Became too hard to hear :( I had the lobster roll, it was good but not great. Husband has the fish sandwich and remarked it was tasty. Our only complaint was the terribly slow bar service, we were waiting for our 4th party member and they just didn’t seem to have it together. Under new management and the menu is the same as one of their other restaurants so for the other couple in our group they found that a letdown.

Good was good but way overpriced. Lunch of two sandwiches and drinks was $ 48.00. Too many places near by just as good but not as expensive.

Love this place! The views of the sunsets over the boats is worth a visit. I love the maitai’s and start with that drink every time. My mom always gets their margarita. The menu has changed a bit since my last visit but I was so glad to see the grouper tacos were still available. The fries are soooo good too!

Mary is the best bartender! Bar gets a 5 for her and her cohorts! So friendly and efficient.

Marker 4 will be replaced in the next couple of weeks. They are serving a limited menu and are letting things go. Don’t bother going here; there are so many other places in Venice.

Great location on the water. Brought our boat in for lunch. Service was a bit slow, but friendly. The food was really good and worth the wait. Will definitely be back.

First of all, the food is good. Mussels are Delicious as are the fish tacos and other items on the menu. But the service is lacking. We were seated at 2 pm and the place was busy but there were open seats. No one came to the table to serve us. No one. I asked a waitress passing by would she please send our server over. She said I’ll take your drink order and left. Another waitress came by and said I can take your drink order. I said we just gave it to the other waitress. She said that waitress sent me over. We gave her out drink order. Then a third waitress came by and asked the same thing. We gave our drink order a third time. Then she came back and said the beer I ordered was out. She didn’t bring the other drink for my friend. None of the help or manager apologized for the wait and confusion. I think they need to get their act together. Poor management. I don’t know if I will return.

Decided to try Marker 4 again yesterday, the last experience left a lot to be desired but I know it is season and most restaurants are busy. Well for the second time we sat at the bar only to be ignored by the four bartenders that were apparently too busy to acknowledge that we were there. A simple«someone will be with you in a moment» would be sufficient. But to sit there and look at four miserable people who clearly don’t want to be there is not my idea of an enjoyable dining experience. Newsflash without patrons you have no job, and if you can’t be bothered to at least smile then you need to find a different line of work. Too bad, it’s a nice location but there are others with the same view and sometimes it’s the customer experience that puts you above the rest.

What has happened at Marker 4??? I hear the Chef has left… it appears he has taken his Wonderful Mussels and the entrée menu with him. So sad… so disappointed… we had already waited 30 minutes when we asked for a menu… we got what we thought was a bar menu(no entrees). We were told this was all they were offering… lost the Chef… now, could someone please tell me why they would let such a treasure escape??? Another problem, we asked for our salads to be delivered before our appetizers(read main course here) …did not happen. Came after… boohiss… I ordered the Marker4 Mussels… omg…no comparison… good but nowhere near what I have had on 2 previous visits… Even the accompanying bread of substandard. Who is responsible for this???

The absolute worst service I have ever experienced. Took an hour to get our food; everyone around us who came in after us were served and paid their bill before we ate. The food was over cooked and cold! The bill was wrong… Overcharged us for two additional beers! WILLNOTRETURN!!!

The location is very nice but my fish and chips was a greasy mess. The batter was soggy and inedible. I picked the fish out of the batter and the fish itself was good but too much oil left on my plate. My husbands coconut shrimp were average. We expected better seafood from a restaurant on the water. Our waitress didn’t even check in with us to see how our meal was.

I am from Texas and we went to this restaurant yesterday but the experience was VERY bad. First it took us 30 minutes to get our drinks and then took an additional 30 to get our appetizer… We then had to stop the manager to check on our dinner order he said I sorry went bust tonight… it took about an hour to get our food. The waiter only checked on us 3xs … Horrible. The food was very dry. Burger meat was very dry no flavor. Horrible horrible service and food … Only good thing is the view bc it’s by the water. I ended up vomiting the food bc it made me sick. Stay away from this place u have been warned

This restursnt was grest! The chef made all the dressings and delivered an orange balsamic that was great! I had the signature mussels and they were a good combination of a garlic wine and tomato based mussels. Great delivery if a little of each. Will definately be back. Very busy starting about 5 and got less congested around sunset. You could even being your doggie!!# Give it a try the fish tacos looked awesom.

Our boat club choose Marker 4 for our monthly luncheon destination. Great visual and the meal was good BUT service is very slow, confused and greatly lacking in organization. I have heard the same thing from many other customers. I would suggest they hire a wait staff manager or at least a hostess that helps with seating, drink orders and anything else that would make things run smoothly. Not returning any time soon

On a Friday night, we were here for 3 hours. We arrived at 6:00 and it took well over an hour to get a table, even though we were quoted 45 minutes to an hour. Once we were seated, it was another 45 minutes until our appetizer arrived. 45 minutes later, our dinner arrived. Our poor server kept apologizing and seemed so stressed out. Bottom line: Was the food good? Yes. But will we come back? Probably not. I understand that this time of year it’s not uncommon to wait an hour for a table in this area. The problem is that once we were seated, there was so much waiting for the appetizer and then waiting for the food that we were absolutely famished. There was a manager walking around who could clearly see our table was empty for quite some time and kept glancing at us, but he didn’t come over and talk to us. Being busy in a dinner rush isn’t a crime, but poor hospitality kind of is.

Greasy and very good Marker 4 is at the Fisherman’s Wharf with a great view of the Marina. We stopped in for lunch. There was a 20 minute wait for a table, which gave us time to wander around the docks and look at the boats and pelicans. Lunch was very good. I had their Fish & Chip, three pieces of somewhat greasy battered fish, seasoned fries, and a good slaw. I was very pleased. I was also pleased with the service. We received a friendly greeting, followed by drinks a few minutes later. My wife ordered their Fried Oysters which we both enjoyed while waiting for our main courses. Nice view, great service, with good and plentiful food. That was all we needed.

Suggested by a local we were a bit skeptical because it had mixed reviews from other locals-It is not on the main drag but it is near the water. There seems to be a lack of that in the area. It is actually at a Boat club so it isn’t a traditional beachside eatery. Honestly, they had a pretty good beer selection — some interesting tropical drinks & our food was good. The service was lacking any enthusiasm. Not rude, not slow– but almost seemed like she could have been tending to us in her sleep– complete lack of expression or energy. Would go back if I’m in the area again because one person doesn’t make or break the place and as I said the food was good.

Emily was our server and she was great, very friendly and attentive. I have two words COCONUTSHRIMP. Very light and delicious. And omg the sauce. I would return here just for this appetizer. I had their Marker 4 margarita which was refreshing and not that sweet, which is great since many restaurants make margaritas too sweet! This had lime and orange juice in it! For my entrée, I had a grilled chicken sandwich with a sundried tomato aoili and basil pesto spread, very good. My mom enjoyed the crabcakes and the winter pear salad. Great place on the dock!

Fabulous marina views from the open restaurant seating on the left hand side of the restaurant. Delicious food. we had hot dogs, mussels, fish and chips and a grilled chicken sandwich. Everyone said how much they enjoyed their food. Our problem was the lag in service and a problem checking out. Felt to us like we waited an hour for lunch. probably because we met at noon and lunch was delivered 12:55. When I brought this to the attention of the manager, he went to when the ticket for lunch went in – 12:40. Hard for me to dispute so I didn’t, but there had to have been a lag between when we ordered and when Angela put in the order. Our full elapsed time at the restaurant was 2 hours. At the end, our host realized his card had been charged for someone else’s lunch. about $ 100 more than our lunch. It took at least 10 minutes to resolve it with an action for us to check the card account after a couple of days to make sure it was adjusted. I left disappointed with overall service, which is why the 3 star rating. The food and venue was at least 4 stars.
