Optical Shop Of Venice

Love this shop. Came in on the recommendation of a friend. Nice selection of styles and the staff was super patient and helpful helping me pick out a good style for my face shape. Got a pair of fab Persols and the owner personally adjusted the frames to sit just right.

My friend recommended me to this place and I am soo glad I went in. Alex helped me pick out a perfect pair of Ray Ban’s and I get complimented on it all the time!

I arrived at LAX and lost my sunglasses along the way. I was staying near Venice Beach and figured I’d get a pair of sunglasses there.
After visiting a few shops, I didn’t see anything I liked or that was within my price range.
Before looking beyond Venice Beach, I tried the Optical Shop of Venice. There was a huge selection of designer sunglasses in my price range. The staff was helpful and didn’t pressure me.
What a great experience!

I’m really glad I stumbled into this place. I have seen it on the boardwalk on the way to the beach and figured as I was looking for sunglasses and a new pair of eyeglasses that they may be of help. Alex, one of the owners, was extremely helpful in sorting options for frames for me, as well as the store manager, also Alex, giving suggestions and options as well without pressure selling me on any options they had.
A nice accommodation as well was the fact that they are able to source any pair of frames (even if I found something outside of store that I liked) and could have them to me shortly. Alex (owner) comes from an optical background and was really thorough on sizing and comfort and was able to install prescription lenses into both of the frames I ended up buying (a pair of Ray Bans and a set of Oakley eyeglasses). Also, this store definitely has one of the largest selections of Ray Bans I will probably ever come upon. Regardless, I would bring my business here again as this is appreciable small business at its best. Thanks for all of your help, you definitely earned it.

We were down there on Sunday afternoon and the place was packed. They have a HUGE selection of sunglasses. I have never seen so many Oakleys. If you are looking for a hard to find or limited edition style they will most likely have it. Alex who I think is the owner was a bit arrogant but the dude knows his stuff and was very cool. It’s rare to meet someone that’s so passionate about his work. I have been looking for a particular Frogskin and didn’t want to get one off Fleabay. This place has Frogskins galore. I found the one I have been looking for and paid a very fair price for it. I also bought a Rayban for my daughter after talking to Alex. He really got into explaining the harm of UV light and how children are often forgotten when it comes to sun protection. Next time we the Venice boardwalk we definitely will stop by to say hi to Alex and take him up on the free cleaning and adjustments on our glasses.

Very knowledgable about all kinds of glasses. I got the gatorz glasses! They were reasonablly priced. If your down in Venice you should check them out.
