One of the best meals we’ve had out in a long time. Steaks were good cuts of beef and cooked to perfection. Staff directed us to a two top near the bar for no wait when the wait was 50 minutes for the dining room. Great job guys!

They’re always busy now that it’s season but they handle it very well! Food is delicious and service is nice despite it getting a bit chaotic at times with so many people. Im there about once a month and haven’t had a bad experience, I recommend!

absolute worst service ever. I went in for dinner and i cannot believe how long it took to get a water. i gave the staff 40.00 for a water that i never received. i will never step back in this restaurant again. and i have told my family and friends that if they ever come here i will personally disown them. this is a typical Venice restaurant they have no idea how to serve people.

Food, as always was very good. Had the coconut shrimp appetizer and the ahi tuna salad entrée. Both very good. Very disappointed with the service tonight. Nick, was very personable, but not very efficient. Waited a while for the appetizer and even longer for my entrée.

A Short wait to be seated. Service was good. Wife’s salmon was good. My Flat Iron stake was under done but still good. Their baked potatoes are very good. They salt the skins. Place seemed clean although neither of us used the restrooms. Not our first time here. A little pricey, a little noisy. We’ll be back !!

2−24−15 rib eye steaks were tough. waitress replaced them with new ones. mgr stood there while we tried them. told him they were better than the first ones but not as good as they should have been. couldn’t even finish them. was given the coconut shrimp we had free to make up for the bad steaks. should have had no bill for food at all. very dissatisfied. no plans on returning. quality has been going downhill for sometime and i think it just hit rock bottom. peter mcnamee

Outback has changed, everything is a la carte. Wait staff is horrible, manager does not care. Will never return again. Ordered filet with crab claws, never saw the crab. Problems in Venice, we were there at 3PM. What a mess. Sorry Outback, you lost my business for ever. Try Prime in Port Charlotte folks, food is wonderful and wait staff the BEST!

Outback is frequently busy, so be sure to make reservations or arrive early(before 5). The steaks(ribeye & strip) at our table(party of 5) had good flavor, but more gristle than usual. They were cooked as ordered. The noise level is a bit high, but we were able to get a table off in a corner away from the bar so we were able to have conversation without straining our voices or ears. I have always enjoyed the fish and tonight was no exception … go Firecracker Salmon. The waitress was pleasant, but the service was slow. Have to admit that we found ourselves looking for her on several occasions. Since this was a family dinner, and we were in no rush, that was not an inconvince. Nothing so bad that it affected our normal gratuity. Though it did cost them a star in my rating. This area is fortunate in having many restaurants that you can go to and know that you will be served a nice meal and Outback is definitely one of them. I know that I’m spoiled a bit … sun, fun, and good food — nice!

Great food, great service even though it was slammed packed. Food took a little while, but it was packed to the brim. Too bad there is no competition worthy competition that we know of, except chili’s.

Their unlimited shrimp are over cooked. ie the fried were like rocks and their broiled were rubber. Also the commercial shows large shrimp, the actual order is ½ the size. My guess 41 to 50 per pound.

This Outback in Venice is about the best Outback closest to my residence. They now have a special of Steak and all you can eat shrimp for only $ 15.99, and I’m telling you that was the best meal I’ve had in a long time. The service by Joe N. was so outstanding, I thought I was being treated at a 5 star hotel. He was EXCEPTIONAL!!! Food and service great, and the bargain helped too.

OK. I come to Outback for the beef. I’ve been doing this for 15 years. I always have ordered the 6 inch serloin — economy cut, sure. But, it has always been great. Last time at Outback, it was marginal — some gristle but, 99% edible. Today, lots of gristle, 80% edible. I spoke to the owner as I payed my bill. His message was«you should have told me earlier I could have done something». A VERY marginal response for a customer satisfaction oriented restaurant. I was disappointed in both the beef AND the management response.

Had a very good dinner there last night. Hot items were hot and cold items were cold. Our waitress was terrific! Today was like we had entered a different restaurant for lunch. The potato soup was cold and the salad had the wrong dressing. The medium well steak was too cooked and dried out. Our server had too many tables for one person. Go here only for dinner.

As a follow up to the bad steak; the waitress noticed I did not like the the steak. I never said a wood or made a face. The manager came over removed the steak from the bill and gave me a choc lava brownie, very nice customer care,

Had dinner there last night and was very impressed. My steak and my wife’s prime rib were cooked perfectly(medium rare), the lobster tail was juicy, and the service was wonderful thanks to Sarah. Pretty amazing given that the place was packed – there was only one empty table in the place. Other national chains seem to always go downhill as they expand, but this is still the place to go for a good chunk of beef.

This Outback was Packed! Good thing we were with local friends who knew enough to call ahead so our table was waiting when we got there. Service was great! Food was great and cooked to order. Good timing on food. We left a 20% tip and she was worth it!

Had to write a review since the last was dec 2011. Materdam threw menus on table and left to converge with her boyfriend. Crappy service. Fosters beer is not 2for 1. Watermelon Rita needed liquor for $ 7 ea. $ 21large prime rib and 13 oz rib eye got the two stars. Chopped salad was good and Caesar was dry. I really thought $ 65 for dinner and desert an expense I will not repeat at this location.
