I have been to around 8 – 10 bridal salons in the area looking for wedding dresses and the experience at Solstice Bride has been the best so far. I have either had appointments with really surly bridal shop consultants who were frustrated when I or my companions expressed our honest opinions or who were overly-nice, to the point of sounding fake. Orla, the owner of Solstice Bride, struck a nice balance of being really friendly but also genuine, and she didn’t pressure me to make a decision right away. Her shop is right off Abbot Kinney in an apartment-like space that makes you feel like you’re in a pop-up shop at your friend’s house. It’s really cozy and comfortable without being sketchy or unprofessional. The dresses were really nicely selected and are definitely for those brides who want to feel laid-back and unique at their wedding. They were also all very reasonably priced. I am deciding between a dress at Solstice and a dress from another salon, but based on experience alone, I definitely prefer Solstice! I think this shop serves an important market – the non-traditional, laid-back, «boho» bride – and look forward to seeing it flourish!

This was once of the best bridal store experiences I had. Orla was super sweet and helpful. The space was beautiful and easy to be in. We were the only people there and we didn’t feel rushed or pressured at all. I quickly fell in love with two a few of the dresses. She also has a really good selection of bridal accessories. This was the first place I tried on a veil and actually liked it. Highly recommend coming here for a beautiful laid back bridal experience!
