ok… I will never go to this subway again… for starters the morning staff… The guy specifically is rude mean and basically should never be in the service industry… on more than one occasion he has called people crazy… today really early I stopped in for coffee. …He kept opening the door even after I stated it was still chilly… so I closed it and he then reopened it more than once… so please heed this warning stay away… from this Subway. …

It all makes sense now why I feel sluggish and tired after eating their sandwiches. Get rid of the chemicals in your breads!!! If I wanted to eat a yoga mat I can go next door to Exhale.

Your average Subway, but… what really got my attention was this(and note that this applies to all Subway and similar-type places): I ordered one of their $ 5 Footlong deals and they tried to charge me tax on it. Nope, wrong. State Law is that if a cold sandwich meant to be cold(more on that later) is sold cold and to go(i.e. eaten off the premises), no tax will be charged. I told the clerk there shouldn’t be any tax on it for that reason. He told me he had to charge tax. I asked to speak to the manager, who again told me he had to charge tax. I then had to explain about State Law again and he got this guilty look on his face and told his employee to, ‘give it to him’(i.e. let him [customer] have his way and don’t charge him tax). Guys, this is what California State Law states and you’re trying to pull a fast one? Someone should change your name from Subway to SCAM-Way. Regarding hot and cold foods, if a food is originally advertised as ‘hot’(e.g. toasted, heated), but one chooses to not have it heated, it is still considered ‘hot’, tax-wise and is thus subject to taxation.
