Yes cold sweets! I had a gelati which is a water ice layered with their soft ice cream. Wow was it good the ice cream had a high fat percentage and went really well with the cherry water ice. Can’t wait to get it and the other treats here. Quality all the way.

What’s up with the low rating?! There’s a reason why this place gets packed every summer night! It’s where all the cool Atlantic city kids go for kick a** summer treats. Around here, there’s Ritas & Dairy Queen but c’mon man… this is where it’s at! I always get the vanilla & chocolate swirl, classic!

Mento’s charges 25 cents for a sample. Not only is this outlandish, preposterous, and as a previous reviewer states, «snarky», it almost dissuaded me from a substantial overall purchase. That being said, it kinda sucked.

Mento’s is a great drop-by for traditional shore sweets: custard, water ice, specialty ice creams. At night over the summer, it gets a crowd but the line at the outside walk-up window moves very fast and people are just hanging around to eat.(Tip: if it’s busy at the outside window, go inside — just down a few steps — and you can order/pay there.) Large servings for the price, great custard, good water ice(maybe a little too sweet for me).

Mento’s has sweet, delicious water ice that is way better than Rita’s. Period. I’ve been going there for years, and their water ice has always been one of the best treats at the Jersey shore. However, the owner(s) just put up an extremely snarky sign saying that«tastes» now cost 25 cents. Are the«tastes» really driving you out of business? It just seems a little petty, and left a bitter taste in my cherry water ice. Aww.
