Andrews Fine Cabinets and Millwork

We had a remodel with lots of cabinets. Three bathrooms, kitchen, laundry room, several built-​ins throughout the house and a fireplace surround. Ray and his team did a great job. We have learned over several projects that things rarely go as you expect. The key to a good contractor relationship is the way you communicate and address issues as they arise. And this is why Andrews gets 5 stars. We had several issues come up. Plumbing issues required the kitchen layout to change. Some appliances were slightly different in dimension than expected and Ray and his staff worked with us to solve all of these and others without drama. We highly recommend them.

Ray does amazing work and really pays attention to detail, you will not be disappointed!

I recently had Ray and his guys take care of my kitchen. I can not be more pleased with the entire process. His pricing is outstanding, the quality of work is second to none and the install crew are a good bunch of guys. Showed up on time worked hard throughout the day and finished the entire project 2 weeks earlier than what I was anticipating. If you are looking to have any type of cabinets installed. Big or small they will take care of you. You will not be disappointed.

I don’t usually take the time to write reviews unless it’s for outstanding work or really bad service. In this case, it was outstanding awesome work at a fair price. We started the kitchen remodel going down the Lowes/​Home Depot route and then got Rays name from a friend. Glad we did. for just about the same price… just a little more we got a better product. What I liked is that his help is trained and thinks just like Ray does. I never had to worry about his help if Ray left or I was not there. Most contractors will sell you thinking they will do the work but then send in a sub contractor that cares less about you and your house. Just slam and Jam get it in and get there money. I’m pretty picky and hard to please guy that only wants the work done right the first time with top notch results at a fair price. I don’t care if nobody will see it. I know whatever was covered up or hidden will still be there. I also like that i didn’t have to stand over Rays help making sure they have the same vision as Ray. That is hard to find. no short cuts, if something is not right he will ask before making that change. Most contractors will just change it and hide it or hope you don’t notice until they leave. I had a lot of contractors come into the house for a whole house and backyard remodel and not once did i worry about Ray. He is the one of the good guys that does what he says he will do. He will be doing our front bathroom vanity and more work to come.
Editing since I found out Unilocal removed it and while I’m a legit customer that had a kitchen remodel done I want Ray to get some notice.

We purchased new drawer fronts for our kitchen and bath remodelings. We asked Ray if he could do the replacement for the kitchen drawers as the entire drawer-​box needed a new front (more than a standard DIY project) he gave us an inexpensive bid and turned them around quickly. When we picked up the kitchen drawers we brought along the simple wood-​faces change bath drawers and he did those 6 drawer faces while we waited. A positive attitude and great attention to detail will have s coming back

Thanks to Ray and his team, my kitchen looks so much better. I had to do a full transformation of my kitchen and helped coordinate all the other contractors. His work and pricing is great. He is honest and helps to you to decide what will benefit you for your needs. He will not give anything until he is satisfied. He truly stands by his work and will give you top quality cabinets and work. He went above and beyond to meet our kitchen needs. I will highly recommend him to anyone and will also use him again. I have been a designer in Los Angeles for many years. This year I realized my dream and built a weekend/​eventual retirement home in Ojai. I was familiar with resources in Los Angeles, but none in the Ventura area. What great fortune that I found Andrews Fine Cabinets. Working with Ray was a delight. He knows the ins and outs of cabinet design, function and installation unlike anyone I ever worked with before. His eye is incredible, he and his team are real craftsmen and they take pride in their work. Ray knows what can work and what won’t work, when I gave him my concepts. I had total confidence in Ray. The finishes are impeccable and the construction is solid. No cutting corners for Ray! My kitchen is spectacular and I’m going to try to convince Ray to re-​do my cabinets in my other home in Encino! Beautiful cabinets at a reasonable price!
Ray and his team helped us to design the cabinets for our kitchen remodel and the results are wonderful. Our old house had lots of issues (not square, not level, not straight), but this was not a problem for Andrews Fine Cabinets. Since the cabinets were custom, they fit our space and appliances precisely. The price was quite reasonable and there was no change at all from the price on the contract.
I’m sure I will be using Andrews again in the future. In the meantime, I would recommend them to anyone interested in beautiful cabinets at a reasonable price.

He designed, built and installed cabinets in our kitchen and added much needed storage. Work was completed according to our schedule. The work area was kept clean and orderly. The price was reasonable with no surprise increases and the cabinets look great.
We are in the process of having him refinish some other cabinets due to his fine work. We would highly recommend him.
