Food is ok… Prices are too high for what they serve. I paid 10.95 for a breakfast burrito that was tasty but on the smaller side and the rest of our meal was mediocre… great location on the harbor but they need to step up there game for the prices… Oh yes and beware my pet peeve they put American cheese slices on breakfast sandwiches yuck!!! At least give us some real cheese

Love this place. After taking the dog swimming in the ocean, no place better to relax outside at a picnic table enjoying a good, hearty breakfast. There is a patio and inside seating(why would anyone ever sit indoors here?) but the picnic tables on the grass are best for us. Dog friendly, water bowls provided by the owners. Stuffy people with attitude may want to go elsewhere. This is a kick your shoes off and feel the grass between your toes kind of beach café. The staff has always been friendly and seem to aim to please. If I lived closer I’d eat here a lot more often!

The seafood omelette was surprisingly good! Lots of fresh seafood and avocado. Worth the price

Large portions. Excellent service. I ordered the Mahi fish and chips. The plate was overflowing. My wife is vegetarian. They made her a huge sandwich and she was pleased. I recommend this place to anyone in Southern Calif. Worth the stop.

Excellent breakfasts! I recommend the scrambled eggs, traditional 3-egg omelette(chose 3 items from a selection of fillings), or a breakfast sandwich. The fresh made salsa is reason alone to eat here. They also serve high quality thick bacon. The breakfast potatoes are a perfect mix of crisp and soft with skin intact. Sourdough sliced toast is flavorful and served with a choice of homemade fruit jams(raspberry is my fav). Generous portions. Great value for the quality. Dark roast coffee is weaker than I prefer, and I especially find the decaf wimpy, but hey at least they offer it so I get to have a second cup by combining the two at the self-serve coffee bar. Small place with mostly outside seating.

This place needs to have 5 Stars! We came for the harbor view but we’re so impressed with the delicious breakfast and awesome service. I had a French toast breakfast and OhhhmaGod! They were perfection and they do something magical to their syrup! The bacon was crispy and the potatoes were as if my mom made them! As if they weren’t awesome enough the cook sent out extra bacon because he thought he didn’t give me enough! Say whaaaat?! I love this place and will be back every time I’m in the area!

Decided to try this place for breakfast because of the 2 for 1 offer in Axxess. First I must say, it is a nice location right on the Ventura harbor. There’s a patio outside and some tables on the grass but it was breezy so we opted to sit inside. You have to order at the counter and then they bring you your food. The inside dining area seemed a little neglected. The tables were not wiped off. I had the seafood omelet with crab, shrimp and lobster and a side of tomato slices. It was pretty good. My brother and husband both had the pancake breakfast with pancakes, eggs over medium, potatoes, and sausage. They both complained the eggs were over easy not medium. They also both loved the pancakes. All in all an okay breakfast. Couple of things, the prices are right up there with a sit down restaurant so we would at least expect real silverware, not plastic. The bathroom door was locked so we had to get a key. It was kind of weird because there were several stalls in there. Not sure if we would go back but I am glad we tried it.

I had this place recommended to me as a good café to eat at after surfing. I went in super hungry and left super disappointed. The service was bad and the employees acted like it was a big deal to get ranch and seasoning salt for my fries even though I tipped her when I paid for my meal. My friend was disappointed with how his food was cooked(soggy breaded chicken) and was too uncomfortable to ask the waitress to take his order back after receiving an order with cheese rather than no cheese. I spent 15+ dollars on a sandwich and beer which filled me up but was honestly bland and sub par. It takes a lot to get me to write a Unilocal review but you guys got me going on a rant so congratulations! I won’t be back

BEST Bacon cheeseburgers around and I always sub a side salad for the fries because the salad is so fresh and delicious! HIGHLY recommended. Excellent service :)

This is one of my favorite places in Ventura for breakfast. The food is great and coffee is excellent. I love that they have actual models of the regular and large sized breakfast burrito affixed to the menu inside. Set apart from the main part of the harbor and perched right up against the water, this cozy little café is a lovely and serene place to enjoy a casual meal. Also a great place for kids.

My new Ventura morning hangout. Sitting in the sun overlooking palm trees and the marina, I feel like I am on a mini tropical vacation rather than 10 minutes from my house in Ventura. I also feel like I’m on one of the many sailboats since I am eating my delicious large portion of homemade potatoes off of plastic ware because it’s safer when you’re dining alfresco. Someone raved about the café’s homemade salsa, and they were right-it is quite flavorful, with tapatio available too. Next time I will try a quesadilla or burrito for breakfast. On my previous visit with friends, some wanted shade, some wanted sun and we all wanted iced tea. With so many picnic tables, patio bar stools, and patio tables with umbrellas we were able to accomodate everyone. Now serving Santa Barbara Roasting Co coffee, fresh brewed iced tea, mimosas, mojitos, beer and wine, all our beverage needs were covered just like at an Hawaiian waterfront café. All the out of towners were impressed with the views and the casual feel. Open from 7:30 to 2:30 with a breakfast and lunch menu, friendly staff, dog treats with room for little doggies to roam on the grassy area, free wifi, takeout, patio views towards Ventura, indoor seating, and access to walking paths. With a safe beach just across the parking lot that has designated parking for the café, it all adds up to smooth sailing for breakfast, lunch, or a brew.

We stopped by today and the chipole fish tacos were still awesome. But today I noticed a chalkboard with a Bacon Bloody Mary advertised for $ 6.50 I had to try it and it was totally worth it. It was as much art in presentation as it was just plain yummy. The right mix of vodka with a snappy mix, two olives and a bean sprout screwed in a little umbrella. But to top it off a strip of bacon. Who does not like bacon. Its a meal in a glass. Try it.

A special place not to be missed! Tucked in at the end of spinnaker, this privately owned eatery just served me one of the best breakfast burritos of my life. Crispy potatoes, fresh salsa, fast service, and a gorgeous view of the ocean and marina — I will definitely go again soon. Oh and pet friendly!

This place was ok. Nothing extraordinary but not bad either. Breakfast is pretty busy so you’ll usually have to fight to find a spot under the shade if you’re going during the summer.

We got a first-timer in the house! Haha, this morning was my first time at Harbor Cove Café. I would have to say… I hardly give out 5 stars && this place definitely earned there’s today. The breakfast food?! FANTASTIC. The wait staff?! Super-chill and down to earth. The location?! Perfect, between the boat docks and the beach. The pricing and portions?! Just Right! You can’t go wrong with this cute restaurant nestled toward the end of the Ventura Harbor Village community. Due to its location, you can expect it to not get crowded, of course if you want prime seating-you may want to get here before 10a. That’s when it started to get«crowded.» They should probably consider playing music on their outdoor seating area otherwise you’ll hear each others conversations. Other than that TiP, everything about this restaurant is great. They have a homemade salsa that is suppppper delish. I asked the worker if they sold the salsa there, && she just said to bring a jar next time and she’ll charge accordingly. Heck yes! My bf & I will definitely come back. Especially since they have beer on tap and are RIGHT next to the beach!!!

Indoor and outdoor seating, kind of strange seating arrangements with outdoor not looking or feeling that clean. Lets not forget we are in a harbor with seagulls, even though the patio is covered looks like birds come in under the patio cover to do their thing. Extremely average, thinking I can do a better breakfast at home. Pancakes had griddle pieces from other food, bagel was mini size, pancakes tasted plain, syrup tasted average, omelette was highlight until I bit into either eggshell or dirt from the spinach yap dirt as shown in a pic I’ve posted. Will not return!
