Great food and friendly owners. Their portions are huge — a lunch item lasts me two meals. I hear the rice bowl is awesome but I can’t break away from the sweet and sour pork! Cash only is perfect for us since we don’t like to eat out unless we have the cash in hand. Besides, no credit cards keeps their costs down too.

Now i will say, the major downside is that they don’t take cards. But the food is really good. The orange chicken i got was still nice and crispy even though it was covered in sauce. the hot and sour soup was amazing, and i actually liked the egg roll i got. The man at the counter was chipper and eager to show just how good his food was. The food is made to order, and is exceptional. Even when cold later at night, it was still amazingly tasty. If your in the area, definitely come here and try it out.

I love this place! They have the best orange chicken I have ever had! Great friendly service! And everything is made fresh to order.

I’ve been using this establishment for years. I have always found the food and the service to be excellent. The only drawback to this location is they do not accept checks or credit cards. Not a big issue with me but I know for some people that is a major problem. Definitely a location I go to on a regular basis, and recommend to others. My favorites are the combination fried rice, and a hot spicy garlic chicken.

Great for what it is, fast, easy, and delicious Chinese takeout! Been going here since I was a kid.

Cash only signs posted no less than three different spots inside the restaurant, and there are multiple ATM’s in the shopping center, this shouldn’t be a big deal for people. /rant over Drove all the way from Hueneme Beach in rush hour traffic for the pickup and was well worth the adventure. Food was super tasty and I am not a fan of Chinese for the most part. Reviews claiming best Kung Pao in Vta Cty are not inaccurate. Phone convo with owner/chef regarding pick up order and outdated online menu(not posted by him or the business) was comedy gold and worth 5 stars on its own.

Unfortunately I wasn’t able to try the food because they did not accept debit cards and my friend did not have any cash on him and I only had about $ 12 cash. This review isn’t about the food. But it’s 2015. Why would you not accept debit card? At the very least get a Square(which is totally free) and they charge a minimal amount of money for every transaction. I would imagine that is far better than losing business to people who don’t have any cash on them. That being said, bring cold hard cash on you if you want to eat here.

Delicious, fast, inexpensive Chinese food. What else can you ask for? Panda Express? No that’s not authentic Great service! We’re always greeted with a smile! The owner is so friendly and serves quickly. There isn’t a lot of seating but what’s more authentic than Chinese take out? Combo fried rice is full of yummy meat and so is the combo deluxe. They definitely don’t skip out on the portions

Good food at a good price! Love the low carb bowl with beef! The beef is sooooo god and has a bit of a crisp when you chew it. Also the egg rolls are good, but make sure to tell them to drop a fresh load. Sometimes they taste not as warm as you would like. Also kung pow is very good as well. Fried rice is a lot better than the standard white rice.

I’ve been coming to this place for over 20 years! The family who runs the place are very sweet! My favorite meal is the chicken and rice bowl with 2 egg rolls and a ice cold can Pepsi! A good portion of food under 8 $! Their wonton soup is also a fave of ours!

Great Rice bowls at a good price, has a lot of rice but im a big guy, I loved it ALL! Cash only probably to avoid taxes? maybe post less sales than in reality? I don’t know. Its 2014, there is no reason why you cant accept a card, your cell phone can do it now. family owned and operated, the food has never let me down. I only get mad when I place an order and show up forgetting cash, all in all my fault but like I said, its 2014… haha 4 stars for consistent quality!

This used to be my go-to greasy Chinese take-out place. Until I noticed that the«shrimp» in my shrimp fried rice was actually crawfish tails — frozen and farm-raised in China, Thailand, Vietnam, India or some other place that isn’t Louisiana. Someplace where conditions are so unsanitary that those mudbugs are likely loaded with antibiotics and pesticides and preservatives and god-only-knows what other kind of chemicals to make them«fit for human consumption» by FDA standards. To most Southerners, eating imported crawfish is sacrilege. It’s like sneaking meat into a vegetarian’s dinner, or serving pork to someone on a kosher diet. And it puts good American families out of business. Skimping on quality is one thing, but false advertising is not cool.

Hole in the wall, Made to order, Huge portions, restaurant pricings with a Chinatown L.A. restaurant atmosphere. I ordered the orange chicken with rice & my friend ordered the teriyaki chicken deluxe to-go for $ 20. I only ate half of my rice &1⁄3 of the orange chicken for dinner. The orange chicken was good, but it was swimming in sauce. His deluxe was over flowing with chicken and veggies(with rice) and he finishes pretty much the whole thing. This has Chinese restaurant quality food, but turned into a fast-food restaurant. The food was good, but like all Chinese food I have for dinner, I feel groggy in the morning. Maybe it’s the rice since I don’t really eat rice anymore. I would definitely come here again… But I do like Chinatown Express on Saviers Rd.

Eh it’s ok I guess. I mean I will probably go back but I’m not going to be very optimistic about the food I will obtain from the elderly gentleman who I seem to have interrupted from some sort of time killing device he uses to move through time.

Meh, it’s OK for what it is: inexpensive teriyaki-style take out. This ‘restaurant’ is just a tiny little hole in the wall at a strip mall; hardly any seating(not that you’d really want to dine in here anyway). It’s also a cash-only establishment, and they’ll charge more for any extras such as hot sauce on the side. On the plus side, the food is alright and comes in large portions for the price. Not a bad place to pick up a quick, cheap meal to go.

Fast & Friendly Service. Food Prepared Fresh. We ordered: Orange Chicken Spicy Fried Won Tons Steamed Pot Stickers Beef with Broccoli Steamed Rice It was all delicious. The best was the spicy sauce that came with the Spicy Fried Won Tons which on their own are not spicy but the sauce is a dipping sauce and it was similar to sweet and sour sauce with a hot kick. Very good. The pot stickers all stuck together in the container when we brought them home but they were delicious as well, they also came with a pot sticker dipping sauce on the side. I actually did like the orange chicken. I read a review that it wasn’t that good but it was actually pretty good. I have no complaints on it. The beef and broccoli was good too, a lot of broccoli and a very nice mild beef sauce. The steamed white(sticky) rice was good also. The best part of all of this was that it was ready super fast, and it was fresh, and the chef(who I believe is the owner) should be commended on how amazing this food tastes for the price he sells it for. Great prices, and it tastes better than most around Ventura County that I have tried. This is really a «Take Out» place because the tables are tiny little almost child size picnic tables and although comfortable enough really feel more like spots to sit and wait for your food to take home. Love this place! Will return again.

This place is a food pick up joint with a few tables to sit down and grub. Inside is small so regularly people come to order out. It’s located in a vons shopping center along with other good places like Presto Pasta and I Love Sushi. Drop by a close-by bank before you go here because they only accept cash. Since the county government center is close by, lunch tine at this place can get quite busy. Being a hungry college student, i eat here often for my lunch breaks. I love their combo fried rice bowls(beef, chicken, and shrimp)…mmmm, yum! The best deals to try out would be their beef or chicken teriyaki rice bowls which run for $ 4.75 with tax. I don’t recommend the orange chciken from here, Panda Express has better. If you’re really starving, I’d go for the combo deluxe bowl(beef and chicken). Another order worthy of trying when in the mood for soup is their wonton soup.
