Steve, the owner and sprayer, asked me not to write this review. And I wasn’t going to until I realized the root of why I had a ridiculous experience with him was in fact his laziness and lack of attention to detail. He has no clue how to prep for powder coating and even less of a clue on how to deal with customers. I’m sure he does a good job with old fences and bicycle frames, but I seem to have found the limit to No Limit Powder Coating and it comes in the form of a VW wheel. I apologize in advance for the lengthy review but let me start from the beginning. I dropped off four VW Bug wheels to be media blasted and powder coated. VW wheels are two pieces of pressed steel, and there is a seam where both pieces meet that forms a circle on the front facing edge. When I went to pick up my finished wheels I noticed the powder coat was splotchy throughout the entire seam, and it looked absolute horrible, so I told Steve. Steve replied, and I quote, «That’s just the way it is, it’s road grime and sand blasting won’t get rid of it.» That was an absolute lie and he was hoping I would accept this and pay for the horrible job. You got the wrong guy, Steve. First of all, if it was road grime sand blasting would remove it and isn’t that the point of sand blasting prior to painting anything? Second of all, you could just look at it and see it was where the powder coat bridged the gap between the two pieces in some areas but not the entire seam. Steve didn’t say another word and walked away to hide in his paint booth. Top notch customer service right there. The next day I call them and spoke with one of his employees. She says he is working on fixing the mistake. I told her if the powder coat won’t work then sand blast the front edge and I will paint it myself and still pay for the complete powder coat job just to get me wheels out of there. Fast forward to a week later when I receive a voicemail saying my wheels are done and the total bill is $ 100 more than I agreed to originally pay. Steve was trying to get me to pay for the first round of sand blasting, first round of powder coating, as well as the second round of sand blasting and powder coating to fix his mistake. Seriously? When I called them back and asked how the wheels look, they said they are completely sand blasted to raw metal. I couldn’t help but laugh on the phone and told them there is no way I’m paying for two rounds of powder coating when all I ended up getting was sand blasted wheels. Steve and I agreed to figure over the phone and I will spare you the details of how that classy conversation full of amazing customer service went. The only thing you need to know is he asked me not to write this review. The reason I had to write this review is as I was prepping the wheels for paint over the weekend, I looked closely in the seam that was giving him trouble and realized what was stuck in there was the media he used to blast them with! The entire fiasco that lasted three weeks was caused by pieces of his blasting media getting lodged in the seam. Steve had to have noticed this before and was hoping the powder coat covered it up. Well it didn’t, and this is what the powder coat was bonding to in some areas but not all of the seam. No Limit Powder Coating ended up being another example of you get what you pay for. I searched for the cheapest price and in return received the cheapest craftsmanship and wasted three weeks. I have come to realize there are plenty of top notch powder coat companies in the Valley and I advise you to go with them over No Limit. Cheers

Sometimes, stuff happens and stuff can go wrong. It’s all about what happens next that says the true character of a business. I had something go wrong with my order, but after working it out with the owner, we were able to come to a mutual understanding and fair outcome was reached. In the past, I had brought in a part that needed to be powder coated and it was done so in record time as promised. The issues I had, I am happy to say have been acknowledged and steps have been taken to ensure it doesn’t happen again. That’s all I ask, and it’s what I got. It’s still a new company at only 4 years old, and sometimes on a rare occasion, things happen. I’m just happy everything was resolved satisfactorily. I give No Limit Powder 5 Stars for satisfying a customer that can be stubborn in opinion, me. It’s not an easy task, and I appreciate the effort.

I’ve got an iron bed that’s about 150 years old. The first time I stripped it of its 100 years of paint jobs manually. But that was then. Steve l learned, was a local businessman and his shop could quickly sandblast my bed of its recent paint jobs in preparation for a new vision of its continued usefulness. 1) he’s a real nice guy, easy to work with 2) his team are very nice folks 3) when I saw the bed frame after I didn’t recognize it(in a good way!) 4) they protected the screw threads with tape for sandblasting I’ll post pix of this very authentic, «people’s bed» after Steve’s work, and when done. I would not hesitate to recommend this shop for art quality work because of their attention to detail.

I must say… if you want the work done right, NOMATTERWHAT… go here! Steve is a honest great guy that and he can work magic. He did my 3-piece wheels no problem and put them back together for me. The work he does is outstanding and he has an eye for what would look good on a car. He works with you, shows you ideas, etc. I could go on for days about the guy and his company. If you are in the market to powder coat wheels(or anything else) — I would stop by here first and last. I went to about 5 other places and none of them had the service, quality and prices that Steve had. He is my go-to guy now for anything powder coated.

Great service and pricing. Dropped some bead lock wheel rings in the morning and picked them up the same day.
