My husband and I always stop here when we stay in Ventura. Love the tacos and bacon wrapped hot dog.

This is both for the catering and walk up ordering at the corner of thompson & chestnut. Their food as a walk-up taco truck is pretty darn good. Great tacos, salsas & quesadillas. We’ve binged on most of their menu. Catering– I hired Tacos Aaron to come to my daughter’s birthday party in January. It was such a relief because A) they have a truck and I did not have to worry about bad weather and where to set up the taco crew. They just parked on the street along the driveway and my guests ordered on the driveway! it was so convenient! B) They provided ALL the paper goods & utensils. I did not have to worry about any of that. C) they provided some other food options for the picky kids that would not eat mexican food ;) D) they accommodated my request for horchata! because it aint a real mexican party without horchata. E) They had many soda/drink options, which for me was nice, because I did not want to buy a ton of different flavored soda packs and have leftover. Their tacos were delicious, and they provided all the trimmings. They were the best decision I made for this party :) The crew was friendly and got along great with all my guests.

It was late, hunger was involved so it seemed like a good time for a taco truck. The line wasn’t bad… maybe 2 orders ahead. Order placed for a carne asada taco, cilantro but no onion & mild salsa on the side(if I don’t know a place, I usually get the mild) & a carne asada quesadilla, also with mild salsa on the side. The wait was longer than expected for the number of orders ahead, about 10 minutes. Taco was your standard small street taco size but the tortillas supporting the carne were lukewarm & chewy. The meat was flavorful but was also lukewarm. It must have been made before the quesadilla was started. The quesadilla was hot & melty with a nice crisp on the tortilla but the mild salsa? Not so mild… maybe the«scorch your tongue» salsa was given by accident? I like medium to hot but this was beyond. Luckily the quesadilla was so good it didn’t need salsa. All in all not my best taco truck experience but not awful. I’d try it again & see. 3 stars given for the yummy quesadilla.

These are the BEST tacos this side of the border! I just wish that he would be in one spot consistently. I have submitted him for Diners, Drive Ins and Dives. I sure hope he gets on it. I can’t get enough of his tacos! Yum!

Back in March, I was visiting Oxnard because of an event that was held & we were dismissed for lunch. My friends & I wanted something quick with no lines. Thankfully, my friend spotted this truck just across the street from a pizza place. I was in the mood for quesadillas so I tagged along. Best decision ever. Aaron was my server & I am definitely glad he was! He was very friendly & made great conversation & it continued after I left the order window. Seriously! Talk about great customer service! While I was waiting for my food, there was a festival going on & my friend walked around. I stayed by the truck so I can hear my number being called. There was no line & Aaron came over & we started to converse about his food truck. I found out how he got started that’s when I found out he was the owner of the truck! I should have known because Aaron was his name & it was on the side of the truck, lol. Definitely a down to earth & hardworking guy! You can tell how much he loves what he does. My food came & I was so excited to try it! I ordered carne asada quesadilla with horchata! Horchata– didn’t taste grainy! Which, I was happy about! Carne asada quesadilla– omg. After eating this quesadilla, other places don’t compare. I love how everything melts perfectly together & the meat is tender. Added the guacamole with every bite & it was heaven! It’s too bad the truck doesn’t come up to NorCal, lol. If you’re ever in the area, look out for Aaron & his truck! Delicious food & excellent customer service… You won’t be disappointed!

I can’t lie. This place is the bomb! I keep wanting to try something other than the steak tacos with green salsa tacos but I can’t! I keep getting lured in by their delishness. The truck and food are amazing!

Hot salsa is toxic. Not in a «too spicy» way; in a physically irritant way. Ruined my night.

my wife and I love living in downtown ventura because we love coming to this food truck. The owner is the friendliest guy ever, and service and food here is top notch. we love coming here to satisfy our asada fries cravings and their burritos are just as decent. support this local business and satisfy your hunger! it’s at the tireman parking lot. can’t miss it.

I’ve visited Tacos Aaron twice. The first time, I had a big plate of various types of tacos, they were superb. They had wonderful flavor and the meats weren’t greasy. On my second visit I had the carne asada fries, they were not the typical fare: not greasy, and didn’t feel as heavy as I anticipated. However, they weren’t appropriately sauced, in my opinion. There was some residual drippings from the meat and the melted cheese, of course, but it needed something extra. The allotted sour cream and salsa, each in their own small plastic container, wasn’t enough – I needed a slathering. Also, I wish they would include a big roasted Serrano or Jalapeño pepper on the plate, and offered horchata(not a deal breaker, though). The owner is a great guy, and very appreciative of his customers. I’ll certainly be returning to try more items on the menu.
