Oh. My. Goodness. Amazing beer, wonderful food, good people. No more can possibly be said about this local Vergennes hang out! We will definitely be returning.

Park Squeeze was a test for us. It was the first place we went out to eat with our newborn daughter. All in all, it was pretty good, except for the daughter part. We met some friends there for dinner. We each had a drink and split some maple chipotle wings. The wings were cooked well, and appropriately seasoned. At this point in the meal my daughter exploded into crying. We did what we could to calm her down, but not wanting a «Maine’s Marcy’s Diner» experience, Rachel took her to the car and fed her. I waited for our food and quickly ate my chicken burrito. The burrito was fair. Not too big, not too small. She ordered the steak tips, which looked really good, and were good cold when she ate them at home. They were cooked to medium rare, and the portion was worth the price. The service was very nice, fast, and understanding. We were the only folks seated downstairs, so we didn’t run the risk of annoying other diners. By the time other guests showed up, the crying baby was out the door. They were more than happy to try to keep Rachel’s dinner warm, and then wrap it up to go when it was clear she wasn’t going to make it back. Dinner for 4 with an app and drinks all around was just a shade over $ 110. Well within the value for what we got. I’d recommend this place. It’s not fancy, just solid, which is fine by me.

We had the Otter Creek Heritage Pork burger and split it, with a salad side, and the bucket of sweet potato fries: ITWASTRANSCENDENT. Affordable and fabulous, wonderful location, great service, everything you could ask for! Definitely stop in.

The summer roll was yummy and made with fresh ingredients. My boyfriend had the chicken verde burrito salad, which he said was great and flavorful. The food was excellent.

We were looking for restaurants on July 4th because most places were closed. We saw this place open. We walked in with a bit of skepticism. The hostess took us upstairs and we were quite impressed with the setting. When we looked at the food menu, our initial instincts were justified because it looked like an Applebee’s menu. My bf got a beer, which they poured in a warm glass and that wasn’t a good start. We got the burrito and sausage penne, and both were terrible. We were wishing we were in a Chipotle instead. For the setting they have for the restaurant if only they had a better menu and chef it would be a really nice place.

Nice atmosphere, nice bartenders, and good food. Not the best food I’ve had in Vergennes, but definitely worth it if you’re looking for a place to grab a drink and some appetizers.

I lived in the Vergennes area for 9 years but that was well over 11 years ago back when the Park Squeeze was still the tired little Park Restaurant. Imagine my surprise when I stepped into this narrow little eatery tucked between two other businesses. It’s no wider than an alleyway, but you’d never know it until you walk inside. OMG! I was blown away with the transformation! I couldn’t believe my eyes! Our guests made 7:00 reservations because it was Friday night. I said, «but it’s only Vergennes, how packed can it be?» Well let me tell you, that place was buzzing! The hostess… who we realized after chatting with her has been friends with our daughter for years… took us up a very looong, narrow and steep set of stairs to the second floor(former apartment). The space was incredibly huge! And the magnificent bar! I don’t know HOW they got that monster upstairs and in place? Maybe they built it up there? Who knows… thing is, it’s enormous and plenty big enough for at least 20 stools around it… and they were all taken. The upstairs is warm and cozy with its brick walls and lighting and intimate seating areas, but upbeat and lively at the same time. The drinks kept flowing, mass amounts of food continually going out to the dining room, and everyone seemed to be having a good time. The menu is American with an eclectic twist. Variations on classic American fare like mac & cheese and burgers. Although we didn’t have salads, they looked good as they passed by us to other tables. Our table ordered a plate of Nachos for an appetizer, a glorified version of Mac & Cheese with spinach, bacon and caramelized onions, Linguine with homemade Meatballs, Shrimp Lulu with what looked like vodka sauce over penne, a Squeeze Burger with a fried egg inside, and French fries and basic mac and cheese for our little 4-year-old guest. The food was a hit with all of us. The service was top-notch. The wait time was normal. All in all a great time! We’ll be back!

The Park Squeeze will easily catch your eye with it’s iconic neon lit sign. I gave this place a couple visits in the past month. I had some Jump On It incentives and figured it was a great opportunity to try a couple favorites and two different burgers. The Squeeze is really true to it’s name. It feels tucked right in there, on the block and into downtown Vergennes. This restaurant has had this feel from the time it was a diner or a noodle/wrap shop. The climb up the stairs to the bar is narrow and steep. The bar area felt warm and was well decorated. I ordered the arugula and spiced walnut salad and the special burger. It was an all american with bacon and american cheese. The salad was great if you like the bitter spice of arugula. The spiced walnuts, sliced apples and cucumbers. Along with the salty blue cheese and sweet cranberries which only added to the flavor of this perfectly dressed salad. The burger was cooked perfectly warm but pink with a nice sear. With the familiarity of these flavors, it allowed me to focus on the well seasoned local beef. The fries were thin and fried crispy which finished the traditional plate of tasty americana. The second visit was similar except the seating was downstairs at the front long table. The service was prompt and attentive even as the restaurant became increasingly busy. The salad this time had diced apples and cukes which I preferred from the sliced I had before. There seemed to be less nuts and blue cheese than in the salad I had before. Same great flavor though. The burger again was cooked perfect. The star this time was the tomato jam which created a whole different burger experience. I’ll be back to The Park Squeeze for another experience soon.

My friends have a classic car restoration shop locally and on a recent visit, they recommended we stop in here for lunch. I was told their clam chowder was«to die for» so that’s what I ordered. Usually, I won’t order a seafood dish so far from the ocean, but the scouting report was so strong I went for it. On first taste, I knew this was a top ten chowder! Rich, loaded with chunks of clams and loaded with well cooked, but not mushy potatoes. It was so good, I called my clam chowder expert friend to tell him how good it was and he requested I bring home a quart. Leap ahead a few days. I brought the take out chowder to my friend and he confirmed my judgement — this is great food! Definitely top ten. On par with his favorite at the Sturbridge inn. I also had a burger and fries — both excellent but the clam chowder is the reason to visit this small but interesting place. In the area? Definitely stop in. A clam chowder fan, make a trip! Highly recommended.

Heck Yeah! Dinner rezzy at 7 at the Squeeze! This is my spot after slaving away at work all week,(Facebooking and reading online reviews can be EXHAUSTING. Don’t judge me). Moving on – They have my all time favorite flat bread there, the house flat is sent down from heaven, how they won that arrangement, I don’t know and don’t care. I must have it at least once a week. Furthermore, Christine(bartender) makes the BEST margarita’s that I’ve ever had(my hubs has attempted to re-create these at home and has actually gotten pretty close). But like the house flat, the rita’s obviously come straight from some area of heaven as well. You can’t refuse heaven, can you? Didn’t think so. Over all, the Squeeze is a definite spot to wind down after a long week, just make sure you get a spot upstairs, the atmosphere is a bit more. Well, sultry. I’d say.

I live here and really find it difficult to leave a poor review of a local eatery that ostensibly has some of the best food reviews in my town… That said… I have eaten here with kid’s in tow three times. and we won’t be going back… Everything I try here is absolutely undewhelming… We have stuck pretty much to the pub food, burgers and chicken fingers etc… but from the fries to the salad’s nothing really stands out as being particularly good… I hope your mileage varies but I have much better experience’s at Antidote fwiw…

The food is spectacular. It took a long time on this busy Sunday night. Stuffed shells were over the top yummy. Sweet potato fries the best we’ve ever had. Talking Heads Stop Making Sense playing at the bar. Fun!

Food = delicious!!! Service = Awesome!!! Bartender talking way to loud = not awesome!!! Also he said to be a part of VERMONTFRESHNETWORK You need only 1 local food source. That is not correct as you need four if you are a restaurant. I won’t even get into the GMO convo he had with folks at the bar. He had no idea what he was talking about. I wish to shit he wasn’t a loud talker cause it would have been 5 starts!!!

Huge disappointment. We were so excited to have a new place open in our hood. Our expectations were high, considering the chef/owner. Why only two stars? For starters, they have the lamest selection of beer on tap(only 2) I think we had to settle for a switchback. The food was truly uninspired. If you’re vegetarian, good luck. You’re going to need that switchback to choke down a dry, unflavored falafel with 1000 island dressing dumped on top of the stale pita. I could go on, and tell about my carnivore husbands meal, but what’s the point? My only hope for this place is for a menu turnover. I will say, the upstairs bar is groovy. Good luck Park squeeze, we’d love to come back but need some incentive… Start with some good beer.

We were driving back from a couple of nights in Lake George NY and looking for a quick bite to eat. I told my husband that we should try this place as I’d read recently that they had just opened. We were not disappointed and it fit the bill perfectly! We split an order of lamb sliders with fries and an order of the chicken fingers. The chicken fingers were so different and just amazing — they were seasoned with a lentil mix and served with a coconut chili sauce which was delicious! The sliders were equally good and topped with a chutney. YUM. My one comment was the fries didn’t appear to be freshly made(they might have been but they didn’t appear it) and this doesn’t jive with the homemade vibe they are going for. But, giving them the benefit of the doubt on that one. Great service, cute place, we’ll definitely stop again if we’re in the area!

Great casual dining on finer cuisine. This place fills the gap between Black Sheep and the pizza joint Luigi’s. Lamb Meatloaf is great and the adobe pork turnovers are off the chain! Drink can be a bit pricey, but other than that, it is a welcomed addition to Vergennes’ offerings.

Park Squeeze fits well into the tiny Main Street of Vergennes, VT. Pleasant atmosphere and impressions of eating healthy quickly replaced the feel of a cramped seating space We ordered the, polenta fries, steak and cheese and a stir fry rice bowl. The fries were good, if you’re into polenta. The stir fry begins with an asian base, noodles or rice, but the danger of choosing your own ingredients, you may stray from your desired outcome. Steak and cheese wasn’t a philly… but rather a serving of steak and cheese with carmelized onions wrapped in a thick bed of spinach and horseradish sauce, all inside your choice of wrap. An interesting combination of tastes. Zesty. Tasty.
