third party for GE and act like they are just like GE techs. their company that represents them shows up in an unmarked vehicle. then has no idea how to take the dishwasher out and pull on it and breaks my cabinet and says that the cabinet was held together by staples and glue. had no idea why it was leaking and was not sure if it was leaking from the dishwasher or not. just a joke. then you call this company back and they say since we have an agreement there is no time frame on when a dishwasher can get fixed due to back order on parts. they have every excuse under the sun. and they are good at it. never buy GE again. better to go with better brand with better representation of warranty.

If I could give this company a 0 I would. Paid good money for several years on an extended warranty. Came back and said the part was too expensive to repair our Café Series GE over the range Microwave, so they would replace it. Ok, great, but they depreciated the value based on an inferior model that does not match our range, said they would send out a check. I had no option. When I went to try to purchase the microwave, it is no longer is being manufactured. Furious here.

Decent

Typically no one likes to deal with phone insurance companies and this might be the worst with customer service. my claim wasn’t even processed at a week later due to no one verifying my phone with my phone company (it takes seconds to do that btw). On top of that I wouldn’t have a replacement until the end of the second week. I was also asked to give my card information a second time because my quoted price of $ 175 had been changed to 150 on their end which now left me with a balance of 25?? wtf, not my fault??? Sounded fishy to me considering BEN wanted my info right then and there. I decided to call T-​Mobile and they were GREAT! Johnathon at T-​mobile got Erica from Assuant on the line and within minutes everything was better. Good to know there are a few good people out there working the late/​early shit. All in all I am thankful for the help of Erica and Johnathon.

We purchased an extended warranty with our Fisher Paykel appliances originally with GE, and it appears they have changed this to Assurant a few years ago. We have had very few issues with our GE appliances, but the Fisher Paykel ones are very poor.
The front line phone takers are courteous but unable to assist with too much.
If your appliances are making noises or you think their are about to faulter, they will refuse to open a ticket and send a technican under the contract. The unit must be malfunctional before they will do anything.
There was no preventive mantainance service possible either. But if you do have a sub-​contractor dispatched for a broken appliance you can usually talk to the technicans and see what their individual company can do.
I’m not sure what choices a consumer really has for extended warranties from the manufactures when you buy the appliances. I have seen several companies that offer warranties after the manufacture warranty is expired, but what recourse do we have from the overseas manufacturer?
