Our initial visit was horrible, but we actually received a call from the General Manager. He sincerely apologized and mailed us a coupon/gift card. Our last visit before leaving IL was great and we had no complaints.

I brought my daughter and her friend to a birthday party today. I wasn’t hungry enough to eat any pizza but I happily indulged in a slice of yellow layer cake with strawberry filling. It was better than I expected. The cake was equal to any that you’d buy at a grocery store bakery. Everyone on staff is very nice. The restaurant and play area is clean and well-maintained. Overall this is the nicest Chuck E. Cheese I’ve visited. The reason I took off a star is because the women’s restroom is in terrible condition. It’s not the mess, even though overflowing trashcans and toilet paper hanging out of the toilets is gross and annoying. It’s the fact that the doors wouldn’t even lock in the first two stalls I went into. That brought my rating down. But hey, if you can spend time here without needing to visit the restroom I’m sure you’ll have a great experience.

I just love the Vernon Hills, IL Chuck E. Cheese!(and also occasionally enjoy the Streamwood location, closer to my Family in Hoffman Estates). The new Manager, Erik, is top-notch, accommodating, professional and personable.- he made my Family and me feel as if we were dining at an actual restaurant, not just a Children’s play place. He helped my(crying) Grandson with a bit extra Chuck E time, checked in with us, held a very open and appreciative conversation with me(as I was glowing about Staff Member, who just received some sort of promotion), Devin K, who btw, is just adorable, affable, and was so cute with my Kid!). . Btw, I occasionally splurge on Pizza and think the Vegetarian option is totally ok(I mean not omg amazing, but ok) — particularly when fresh out-the-oven and hot. And really appreciate the Salad Bar.. I mean it’s not my standard fair(as a Whole Food, Organic, Slow Cook, often Raw Nutritionista), but for $ 50 for 4 hours of fun with my 2.5 year young GrandBoy —. I’m totally content! :-) . One more thing — and I’m going to get a bit Spiritual /New Age /Woo-woo on Unilocal here, but I believe people Manifest what they Seek and Focus On. Several of the ‘Published’ Reviews here are less than complimentary. Consider please the source and the mindset of the Reviewer. I almost always have a *good — great experience* everywhere I go, and whatever I do! What I Put Into the Universe is what I Receive. Consider this. And do it over a game of Ski Ball, or a slice of Pizza or plate of Salad — at Chuck E Cheese. Grab some water. Stay away from the candy and crap. Breath. Laugh, and smile. :-) … Keep up the good work! Love Chuck E Cheese!- and will go as often as able, when my Grandson visits. Thank you.

The pizza was okay and it is safe for your kids to play. This Chuck E Cheese was not as good as others when it comes to games and the stage is extremely out dated. I mean it is 2014 and Chuck E moves his head and that’s it. The screens are old also. My kids had fun, but they are both under 4 so anything with lights and sound interest them.

Went there yesterday and came down with a horrible case of food poisoning after. Still sick almost 24 hours later… ugh.

If you have money and little imagination, it’s a relatively safe place for your kids to have fun. Keep in mind though that most of the food is nutritionally garbage(except the salad bar).
