Misheel Nail Spa

This was a great find. I flew in from California on my way to The UK and needed my nails done. I usually don’t have a manicure as the paint tends to chip off within a week if not less. Since I was going on vacation, I decided to go for it and had heard about gels/​no-​chip. This shop did an amazing job on my French manicure. They were skillfully painted, and the technician free-​handed the white tips. They also looked very natural and not thick and fake like I’ve seen so many times before. I received numerous complements and 14 days later they are still chip-​free and shiny. I LOVE THEM! The pedicure was equally impressive. I couldn’t make a decision on what color to go with so another technician came by and helped me figure out what would work best for both summer and the need for me to attend formal events. She chose 2 colors to create a unique blend. It’s was such a pleasant experience to be well attended to, and I so appreciated it. THANK YOU!

This place is great! Clean, professional, sharp dressed technicians who take their time and do a great job. I called for an appointment 30 minutes before showing up with no problems. The neck massage was nice too!
I’ll be back!

Oh my goodness! This is by far the prettiest and the coziest salon I’ve ever been to. The pedicure chairs are full of colorful ands upper fun fuzzy pillows. I almost feel like a kid again. The staff are all so wonderful and super nice. The owner is an amazing person who keeps on showering you with compliments and food and drinks. I feel relaxed, loved and pampered.
The atmosphere is amazing at first glance, I am highly recommending this place to all the men & women out there. You will absolutely love it!
Just came in for the third time here, and they do NOT disappoint. Getting pampered never felt so good. The atmosphere is always amazing, the music is calming, and all the employees are friendly and they’re all lovely. It’s been five months since I’ve gotten mani and pedi, so this is a treat!
I highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone, you will walk out feeling refreshed and even more confident.

I tried this place last Saturday afternoon because my usual place was busy and I needed a no chip manicure in a hurry, and it had good reviews on Unilocal.It had a nice relaxing atmosphere and the staff was very welcoming. Overall I was satisfied, and hopeful I would be able to come back here again despite a few minor concerns (less attention to detail when filing nails and clipping cuticles, the tools not coming out of a sanitizing package, the nail polish bottles being so clumpy the girl had to fish giant clumps out). However, today after less than a week, my manicure chipped :(it’s even already starting to come up by the nail beds. Last time I had one at a different salon for the same price it lasted 3 weeks, 1 of which was an active vacation). I am disappointed-​$ 30 for an imperfect manicure (I noticed a couple bubbles in my polish later) that doesn’t even last a week?! I won’t be back here.
So a week and a half into my 2 week manicure my nail breaks where it had chipped earlier. And another chip appears on the other side of that same nail. 2 days later and the whole nail’s worth of polish has peeled off due to the break and having to cut it to even the nail out.

When I moved to Vernon Hills a few months ago I needed a new place. For the price I paid I would expect a massaging chair when getting a pedicure. A wooden seat with a pillow doesn’t even cut it. Also, my no chip chipped after 2 days. They fixed for free but then it chipped again on other nails a few days later. They people were nice and I loved their music… but not enough to go back. I found a place 100x better and slightly cheaper for better quality services. They have 2x the more color selection; iCare nails in Mundelein has my business now… sorry.

My current nail place (Apple — next to marianos) was «busy» and a little rude! So I turned to Unilocal to see what my next nail salon choice would be, and I am so thankful everything happened the way it did! This place took me in with open arms! Great selection of nail polish!
I had a no chip (which according to the reviews they last up to 3 weeks — definitely looking forward to that!) and a pedicure. The owner was nice enough to find a matching color for my toes. The quality of their nail work is awesome — love how they clean the excess polish with their mini brushes! And my pedicure did not last 15mins (about 35 minutes).
I already shared my thoughts with my sister and she plans to go tomorrow! Definitely coming back!

I just had a full set done here and it is probably the best set of nails I have ever had. Michelle did an amazing job and really took her time. I couldn’t recommend this place more.
I called an hour before and moved my afternoon appointment up to 11 and there was no problem in doing so. The salon is very clean and everyone there is very friendly and accommodating. I will definitely be back!

This is the best nail place in the area. Best pedicures! Actual spa like environment. They take their time and really focus on doing a great job and doing the extra little things. Massage is a nice touch. It’s always a great experience. Great talent and customer experience.

had a basic pedicure with a ten minute leg massage by sarah and she was fantastic!
she took careful detail to trimming, buffing and smoothing out the rough and uneven previous pedicure perfectly.
color options in essie, opi, gel etc. were
HUGE. newest colors also available… did I
mention that i am a nail salon junkie?
the application of base, colors and topcoat was flawless and the leg massage
soooo relaxing. I walk, make presentations, and put alot of miles on my
feet…they must feel great… or I don’t!
sarah accomplished all this in my first visit and she did it super well.
tea, coffee, h2o were also graciously offered and the space (and bathroom!)…
super clean! had a complimentary back/​neck massage to top off my service. it’s a great salon to try and I definitely will be back. very happy I found this salon!

Update — the second time I got no chip manicure here it chipped in 2 days! Very annoying given the price! Also if you get the owner you are good the rest of the folks are ok. One time they had to re-​do my pedi as a new girl was in training and she did not do that good.
This is by far the best manicure I have gotten in a long time! I am a mani pedi junkie and very picky (as you can see from my reviews). There is absolutely nothing that I did not like about the salon. Great staff and service. Wish I had a salon like this in Boston! Also want to call out that the salon is super clean and fresh! Love it. Will be coming back if am ever in town again. Did not even mind paying a bit extra as it was well worth it. Can’t rave enough about the place love love love!

I had a no chip manicure with Sarah and amazing sums up my experience here. The nail spa is extremely well kept, quiet, and definitely stands out in comparison to your typical nail spas. Such a relaxing environment.
I was surprised that the manicure comes with a hand/​back massage and they even clean your rings !
This is now my go to nail spa :)

It was my first time there and they we’re amazing. Everyone is so sweet and they cater to all your needs. I got a no chip mani and a classic pedicure and they were both the best I have ever gotten. Personalized treatment. Gentle touch. Attention to detail, concern to do what was needed. My mani & petit are beautiful. Special for vitamin e & paraffin were a nice touch for my dry skin. Modern atmosphere. Clean!

I happened to stop in Misheel knowing the strip mall from the hair salon that used to be there. I needed a holiday mani pedi and thought I’d check it out. I am very happy I did. They were all very nice and Sana did a great job on both my manicure and pedicure. Relaxed and friendly staff and they even gave everyone a nice green tea hand cream they use in the salon as a surprise holiday gift to say thank you. Nice touch! I will definitely be back for another relaxing experience.

I’m such a «nail salon snob». I want it all– an amazing manicure, wide selection of colors, great clean environment, and a great price. This place pretty much had all my check marks met. Very clean, very spacious, great selection of no chip colors, the no chip mani I had was done very thoroughly, she also gave me a very nice shoulder rub in the end. I will come back and try a pedicure here as well.

Great service from head to toe… literally. Loves how soft my skin felt afterwards. The pedicure itself was beautiful, my neck massage was heavenly, and my eyebrows are fabulous. Plus just friendly customer service in a relaxed setting. I’m just in town for a couple weeks but if I lived in the area I would definitely Come back on a regular basis.

First visit yesterday. I was referred by a friend. I can confidently say it was the best manicure & pedicure I have received in a very long time.
I often wonder if I’m just too picky when I leave a nail salon — I can always spot imperfections. Not this time!
The girls took their time and paid so much attention to detail. I’ve never seen this before.
Also, I had some odd little bruise on my toenail that had been there all summer. Somehow this awesome girl made it disappear! I am so happy I live nearby. Going to them for nails for my wedding in a few weeks :)
