Manager was nice but the two blondes — rude!!! I just wanted to confirm that a waiver was received online because there was an issue on the inviter’s side. Was told«if it would make you happy, you can fill out another waiver.» Really, «make me happy???» Very unprofessional!!!

I had played WhirlyBall once before coming here. This location was not that much different from the first I had been to. The location that was once off of Fullerton but now is gone. They have two courts where two teams of five go head to head in a game of go carts mixed with lacrosse with a wiffle ball. Apart from the WhirlyBall experience they have a bar, pool tables, areas to sit and drink, darts, rock climbing wall, a new-age juke box, laser tag, and more. Good fun experience for all ages.

I had a blast going here! I played Whirlyball for only 30 minutes and that was enough for me and my group to play two games. It is difficult to play at first with the cart but after 5 minutes you’ll get used to it. It’s a little pricey, $ 15 for 30 minutes but per player although I would say it’s well worth it. They also have laser tag, rock climbing wall and a bar /lounge area. I would recommend if you’re in the area and want to do something different than bowling, movie or walking around the mall.

Absolutley fantastic. 14 of my cousins and I attended this location for a game of Whirlyball ball and it was beyond fun! We cannot wait to make this a recurring outing. The most precious moment was when an employee noticed that my cousin with special needs was sensitive to the loud noise from the cars. They stopped the game to bring him ear buds. Very thoughtful. We’ll absolutely be back.

My company hosted our annual meeting/holiday party here back in December, and it could not have been better! I set up the event through Ashley, one of the event coordinators, and she was beyond accommodating to every crazy question or request that we had. Cindy was the manager at the venue on the day of, and she was great as well! I would never hesitate to recommend this venue to someone looking to book a company party or event. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves!

Absolutely awesome. Came here for a friend’s bachelor party. It was my first time ever playing WhirlyBall and I am a HUGE fan now. It was incredible. Hard to describe. If you’re at least mildly athletic /competitive /have basic driving skills you should play this game. It’s awesome. They pushed our timeslot back by 15 – 20 minutes or so and offered free laser tag while we waited. Hell yeah, why not? Not much else to say. Our referee guy was really cool and helpful and I feel terrible for forgetting his name. He had a nice beard.

Someone needs to build one of these in California, or maybe a few, but in remote areas so that corporate parties can be held and non-citygoers can have some fun. Whirlyball does really well to maintain its facilities to not make it smell like alcohol. Plenty of couches and tables for mingling, a single rock climbing, a few arcade games, a 2-story laser tag arena, alcohol, and two Whiryball courts. Whiryball is so fun when played a little tipsed, and even better with a competitive, semi-aggressive crowd. Of course, the game is not perfect since the balls get smashed out of form, but nonetheless a very fun game. It is literally the size of a junior bball court. Highly recommend adding this to your Chicago or Vernon Hills trips when visiting Illinois, especially with a group of friends(10-carts per court max).

Worst kids birthday ever. Seriously. In the history of kids. And birthdays. Ever. Waiting to do laser tag gives you few options beyond watching sports(lame) spending money on tokens for half a dozen arcade games(lame) or sitting at a bar(beyond lame).

I always heard of the term«whirlyball» but never knew what it really meant. It sounds like a fold up ride you’d see at a carnival. Oh, how it was anything but that. I came with my volunteer group on a Sunday afternoon. It was really fun coming here with the kids I volunteer with because they get just as into it as the adults do. Even more. Basically, it’s like bumper cars, lacrosse, and basketball all in one. At first, it was a little difficult to get used to steering the bumper car. Many times I found myself stuck in a corner, feeling defeated as I tried to maneuver myself back into the game. But once you get the hang of it, it’s really fun. I did leave the place with a gigantic bruise on my knee though. I was a little TOO into it. They also have laser tag and rock climbing. Our group didn’t do the latter, but laser tag was fun. I’d like to come back here in the future. Probably under the influence. And with people of age to drink with at the bar. Also, I’d like to try their food. I nibbled on one kid’s cheese fries which were not bad. I was really eying her chicken tenders tho… until next time.

Went there for the first time in awhile recently since their main bartender left for a different position and the their manager transferred. It has definitely changed a lot and not all that for the better. Unless you are a regular the female bartender will take forever to serve you. They weren’t that busy and she kept on a conversation with one of her regulars while I was standing there waiting for another drink for 15 minutes. Whirlyball is still fun. It just seems like the staff misses their old manager. This location has lost a lot of their good staff and gotten some real mediocre staff members.

Alright, I admit… I was skeptical coming here. Basketball, bumper cars, and Lacrosse combined? You’ve got to be kidding me. But… I have to say, this was a blast. The bumper cars are a little tricky and take some getting used to. They all have the equivalent of a «suicide knob» that you use to steer one-handed, and reverse and forward controls are the difference of 180 degrees with the stick. It took our group about 2 games to get into the swing of it. After that, though, it was nothing but fun. In between rounds, they have some pretty good food, and great drinks. The staff was friendly, fun, and helpful. This is definitely an experience worth trying. You might be surprised how much you like it.

WhirlyBall is a ton of fun — that’s all you really need to know. According to their website, «it combines lacrosse, hockey and basketball with bumper cars» if that helps give you an idea of what to expect. I was here as part of a group/corporate outing, and I was sad when our time was up. The cars don’t go terribly fast, but if you hit someone head to head, you will get a good jolt. On that note, one of my biggest complaints is that some of the seat belts could not even be adjusted, and some of them could not be adjusted tight enough. I’m about average height and weight, so I was surprised that I could not tighten down most of the belts enough(and some weren’t even adjustable — way too loose). I’m surprised this hasn’t caused more safety issues, especially with smaller/petite ladies and younger people. The beer selection is actually really good here, and they have a decent selection of liquor. There is a climbing wall, video game/arcade area, LazerTag, and several TV’s tuned to sports games/sports talk shows. I believe there is a jukebox if you need to hear your favorite song before going to battle it out in a game of WhirlyBall. In addition to the seat belt issue, some of the cars were in need of repair. Some of the car bodies had holes/damage, and the vinyl handle you use to control your car kept coming off on one of the cars I was in. Imagine a loose ball and you’re able to break away from the group but as you approach, your handle slips off and you lose control of your car. Another thing they might want to look into is I noticed in several cars they had rather long ends of bolts exposed. Sort of like they had to repair/replace something but didn’t have the right sized bolt, so they used one way too long and never cut it off. It might be a good idea to cut those down to size so people don’t snag their clothes/shoes or cut or scrape themselves. Overall, I had a great time and I hope to go back again.

Came here for a work thing which isn’t exactly the highlight but this place was a lot of fun. I had never heard of WhirlyBall before but it’s basically bumper cars with a touch of lacrosse. It’s like free rein to hit your boss or other undesirables without any consequence all in the name of fun. It was a lot of fun I unashamedly admit. This seems like a great group outing place. It’s easy to play and hard to master. We had 20 so when some were playing we hit the pool table and the other games to keep us amused. Definitely worth it, although we didn’t pay! lol

This place is great. Lots of fun things to do, great food, and an amazing and eclectic beer and drink menu. This place is a hidden gem. Have had discussions with the Bar/Food Manager, the General Manager and the Staff Bartender. They are all very nice and are more than willing to hear comments and suggestions. They have drink specials every night, which makes it actually cheap to come and enjoy a game on one of their many TVs and have a good time with some company. Their food is of better quality and better portions than any of the local sports bar chains, ie: Buffalo Wild Wings. They have 10 – 14 beers on tap at all times, with some very hard to find or rare beers always available on draft along with at least 40 other varieties in bottle on hand. Wednesday nights, they have $ 1 Miller Light Bottles, which is unheard of in the suburbs. It’s great and makes for a nice break in the week. Overall, I will continue to go here at least once a week, until they kick me out!

OMG! We had a blast here! I was surprised that children were allowed in here at night(we got there around 11 or midnight) and there were still kids running around. I guess with all the drunkenness and the bar in the main room I was a bit taken back by this. We arrived with a couple drinks in our systems already(we nominated a designated driver for the real car!) and we were ready for some fun. There was a group of 8 of us and we wanted to play for a half an hour… I thought I would get bored after this amount on time, since I have never played before. They told us it would be about a half an hour wait and we decided to hit the bar, play some foosball, and pick out some songs on the juke box. It was probably about 15 minutes later when we were called to play. The game was soooo much fun. They split our time into two 15 minute games with a short intermission to take another quick shot. The last game I mostly drove in circles :). I also got hit in the lip during the second game and have a pretty cool battle scar(well its a scab right now but it has only been one week!). Everyone here was awesome and I cannot wait to go back!

We had about 20 people playing for 2 hours on Saturday for a 30th birthday party, and it was great. We alternated who was playing and who was watching/drinking. We had the viewing room to ourselves, so we could be as loud as we wanted. This Whirlyball place has laser tag and an indoor climbing wall. We saw a ton of kids birthday parties, and for people with the money that would be a great kids party. After we finished playing everyone was complaining about bruises and whiplash. It was fun, but now I need some time to recover from Whirlyball. The service was all over the place. In the begining it took me a long time to get someone’s attention to find out where our court was. My first drink at the bar was quick, but when a big group all approached the bar at the same time, it put a strain on the lone bartender. Whirlyball is always a bit expensive. Drinks here were a decent price. My rum and coke was $ 4, which isn’t terrible. It looks as though you can bring in your own cake, but we went back to our friend’s place for dinner and cake. This Whirlyball place has a decent size parking lot, but is a little hard to find.
