Terrible experience. Came here for a wedding reception and room wasn’t ready for over an hour after check in. When we finally got our room, it was practically in the basement with windows on ground level so we couldn’t even open our curtains. We went to get ice and in the ice room instead of a machine there was rotting room service food on a tray on the floor. I called the front desk to tell them about the food and to ask about ice and they apologized about the food and that they would send ice to us right away. The ice never came and the food was still there the next day. Also when we got home I realized my perfume and a bottle of Advil was missing from my bag which I called the hotel about and they claimed housekeeping checked the room again and it wasn’t there. Needless to say, we would never go back again!!!

Went here this past long weekend since my daughter had off for teachers convention. The room we checked into had cobwebs in the bathroom and they didn’t even vacuum the room the day after we checked in. We were a party of 3& they didn’t even include enough linens, a pillow or blanket for our daughter. My husband called the front desk & it took 15 – 20 min for someone to pick-up the phone! They were able to bring the items up at least 1 hour to an hour & a half later since we stopped at the front desk on our way out to dinner. This place is a far cry from being a 5 star resort. When another room upstairs flushed the toilet you could hear the water flushing. Wouldn’t come back here.

Daytime activities are fun — not much to do at night. In a secluded area.

One of the worst services I’ve experience. I’ve asked concierge for help and got total NJ trash attitude — couldn’t believe it! I have zero plans to come back here and would not recommend it

This hotel is reasonable for corporate retreats. But it looks a little shabby and their food is average at best.

Facility — nice Drive from anywhere in metro NYC area — short Staff — friendly Rooms — nice Tennis facility — good Pool area. Kinda cool Hot tub. Not hot enough Food — ok Price — its up there Restaurant service — bad — as in you will wait a very long time for your food in any restaurant on this property. Don’t show up hungry or you will likely want to choke someone. Bring a granola bar and magazine Also If you are one of those odd people who like indoor heat in the winter don’t come here. It was cold pretty much in all the common areas including each of the restaurant areas. Cold draft at dinner. Breakfast felt like navy seal training. Can you say Brrrrrreakfast. Net net. A decent place but I’m thinking we can do better at this price point. Didn’t meet my criterion for a resort

I can not complain about the resort is amazing and the room was very nice although I think the cost is a bit high, my only problem was the restaurant a order vegetarian lasagna that did not have the slightest taste my friend asked ribs and finished super sick and also the price was exaggerated

The resort is beautiful. The indoor outdoor pool is great. I did however come in contact with public safety while I was staying for a wedding. My best friend married her wife and was trying to enter the bar in their beautiful dresses. After a very confusing conversation where he finally realized they married each other and it wasn’t two separate weddings he became very rude. It was the most inappropriate thing I have ever seen. Who wants to end their wedding night with a homophobe making you feel like less of a person. I brought up the situation to another staff member who went out of his way to find us later in the night to apologize for public safety. They also trolled the hallways like they were an RA in a dorm. It was very awkward. Everyone can have their own opinions but if you are a hired employee you need to keep your personal feelings out of your job.

As I pull up to this beautiful resort it took my breath away… couldn’t wait to party here for my best friends wedding… when I say best friends… I mean two lesbians who love one another and couldn’t wait to get married… all was well until the after party.until.some miserable human being who is apart of the. «public safety. «squad that works at CRYSTALSPRINGS couldn’t grasp the fact that two girls just married one another… still living in the 40s with his handle bar mustache changed his beat when the word lesbian was brought about… and became a prick and basically snubbed them and made them and everyone else with them. uncomfortable .all I have to say is… take ur million dollar resort and shove it up ur ass… buy some class instead… ps…the only thing that’s great is the COCKtail hour…(get it)

My girlfriends and I went to Crystal Springs for a bookclub getaway! the accommodations were great! WELOVED the indoor/outdoor pool. We had a phenomenal experience at the spa. Would recommend for any group spa event! The facials and massages were top notch. The best part was relaxing and chatting while our feet soaked in rose water! loved it!!!

The reason this place gets 2 stars only and not more is because if there was a land where all racists loved and worked it would be in this place. The reason this place gets 2 stars and not less is because of the view and the scenery which is breathtaking. So, it’s basically the right place with the wrong people. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE who works at this place is a white racist, from the front desk girl to the pool waitress. Where do I start? The front desk girl kept us waiting and handled a group behind us instead. The spa receptionists«Christie» and another brunette never showed a smile when I checked in, especially Christie who was on the phone while I was talking to her and never bothered to say excuse me! The waitress on the pool, Kim, was very rude and showed an attitude but only when I tipped her she started showing a smile, shows what kind of staff they employ there. The valley boy kept us in the car waiting while he finished his conversation with a white bimbo before taking the car. One of Starbucks staff on the pool ignored my request to have Splenda and gave me regular sugar instead. A waitress kept the door opening for a couple of white guests until she saw me and my husband and left the door hanging which almost hit my daughter’s face. At the Bistro, the receptionist wouldn’t seat us claiming that all tables were reserved or taken while most of them weren’t and I could see them. Bottom line, this place is the land of racism. I don’t know if they hire them that way or train them to be. If I had an authority of some sort, I’d shut it down immediately. Last time ever.

This place has lost my business and the business of family and friends as well as coworkers. I’ll be sure to steer everyone and anyone I know away from here. Staying here now and won’t be checking out until tomorrow and experienced such disappointment before my trip has even concluded. The room is beautiful and the views exquisite but that’s about where the experience ends. The staff is inviting at first but quite condescending and talk to you as though if your not spending $ 2000 with a family of 4+ or a member of their country club, your a lesser person. My girlfriend and I are here to celebrate an event and I’m unsure if it’s simply because we are mid 20’s and not 40+ and look like Rockefeller, but the attitude and disregard towards us as oppose to other couples has been disgusting and down right bad business. We’ve been dismissed on multiple occasions when asking for directions or help in our short time here already. The real icing on the cake was today when I showed up to the country club. I had reserved a tee time weeks in advance and showed up to check in and hit the range an hour before my time. I had reserved the time on my credit card(the same one to which I charged/reserved the room). I called them this morning to verify if I needed to being that card with me or if having it on file were enough, and after speaking with«Chris» we reverified my card number and was advised I did not need to bring it and it’s on file(for the second time). Needless to say after sending my girlfriend with my card for her 4 hour $ 500+ spa day across the resort, I was informed that they needed the card to charge it and couldn’t allow me to play. Not only did they inform me of this, they announced it loudly as if to showcase the fact that I was having a payment issue. Unable to reach my girlfriend via phone as there’s no service(another issue in itself at this resort) I was told to come back when I figured it out and shooed away. Ironically I was told if I don’t show up, they’ll charge my card. How is it possible you don’t have my card on file with two separate verifications of the fact and can’t charge it when I’m ready to play, yet tell me your going to somehow have the card be chargeable if I don’t show up or show up late for my tee time? This place is nothing but a façade of a classy exterior and classless interior. The condescension and utter disregard for a youthful couple and the disrespect is appalling. I golf 1 – 2 times a week for business and pleasure and we travel just about every two months for weekend trips and this facility can be assured they’ve lost my business and certainly anyone in our families as well as colleagues. We’ve had great experiences elsewhere at other resorts and will certainly not be returning. Downright disgusted and look forward to turning as much business away from here both in my personal and business life.

My husband’s company has a celebration here every year. I look forward to this getaway because it is simply beautiful. We had a HUGE suite with a kitchen, living room, dining room and a balcony with fireplace outside. Everything is state of the art… and so much nicer than home! I was sad when we had to leave! Would love to bring the kids up here to enjoy the biosphere pool. We also swam out to the outdoor pool…98 degree water with 22 degree weather… it was incredible. One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in by far.

Home from Chicago for the holidays and mom decided we should check out some new places to dine. No special occasion, per se. Just some time to enjoy each others’ company. We started with a tour of one of the most extensive and beautiful wine cellars we’ve ever been in. Susannah, the sommelier, was a highlight. Her graceful and gracious style was free of pretense. She is a person who clearly loves what she does and where she does it. As we were the only ones on the tour, she took her time and engaged in conversation well beyond just rattling off a tour script. She was as much storyteller as sommelier and tour guide, which made all the difference. While the cellar is impressive, Susannah made it utterly memorable. After the cellar we had a dinner reservation at La Tour. With only about a dozen tables, we were the only ones there until about half-way through dinner when three other parties joined the room. When we were seated, we were told that they don’t turn tables and that ours was ours for the night. We were encouraged to stay as long or briefly as we’d like. At La Tour they want people to dine, not eat. A wonderful distinction. Bruno was our front server. He is a trip and a half. Professional, yet warm and personable, with a good sense of humor. He knew how to read our party’s personality and thus how familiar to become with us so it all felt natural and comfortable. Not at all like servers who want to be immediate, casual, best buddies without even knowing you. We opted for the 3-course dinner menu. Each bite was 5-star. With two bottles of wine and a complimentary glass of port we had the pleasure of spending the rest of the evening with Susannah which was an added bonus. As with any fine dining experience there were complimentary surprises including an amuse, the above-mentioned dessert wine, and a plate of post-dessert petit fours. Here’s the kicker: We sat at that table for nearly four hours. It didn’t even feel like two. We were never rushed. We were never made to feel like our time was up. We were not ignored. Neither were we hovered over. All of which are ways staff of a restaurant mark time and influence how you feel at the table. We couldn’t believe how easily and quickly the time passed. This is also the sign of a remarkable dining experience. With two other restaurants on the property, we’re excited for mom & dad to do more reconnaissance for our next trip home!

Beautiful course! The only draw back is the moguls. Also cart path only. Difficult course not for beginners. Better choices on same property.

Definitely a great location. Service was average. Appetizers were pretty good(oysters good). Dinner was fair, not terribly expensive. The wine selection was great. Also went on the cellar tour to see some of the 130,000 bottle collection there. Was the highlight of the evening aided by a very knowledgeable guide. Claims to be one of the top 5 wine collections in the world.

Review for the Crystal Tavern restaurant on the resort. 4 stars — Food — great chef 1 – 2 stars — Service — run by local teenagers Food: Great selection of American bistro food with burgers, basic steaks, salads, pasta, etc. I had the Myers burger which was cooked properly and clearly fresh. The appetizers(pretzels with mustard) and other lunch entrees(chicken pesto sandwich, veggie burger, fish and chips) were also very well prepared. They clearly have a good chef. Service: The place is run by some local teenagers who have never been trained on how to work in a restaurant. If you’re paying $ 12 – 19 for a burger and $ 24+ for pasta entrees, you expect decent service. The waitress we most recently had(Lindsey) entered our orders wrong(the kitchen made it correctly based on what she entered), didn’t refill our drinks, and disappeared at the end for 20+ minutes. The hostess had to go looking for her. There were 3 – 4 groups in the entire restaurant.
