Friendly and quick despite a holiday rush! Our second visit; on road trip South. Will stop again.

I have always found Denny’s to be more than adequate though the years, I rarely have anything other than breakfast and this location is by far my favorite. The food and service is prompt and efficient and I find the wait staff to be middle aged or older which accounts for the elevated service level, I believe. I’d say I’m a faithful fan particularly at the Vernon location.

My boyfriend and I visited on a Tuesday afternoon at 12:30pm. We were seated at the bar. Max was our waiter. He was friendly and apologetic about the glacial pace of our food. We ordered a Lumberjack breakfast and a super bird sandwich. It took 45 minutes to receive our food. The turkey on my sandwich was grey and cold. The Canadian bacon in the lumberjack breakfast was black and burnt. We ate about half of our food. I noticed that everyone in the dining room wasn’t eating their food either. The GM processed our check on the way out and never apologized once for the speed or quality of our meal. We will not be back.

Looking forward for a Pot Roast dinner. We asked the server a few questions and she didn’t know the menu. We put the order in and when I took the first bite of my dinner I had to spit it out. Total fat. Took another bite, same thing. Called her over, she took the dinner and ordered spaghetti and meatball. Would not recommend this dinner. Meatballs had fillers in them, no taste on the sauce. Total dinner covered in cheese. Would recommend Denny’s to train the staff. Servers should know the menu.

This place I constantly say to myself i’m never coming back, but after some time of not going here for a long time I seem to give this place another chance and get utterly disappointed. The service is poor the quality of food is poor and the dishes and silverware is always dirty with a distinct smell to it. The last time I was here there was a loud obnoxcious waitress who you could hear clear across the restaurant and had her kid there who was bouncing all around the restaurant I couldnt believe it that none of her coworkers asked her to quiet it down. I ordered the sirloin steak with corn and cheddar mashed potatoes. I know this was dennys but that had to be the chewiest steak I ever had half of it I had to spit out simply because I couldnt chew and swallow it, the corn was a whitish yellow and had no flavor to it. Only way im coming back here is if im drunk out of my mind late at night with no where else to eat.

Awful. Food was bad, expensive. My girlfriend wanted syrup for her pancakes(wasn’t already on the table like most diners) we asked at least 7 times before I had to go up to the kitchen and ask myself. By then the food was cold so i just poured the maple syrup on the table and left. Never going back. I didn’t enjoy the taste of anything off the grand slam I got.

Do you want cold food, items missing from your meal or poor service? This is the restaurant for you! We had been faithful customers for a very long time until recently when consistently poor service has caused us to stop. No more chances! On our last visit we spoke with the manager who replied«you should have said something sooner». If our server had ever checked in with us we would have. Clean up your act! Serve hot entrees hot and check on your customer after serving. Please refill requested beverages. It isn’t that difficult– really.

I should have taken it as a sign of the experience when I was handed menus at the door and pointed where to sit, this place takes the place of the old friendlys franchise for slow service. The food was typical Denny’s fair. The service was poor. I think it was the manager was giving commands to his staff so the whole place could hear him. How enjoyable.

Not a bad stop for a quick family friendly lunch during a road trip, close off the highway exit. Liked the cranberry apple salad i ordered for lunch. Also ordered the philly cheese steak sandwich which was unfortunately too salty. Kids meal options were attactive, especially the plentiful healthy side options offered(veggies and dip, fruit cup, etc). You can also pay $ 2 for a kids’ drink served in a covered cup that looks like a cupcake(cute).

It’s very hard to get excited about Denny’s but from time to time I meet someone here for a business breakfast mostly because it’s never really busy early in the morning and you can carry on a conversation without yelling. The staff is always welcoming so the above mentioned two statements earn them the two stars. The service however leave something to be desired and the foods well it’s Denny’s and I’m really not a fan. Today’s issues centered around the servers inability to communicate with the cook so both orders were incorrect and were corrected in 30 seconds so I’m sure it wasn’t a do over it had to be a repair and that doesn’t make me feel happy. I should have known this visit was headed south when the server kept interrupting to try and force us to order when I told her we weren’t in any hurry she told us we should order because the«good cook» was leaving shortly and made a strange face. If this is the results of the«good cook» verses the…“bad cook???” I think I’m going to suggest other options next time and I’m not speaking about the food but rather the restaurant.

The Cheddar Cheeseburger is Awesome. I bring my daughter here every other week for Daddy Daughter date night. The service is very quick and the staff is very accommodating. I would recommend dinner here, anything after 12midnight and it gets a little crazy with all the drunk people. I am not a fan of Fast food, but as a chain restaurant this place beats McDonalds, Wendys, Burger fi and Burger King,

Server was nice! But as previously stated it’s a Denny’s! Not very clean, food wasn’t great, wouldn’t go back to this location.

I mean it’s Denny’s, so my expectations weren’t that high. Eggs were cooked wrong, hash browns were cold, bacon burnt and service was slow as molasses. Wanted to pay with card but got tired of waiting to pay after at least 20 minutes so scrounged all of our cash together to pay for it. No thanks Denny’s, I’m good cooking eggs at home next time LOL

We waited over 30 minutes for food. .the server said they lost the order slip. For a Monday night the restaurant was very messy. .dirty tables & a wait staff that appeared to be very disorganized.

This place really needs an update. Was there at 9 am. Prime breakfast time and it is just so sad that you can’t get anyone to acknowledge your presence. I sat myself at the counter and had five different employees walk pass me and not one of them greeted me. It became an experiment of sorts for me to see just how long it would take to get served, well it took 22 minutes to get that service. Got a cup of coffee but was never offered a refill or warm up. Got my meal and asked for maple syrup and the server said that its not real maple but it is maple? What kind is that??? Finished my meal and tried to pay… here’s the best part saw two parties get fed up and walk out without paying I asked twice before someone came over to cash me out. I own a small business and in this economy we need all the customers we can get and can’t afford to have people dine and ditch as I was told its called. The server I had was fine for all that she did. The food was cafeteria quality the restroom was gross and smelt of human waste to say this place needs attention is being as generous as I can possibly be!

Due to being an incorrigible drunk, I recently went to Denny’s. Long gone are my teenage years, where we’d spend many a night drinking coffee and smoking indoors(SHOCK! HORROR!) I was actually kind of excited to come back to this diner after so long. Now, the restaurant itself isn’t bad. Alicia, our server, was as good as it gets. She was polite and helpful and did everything she could to make our dining experience pleasurable. The landscaping is nice. The building is clean and well-lit. Compared to other Denny’s locations, they easily take four or five stars. But, then there’s the corporate diner food. We started with nachos and a sampler. I swear the appetizers were priced at $ 4.99 on the menu, but we got charged $ 7.99. It was almost definitely my mistake. The nachos weren’t bad. I never realized that there were actually noticeably cheap tortilla chips out there. Well, now I know. However, they were loaded with toppings. Overall, I enjoyed them. Now, on to the sampler. The onion rings weren’t bad. The mozzarella sticks were on par with your standard diner fried cheese. The chicken tenders were slightly below the quality of store brand frozen ones. Still, they tasted fine. BUTWAIT. Why in the hell do you put three mozzarella sticks in the sampler, but only two chicken tenders? The day my totalitarian régime finally takes over, my first order of business will be to make it law that all items on a sampler platter must be equally divisible by either two or three. You pick, but violators will be shot. Gone will be the days of cutting a jalapeño popper in half, or pretending as if you really don’t care if Jimmy gets the extra wing. You care, and I will see to it that you shall suffer no longer. Time for the entrees. Being 2:30 in the morning, it can just be assumed that I’m ordering something with a reference to baseball or lumberjacks in the name. Lumberjack Slam it is. After being asked if I wanted cheese on my hashbrowns, my buddy asked«can you get chili on those, too»? Well, apparently you can. You can also add all sorts of things to your pancakes. Awesome. Denny’s sure is accommodating. Well, then our food arrived. The hashbrowns more closely resembled water chestnuts than they did potatoes. Flavorless and questionable in texture. They did have quite a bit of cheese on top, cooked to perfection. The cheese was melted and gooey, but with crispy bits around the edge. If it had any sort of flavor, it would have been amazing. Strangely, there wasn’t any grease present. Even if it was cooked on a dry griddle, wouldn’t there at least be some grease from the cheese? I’m pretty sure none of it was made from anything people typically consider food. I’m thinking something similar to packing peanuts with silicone melted over the top. Oh, did I mention the chili my FDA-approved food product was drowning in? This is where we, as human beings, need to draw the line. The Denny’s kingdom raked in $ 538,500,000 in 2011. Their menu is designed by chefs working for the corporation. When you make half a billion dollars in one year, you can afford to pay somebody to taste the food in addition to creating it. There is no way that somebody could have thought this was a good idea after tasting. Take one jar molasses. Add one drop liquid smoke. Serve. I could not believe how sweet this was. It wasn’t even recognizable as chili. Honestly, it could only be described as vile slop. Absolutely disgusting. They should be ashamed of themselves. I got my pancakes with blueberries. I’m assuming the blueberries were frozen or freeze-dried, or preserved in some manner. There was just too much snap on the outside with too much mush on the inside to be fresh. The pancakes were okay, but not any better than I could make at home from a mix. The rye toast deserves a mention. Their rye is basically wonderbread with caraway seeds. I wasn’t a fan. I’m pretty sure the sausage links are precooked, then frozen. I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re heated up by boiling them. They were just plain odd. They had the color of cooked meat, but the texture of raw meat. I couldn’t put enough syrup on them to even finish one link. Denny’s was always a great place to be young and just hang out with your friends. Since I never had enough money for anything but coffee, I never realized the food was of this quality. Sure, it’s cheap, but so is your average diner with acceptable food. Hell, their lunch and dinner offerings may even be good. I would steer way clear of their breakfast, though.

I’ve been coming to this Denny’s as long as I can remember. I’ve never had a better breakfast any place else. I usually get the grand slam, with turkey bacon, pancakes, eggs(cooked over-well for me), and sausage. I’ve also come here really late night(2AM) with a huge group of friends after my high school senior prom. Even then, the place was moderately busy, and the food was just as good(bacon topped cheese fries!). The décor is nothing to run home about, but it doesn’t matter. It’s a diner-style restaurant. Overall, I love this place. I’ve heard horrible reviews about other Denny’s elsewhere, but this one is great.

Road trip= Denny’s. Yes, a Grand Slam with scrambled eggs no matter where you are driving to or driving from is always a good road trip comfort food for me. In this case, don’t know where the hell I am, but a Boston to NY road trip requires the good ‘ol gran salami for me.
