Apparently I checked in to this place. I do not remember even going. So let that be your guide. Nothing memorable…

Consistency is certainly important in any fine dining establishment, and Bijou has certainly mastered that: it takes almost an equidistant period to have a server take your drink order as it does to bring a serving of bread; or for that matter every course in between, when the servers actually present the order correctly. While I appreciate apologies for service inconsistencies, at the point that the apologies become the mantra of the evening from multiple servers, I become irritated. Especially when I have recommended the choice of the restaurant to my dining companions. Don’t get me wrong – many of the dishes we ordered we actually quite enjoyable. And the truffle fries would have been quite tasty if they had been brought when requested before our full meal had been ordered and contained more than a faint wisp or hint of truffle. The onion rings were very fresh and light with a wonderful dipping sauce. But they would have been better if they had been served hot, instead of in the tepid manner which they were presented. The lamb chops were delicious, but I felt like I had been scammed when the server advised me that with the prix fixe menu I would receive three chops, but I only received two. The Parmesan cheese potatoes accompanying the lamb were quite a disappointment. Very dry and bland. This is a restaurant that I really could like if it got its act together. The prix fixe menu is a bargain indeed. If I decide to go back, it will not be on a Saturday night which the staff and/or kitchen apparently have a difficult time handling a full dining room. And hopefully then I won’t have to listen to the table behind me also complain about their service as well and their chewy escargot. Accolades are great, but it is foolish to rest upon them.

The cuisine will make your taste buds melt with joy, but the wait staff will really take your meal over the top! Stephen, Katie, and Sara took care of my friend and I on a slow night and made us feel like queens. I ordered the soup du jour(carrot ginger, a personal fave!), warm melted brie salad, and truffle fries. The crisps over the creamy carrot ginger were sooo good. And their shoe string thin french fries were so good, we ordered more! The super star of the evening was a homemade, super rich chocolate dessert. The thick whipped cream on top was divine and left us feeling so happy. We were so excited to try out this new gem and will certainly be back. Thank you!

Vero is not what it was ten years ago. The chef here is the real deal. Inventive and thoughtful. We ordered salmon, strawberry salad, carrot soup, veggie plate, and cheesecake. Everything was slap yo momma good. The price point is excellent for the quality and the service is AMAZING. Great mixologist at the bar. Ask for Steven’s section— he made my mom and I feel at home and taken care of. I hope Bijou will be around for many years. Bravo yall!

I took my wife here and we were blown away. First off the places was very busy(I see this as a good thing) we didn’t have a reservation but the hostess immediately offered us a table outside to wait and some wine. After just a short while we realized that with the overhang and fans it was really comfortable outside and decided to eat there. Since there still was no servers to help us the hostess did it herself. She was great! We ordered small plates and wine and had an amazing time.

We checked the review on Unilocal and found out this 5 stars rating restaurant in Vero. We had reservation and got our seat right away as not much people there around 6:30pm. They had a 3 or 4 courses menu, we didn’t order it, we ordered 3 tapas and 1 entrée. Escargot Sauté was special design, tasted OK. Meatballs was no flavor, no taste at all. Warm Hummas Dip & Crostini tasted normal. The best dish we got was Seafood Paella, all seafoods were pretty fresh with a jumbo scallop, and the sauce was superb. I only gave 3 stars just because my husband and I didn’t feel any special about the foods and the restaurant. However the quality of services was pretty good!

Stopped in tonight for a birthday dinner with my wife. She had the fish, I had the pork ribeye. Both were fantastic! Staff was accommodating and knowledgeable about the menu. We had a few cocktails, an app, 2 entrees and a dessert and were out for nder 100 bucks. Do yourself a favor and stop in! I’m glad we did!

Loved this place. As usual, we sat in the bar. We usually prefer this to tables. Our waitress Katie was excellent! I had the scallops and risotto. My wife had tuna. Both dishes were quite good. Appetizer of mussels in a coconut based broth was really good. Plates come in full and half size, which is nice when not that hungry. Will definitely go again.

A uniquely talented chief in a friendly and relaxed setting. Each dish was prepared to perfection but the daily specials really demonstrated exceptional skill. If you appreciate food that is out of the ordinary then come to Bijou.

Great dinner. My husband had the duck and I had the scallops. Both dishes excellent. Steak tartar app was a little bland but beautifully presented. Good wine list with some reasonably priced selections.

Nice upscale restaurant in an upscale area. This«french» restaurant has a wide variety to choose from and while it was delicious the portions are smaller and the prices are high. Huge wine list if that is you thing. Worth checking out for a fancier dinner.

The best food I have ever had. My husband took me to me to Vero for my birthday. We had been before and eaten another great place. We were disappointed they were closed so we found Bijou, and we quickly forgot all about the disappointment. The service was wonderful and quick! We ordered the mac n cheese app it was great. They had a special fish dinner that come with fried green tomatoe crab stack and white bean mixture. The best fish dinner ever! My husband ordered the braised short rib and loved it. Then came a dessert suggestion the chefs whim dark chocolate sea salt caramel tart… AMAZING!!! Bijou is a must!

My girlfriend is a big fan of French cuisine, so while we were staying at Vero Beach, I booked us a dinner at the only place that served it in town. The menu looked great, but I wasn’t sure what to expect given the price point(much lower than usual for us). I’m happy to say that it is easily one of the best meals I have had, and dollar for dollar the best. We have dined at Michelin star restaurants that didn’t have the complexity and range that Bijou had. Each plate had multiple elements to it that each had its own taste and texture. For example, the escargot was served over a pastry puff with creamed spinach/artichoke dip in a burgundy reduction. Just amazing, and it kept getting better. Seared duck breast, braised short rib, calamari, and crème brûlée with chocolate mousse cake — all delicious. And for such a glorious meal, the bill was only $ 100! I would come back to Vero Beach just to eat here, so if you are lucky enough to be close to it take advantage.

Good food and great service. Also nice unassuming ambience. Worth the trip. Asparagus soup was a special and had a lot of depth. Burger was nicely executed. Bouillabaisse was good but not surprisingly so. Overall very good quality food. Maybe not a top 5 ever meal but satisfying.

First time in Vero visiting friends. They suggested this place for dinner. Let me tell you, this place is amazing. Loved the food and service. We sat at the chefs table and had an amazing time. Friendly staff with amazing food. A place like this one in LA would be hard to afford. For a little more then 100 dollars you will have the best meal in Vero.

Fantastic place for dinner. Had we not known about it it would’ve been very easy to just walk past & not even know it’s there. Do yourself a favor & stop to check this place out. Our waiter Stephen was good fun & brought several wines out for us to try before settling on something. Apps & Dinner were creative and very tasty. The next time we are in Vero we’ll be dining here again.

What a meal! We sat at the open kitchen which is fantastic for those interested in chatting with Chef Chuck(super friendly and informative), but if you’re dining here for a fancy atmosphere then you’d probably prefer the regular dining room. We opted for the tasting menu, and thoroughly enjoyed our appetizers(fried green tomato, tuna wasabi wonton) and were absolutely blown away by the coconut cilantro pumpkin soup with duck and green apple(my boyfriend had the salad and had quite a bit of food envy because I only gave him one spoonful). They had me already at duck, but the combination was just phenomenal. For our mains, we had the bass with beet risotto(pretty tasty), and the chicken. The chicken was the low point of the meal – it was certainly passable but didn’t compare to the outstanding courses we had enjoyed prior. For dessert, we had a PB chocolate cake with strawberry compote and banana mousse, and the carrot cake bread pudding. Both were amazing and we were thoroughly stuffed after these 4 courses and the generous wine pouring. I’m still not quite sure how we ended up getting charged so little for the wine but it appears to have been below bottle price, so that was pretty cool. I did not expect a meal of that quality for the price we paid(final check was below $ 100 for a total of 8 courses and a bottle of wine). For those interested, the tasting menu is 3 courses, app, salad/soup, and main, and runs $ 25-$ 30 depending on your choices. I can’t speak to service in the main dining room but our water glasses were quickly refilled and Chef Chuck happily answered our myriad questions about the menu, his experience, and food in Vero. Tasting menu changes daily and the menu changes approximately monthly, so we’ll have to come back soon!
