Stampede Steakhouse & Saloon

It’s a rare event when the waitress asks «how was your meal?» And I reply «terrible.» As in unbeatable. I went in for a quick lunch ordered the grilled chicken sandwich it looked good but chicken was tasteless and I felt like I had bitten into a knot of cartilage. Waitress was very good and asked if I wanted something else but I had lost my appetite. Even w/​a free voucher for dinner I won’t be returning to the stampede steakhouse.

Good food and waitresses! Surroundings are very rustic. It’s ok for those just getting out of work or taking out a date.

So we just had the absolute worst service that I’ve ever had in any restaurant I’ve ever been to. We decided to go to dinner at Stampede Steakhouse & Saloon​despite it already having a 3 bad — 2 good meals record since the switch over from Joels. What a mistake that was.
First off the salads were tiny and all wilted, but that’s not the issue… Jen’s steak gorgonzola pasta came out with hot steak on top of frigid pasta, like straight out of the fridge pre-​prepared to be nuked. We sent it back, «Oh, no problem, these things happen (when you’re serving shitty nuked food rather than preparing it freshly)… not your fault, waitress person» so it comes back… steak sizzling from being nuked on top of the bowl as it sits, medium meat now well done, pasta… still COLD.
We send it back, I say I’ll just split my food with Jen, the waitress returns with boxes… «Oh I’m so sorry, I boxed it up for you… and I included two free desserts». Great, thanks, nice gesture.
So the bill comes, the pasta is still on the bill. Figuring it was another oversight, I advise her that she forgot to take it off, and here comes the fun .
Her :“Oh, I’m not taking that off”.
Me: «Yes you are, I’m not paying for it…»
I explain why I’m not paying for it, two tries and fails, well done meat etc. etc.
Her: «I can’t take it off, my managers not here»
Me: «Well if you’d like your manager can call me in the morning, I’ll work it out with them and pay the difference»
Her: «You’re not leaving without paying for something»
Me: «Ok, so fix the bill»
Two minutes later she returns with an adjusted bill (real difficult obviously) and snatches the boxes off the table «I’m not giving you the free stuff now.»
Result: $ 0.00 Tip and an assurance that I’ll never set foot in that place again, and let everyone I can know about what a shithole it is.

Here in cold country and With a name like Stampede, you gotta expect a he mans deal of a meal. However, even a petite lass or athlete can adore the Loaded Potato skins, salad or the thinly sliced French Dip.

Over priced. Poor service. Poorly seasoned steaks. No not waste your money.

First impression… hostess just stood there and did not seem inviting at all, she didn’t say a word until I spoke to her. Took forever to order and to get our check, servers were nice, we had 2 for some reason, but they seemed disheveled even though it wasn’t busy. Steaks were overcooked, salad had WAY to much dressing, could not eat it. Potato was good. Pricey for what you get and where you are. Mediocre at best.
