The Purple Goose

I have been shopping here since place opened and I STILL love it! Actually, I love it more because now it mostly carries women’s clothing. It is a cool spot to go for unique items. Halley (the owner) supports local artists and has a great eye for what is up-​and-​coming! If you are in Verona (or within a 40 mile radius, stop by! You’ll be glad you did!!!

Wow! I love this gem. Initially located in only in Verona, WI; now easily accessible to Downtowner’s across from Marigold Kitchen. This store does an amazing job of matching Anthropology’s hippy chic style with more affordable prices and better service. The Purple Goose stocks minimal sizes so you will be a one of a kind. (I love to feel as though I have something special.) I primarily shop the Verona location and always feel welcome. They have fabulous jeans for reasonable prices ($ 75 ish) that do not stretch out. I have worn my jeans 6x without washing and no stretched out butt or falling off my hips. Do yourself favor visit Purple Goose and save a little money before trying out the Hilldale sceen. They also stock fun accessories, bags, jewelry, and baby/children’s clothing.

If you are visiting Verona or downtown Madison, be sure to check out the Purple Goose, a secret gem of a shop. Halley and her colleagues offer individual care and excellent customer service, plus lots of creativity and ideas. As an example, Halley knew I was looking for a dress for a special occasion. She helped me check out several options, and then several days later, emailed me a photo of another dress that came to the shop that I might want to consider. That’s what I call going above and beyond!
The shop is full of hip, reasonably-​priced women’s clothing that you might see in NYC or LA. It’s the perfect place to pick up a gift for a girlfriend, with lots of cool jewelry, handbags and accessories. Much of the jewelry is locally made. Be sure to check out the kid clothing and toys upstairs. My brother and sister in law traveled from Chicago for a visit, and swung by the Goose for a gift for my daughter — they also were very impressed with this fun, hip shop and my daughter loves the wooden toy pizza they gave her. The Purple Goose also is committed to giving back to the community — another great quality.
