Service quick and polite. Food good but not great. Ordered salmon comb, rainbow roll, and ikura. Excellent hot green tea. Soup and salad arrived after the sushi. Rainbow roll was loosely rolled, but still good. Spicy salmon needs a crunchy texture on the outside, not inside. Salmon sushi potions generous and fresh. Salmon roll standard and good. Ikura needed a bit of scallion on top to be perfect. All in all, a pleasant experience but missing the touches that take sushi from good to excellent.

Decent food at reasonable prices– especially for lunch! Service can take a while, but the food tastes good, interior is nicely decorated and the waiters are friendly.

Atami Japanese Grill and Sushi is fast becoming one of my favorite places to eat. I especially love their salmon teriyaki, which is two salmon filets placed on a bed of sautéed onions and teriyaki, served w/rice and a carrot and mint garnish. PUREHEAVEN!!! There is a language barrier w/the waiters, but they are very friendly. You will need your GPS to find this one if you are not familiar w/the city of Vicksburg, as Atami is located in a strip behind Walgreen’s and Chick-Fil-A; but it is well worth the effort IMHO. FIVESTARS!!!

Service was friendly and prompt. Hibachi chicken was great. Huge portion, enough for two. The tuna lover roll was also quite good.

Wonderful new addition to have in Vicksburg. The lunch bento boxes are a great way to go and there are lots of options if you aren’t into raw fish. I really think the service is superior to most places in Vicksburg. Very attentive and on point which can be hard to find here. Ordering for take-out is as enjoyable as eating in and just as good.

The food here is a good value and is well prepared. The wait staff is not great and the language barrier can be challenging. The first time we went we had a hard time getting diet Coke. However, the food more than made up for the ordering challenges. I have ordered several different sushi rolls and soups and not yet been disappointed. The size of the premium rolls are good for the price and the soup portion ate generous.

Went here for late lunch, early dinner, and it was fantastic! Coming from living in a large city, I’ve been missing the atmosphere of a modern restaurant. I got the sushi salmon boat and it was delicious and so much food! Service was also excellent and so fast!

The food is fantastic, the service, not so much. Be prepared for mumbling. The Hibachi steak was good, as was the tempura shrimp, I’d recommend those two. In all honesty you’ll get what, to me, is the same food at the lower price at Japanese Express a few seconds down the road. Overall, give it a go! The only reason it got three stars, is because of the business disingenuous practices on Unilocal, they set up a shill account that only posts information and tips about themselves. It comes off as tacky.

Awesome new place to eat Japanese in Vicksburg. The inside of the store is well decorated. We went on a Friday night and it was busy. The hostess for the restaurant didn’t show up for work so we had to wait in line for a little while in order to get a seat. Once we were seated we didn’t have to wait long for the waiter to take our order. We order sushi and from the main menu. Both orders came out fairly quick. The sushi was very delicious and is the best in Vicksburg. The reason I gave it four starts is just due the wait for us to get a table.
