Homewood Suites by Hilton Rochester – Victor

In route to Syracuse, stopped here for a night stay. The check-​in and check-​out process was very simple. The room was large, two queen beds, a separate living room and full kitchen with dining table. The room were clean, bed firm and I had a good night sleep for sure.
The breakfast was eggs, sausage, make-​your-​own waffle, and your other items — such as bread, yogurt, etc. The coffee was ok, not the best, just ok.
Staff were friendly and very helpful during our visit. One weird thing… in the rooms, the right side wall outlet did not work… left a phone plugged on the right outlet, but it never charged; but if you charge it on the left outlet, it works… not sure if it was just room or not, but its was indeed a weird setup.

After 2 hours of driving around trying to find a place to stay I finally snagged the last room in the house. It was a nice King Suite that ran me $ 150+tax. The staff was friendly and sympathetic to my exhaustion (made me feel less stressed and I also felt cared about). The room itself was clean (the towels smelled particularly clean) with nice soap, shampoo, and conditioner. There were a few items in there as well (I left untouched) like: coffee, popcorn. The little kitchenette (also unused) was nice and would have worked well if I were in need of a longer-​term stay. The breakfast, however, was kinda blah. The little omelette was overcooked, the sausage was okay. The other food options left a bit to be desired and the coffee wasn’t even drinkable (forcing me to get to another place prior to continuing my New England to Midwest drive). Overall good experience. OH — it’s also nice and easy to get to off the highway, BUT look for little blue signs (like the ones on the highway) to find it tucked back behind some office buildings. Tough find at 2am for sure! They could definitely use a better sign off the road!!!

Home away from home. If you find yourself in the Rochester/​Finger Lakes area this is a great place to stay, especially if it’s going to be a while. The rooms are spacious and clean with great amenities. The rooms are suites so if you are staying a while you get that «home» feeling. They have full size fridge and stove top to make preparing meals easy and cost effective. They even have a Kitchen Sink! They offer free breakfast everyday, dinner Monday– Thursday with beer or wine if you choose. They have a 24 hour fitness center, a nice size pool and hot tub! Wifi is also free and if you need to print anything they a have a 24 hour business center. The staff is exceptionally friendly and make you feel welcome.

My rating is 4+ but not a 5.
I wish the rooms had a small safe so we could stash 2 iPads and my earrings and other high pilfer items. They are not necessarily high value but troublesome losses cause of information on them and sentimental value. The rooms are pleasantly large so space is not an issue. That is -.5.
They serve a full breakfast even on weekends. It is serve yourself style so no special ordering available. We’ve eaten 3 breakfast meals and the meat selection changed each day: bacon, link sausage and pork patties. Bacon day is the best, cooked just right. Scrambled and boiled eggs daily. Some type of potatoes daily (it’s NY after all). Two fresh fruits daily, very good. Three types of coffee (strong, regular & decaf). Enough kid and adult friendly selections to satisfy picky eaters. This is not 5 star eating but very adequate for this type of arrangement. We ate 1 dinner and that was adequate also. There are 2 outdoor grills if you think you can do better plus a 2 burner stove in room. I like the kitchen setup, more than adequate.
The staff was friendly and helpful. At dinner, they kept the free wine and draft beer flowing. That improves almost any meal.
The rooms are very large.
The free WiFi download service is very adequate. To DL the Washington Post, it took 3 times as long. However, I used HBO ToGo with no delay. The TVs have a spare HDMI plug so I could watch my HBO programs on TV using my iPad. No Showtime TV channels. One HBO channel. While trying to watch an NFL game, the station blanked out so often I stopped watching. Glad that was not a game I really wanted to see. That needs some attention.
It’s in a secluded area yet still close to a lot of restaurants, a mall and Wal-​Mart even. You need a car. Public Transportation will not work unless you have lots of time to waste, not impossible but impractical.

This is a great hotel. Staying for a week. Staff has been nothing but helpful and respectful. I don’t have any complaints. We travel quite a bit and Homewood suites fits the bill. Price is good for a suite.

Stayed here for 3 weeks while relocating to the area with our 3 kids, 3 cats and a dog. We has to attached rooms. Always clean, super friendly staff, decent breakfast and surprisingly, pretty decent dinners, too with free wine and beer. How can you beat that?

Great hotel with easy access to the thruway. Room was very clean and I loved that it had a full kitchen (large frig, 2 burner stove, microwave, dishwasher and sink) along with a living room with tv and pull out bed. The king size bed in the bedroom was comfy and pillows were soft down.
Each stay comes with free breakfast which partner reports was ok… powdered eggs and the like. They also have free dinner with beer and wine Monday thru Thursday but we didn’t try that.
Would definitely stay at a homewood suite again.

Clean, well kept hotel. Friendly staff, readily available. Breakfast and dinner in the dining room. Very friendly folks and beer and wine for guests in the evening. Food was pretty good; very good selection and options.
I would stay here on my next trip. Peaceful place to stay withouot a lot of noise from neighbors and very good house keeping services.

Stayed overnight after skiing at Bristol Mountain. Clean and quiet. Great staff.
