The place seems to be popular. It’s a tavern-restaurant that has been here for years. The standard options of america — bar/tavern– restaurant foods. Been here twice and both time had pretty good service. They do have rooms in the back and in the basement for private parties. If you’re going to a gathering in the basement, better parking on the North side(lower) parking lot. It is uncommon to walk in and have the locals stare at you if you are not a local regular(I’m not). Which would be kind of unwelcoming if I did not find it so funny.(Maybe they wondered why I was smirking).

Came here for dinner with a party of four. None of us was very impressed. Everything was very rich or very unhealthy and the atmosphere is lacking. It wasn’t really good or bad, just not special and but good enough for me to return.

We went there for a high school class reunion and it was excellent. The affair was catered in the downstairs room. The buffet was very good. The drink prices were reasonable. The staff was friendly, courteous and always available. Some members of our party needed gluten free food for health reasons and they did not have the type of food options that the rest of us had. They should add gluten free options for breads and desserts. But overall we had a great time.

We went to dinner with family and friends tonight(8⁄6) at Mickey Finn’s. We were seated quickly, the establishment was clean, the service and food were outstanding. Seriously, what else could you ask for… oh yeah… the dinner prices were very reasonable. Special recognition to our server Clare who was attentive, responsive, friendly and flat out fantastic. Some of the dishes we tried included Chicken French, chicken teriyaki, Prime Rib and Meatloaf. Again, all meals were tasty, with fresh ingredients, very flavorful and in decent portions for the adults and even the kids meals too. We all agreed this restaurant is on our list to visit at least a couple times monthly.

Great experience, great service, and the food was very good.(Chicken Victor was fantastic). The interior isn’t much to look at but don’t let that deter you from giving it a try.

We’ve been going to Mickey Finn’s for years and have never had a bad meal. I’m very picky about ordering chicken French, and Mickey Finn’s is among the best I’ve found. I live the Oriental sea same dressing, especially as a dipping sauce for the garlic bread sticks. Also, great burgers. Always good service.

The restaurant is spartan and glaringly bright. Salads are mostly iceberg lettuce and wilted lettuce at that. They are served with a dried out breadstick. I ordered«loaded» potato skins which were dried out and came out with a microscopic bit of cheese, a few bits of bacon and scallions and a watery side of sour cream. It was 8 dollars for four half potato skins. My husband’s steak au poivre was thin and the sauce was soup-like His baked potato tasted like mildew. The service was prompt however it was not enough to make up for the substandard food and high price. We will not be back

I’m just going to be honest, I hated this place. Recently went with a party of seven for dinner on a Sunday night. In case you’re not aware, it’s a sports bar. The bar looked decent with lots of regulars. The dining room, however, is an atrocity. Granted it is really large, the furniture is ugly and dated. The hubs argued that it’s typical sports bar furniture… okay fine, from 1970 maybe. The«Hostess», wearing a dirty Buffalo Bills t-shirt, took us to our table and took our drink orders. This came in the form of going around the entire table firing«WHATDOYOUWANT? WHATDOYOUWANT?» at each of us. My 9 year old was visibly afraid to ask«Well, what do you have?» I ordered water, incidentally. It came in a plastic cup straight out of my aunt’s kitchen with some black things floating around in it. Asked«Peg», our waitress, to please bring a new one. She disappeared for a good while before bringing me a new one. We ordered three appetizers that took half an hour to arrive(our salads were brought out before the appetizers), and at that point I didn’t even want them anymore. Fried calamari in a tasteless coating tossed with chopped up pepperoncini from a jar. W. T. F. The crab-stuffed scallops were actually pretty tasty and the stuffed portobello mushroom wasn’t bad. During the wait time, Peg disappeared entirely or flew by the table saying«those apps are coming right out» every once in a while. The thing that makes me the most mad, is how Peg treated our nine year old. He asked for a BLT with a side of fries, which is CLEARLY on the menu, however, upon ordering, he was given a literal guilt trip by Peg who admonished him several times by saying she would TRY to get him a BLT but the guys in the kitchen«were gonna be really mad at me.» Who cares, lady. If you don’t want to serve a BLT then don’t have it on your crappy menu. Apparently you have no idea who Robert Irvine is, otherwise you would know that if a customer asks for something, YOUGETITFORTHEM. My kid, who is starving after waiting for you to get him a simple salad for a freaking half an hour, doesn’t need to hear how you’re going to get in trouble with Mel in the back. He was actually WORRIED about it. Peg needs to cut the martyr act. He did get his BLT, which was JUST A BLT, you know… it wasn’t anything that anyone should have gotten angry over having to make. I’m irritated all over again writing this. So now I’ll stop. Go to Mickey Finn’s. Or don’t go. I’d go with don’t. P. S. The Caesar Salad was dressed in watery ranch dressing and my lettuce was brown. That is all.

Mickey Finn’s was a nice experience, I went with a party of 15 and for such a large group the staff did a very good job taking care of us. A lot of people ordered the haddock or chicken french, and the lobster macaroni and cheese. They have a really good selection of seafood, chicken and steak dishes. I had the stuffed scallops and they were delicious. They also have a lot of live entertainment.

Reuben’s I can’t say no. I rarely get served open faced, piled tender and thinly sliced corned beef. I couldn’t help myself I re-sandwiched it. Add on a Guiness and I’m tickled. The restaurant was old school, kind of fancied up diner-esque with expected menu options.. Service is quick and friendly.

Service was good. Atmosphere is lacking. The crab cake sandwich was alright but it was on a very boring white roll with only lettuce and sauce.

We had a large family dinner here(15 people). We had just one waitress who was efficient and attentive without seeming rushed or intrusive. The food was very good and served in a timely manner. This is the second time I have been here with a group and I would recommend it to anyone.

I like this place. Bar is in the middle, with the dining area wrapped around 2⁄3 of it. There’s a stage and they do some live music(recently including yours truly.) Comfort food, burgers(very good), etc. Very friendly staff. Carpeted dining area is too bad, but if that’s the only thing to complain about it must be doing okay.
