Great place. It’s a little bit of a dingy place, but they have good food and good prices. The weekly specials are always great and the BBQ is awesome. Friendly, easy going staff.

This places sucks. The service is awful. A table of 3 people and we are an hour into lunch and still have no food. Every table we have around us has complained about their food that something has come out wrong or cold. Regardless if the food is good the service if terrible and if you need lunch in a timely manner this is not the place for you! AWFUL!

There isn’t enough stars for this place. Excellent food, expertly cook. New in town and took a shot and stopped in. Best decision I made all year. Excellent t-bone steak, with grilled vegetables, excellent service, and the price was ridiculously cheap. Will be eating no place else but this place while in town.

Came here with the moms. I was disappointed. The floors were FILTHY — looked like years of grime that had never been adequately scrubbed. Around the counters was worse. I had the hickory swiss burger. I am not a burger aficionado and it failed to meet my admittedly low expectations. The bun was a bizarre type of bread that soaked up the«barbecue sauce» and fell apart immediately(because it was quite dry). The«barbecue sauce» is in quotes because I am not sure that’s what it was. It was an odd magenta color that looked more like watery ketchup with food coloring added to make it more red. The stains it left on the buns were pink. In terms of taste, it was, again, watery ketchup with something added I can’t put my finger on. Weirdly sweet, not tangy at all, maybe a hint of onion flavor, but if someone had given it to me blind, I would never in a million years guess that it was intended to be barbecue sauce. I’ve never made barbecue sauce from scratch and I guarantee with absolute confidence that I could do a better job than that on my first attempt. The swiss cheese was that processed American cheese that they neglect to dye yellow and call«swiss». The lettuce was limp and looked old. The tomato had an odd soapy flavor. I specifically asked for grilled onions because raw onions wreak havoc with my stomach, and these onions looked like someone just whispered«microwave» over the top of them. Even though they were barely cooked, they were not crunchy at all — because they were not fresh. The burger itself clearly isn’t something they want you to eat without all the condiments, lest you realize how mediocre/bad it is. I had taken everything off because I was annoyed at the crappy veggies and disintegrating bun, took a bite, and was transported back to elementary school. It tasted like one of those bulk-packaged cafeteria burgers that looks and tastes gray. My mom’s burger looked a lot better than mine(the mushroom swiss burger) and to their credit, they did use fresh rather than canned mushrooms, but they didn’t look to me like they had really been sauteed. I have no aversion to raw mushrooms, but it’s odd on a mushroom burger. Stepmom had the tri-tip sandwich and she said the steak itself was very good. I however was surprised to see that they served it with a pile of unmelted bagged shredded cheese on top. Really? For God’s sake, at least TRY to melt the cheese. I had some of mom’s fries and they were very good. The only reason for two stars instead of one is that the fries were good, stepmom liked her steak, and none of us has gotten food poisoning. Yet.

I finally made to this resturant! I have to here in victorville and adelanto. As a true food head. I got the sampler. Ham, Tri tip and sausage. Comes with soup or salad. I got the salad. Blue cheese dressing was watery, not very good. The baked potatoe I got as my side was way more warm than the meat and awesome. The Ham, which is my favorite meat was tasty. I kinda wanted the bone in ham meal though. I Loken fat and bones. The sausage was so so so good. The Tri tip was tasty, yet cold and because they don’t cut it fresh for u is was dry, but it did taste good. My favorite part of the whole meal was the chocolate malt I ordered. I always love malts over shakes. They use real malt too. Great resturant, could use a little work, just because I like my food hot, but the flavors are there so they deserve a 5 rating. Plus the malt sealed the deal.

Poor food quality. No taste. Even my 11 year old daughter said the garlic bread had no taste.

The food was fine, unfortunately for Veterans and current military service they fail to offer a discount for your service. So for this establishment to use«Real American» Diner is quite sad to say to our Veterans. I also reached out to them to see if they would donate to a Veteran Organization by means of gift certificates for a fundraiser and was turned down.

Good classic style diner, not familiar with the area, but was pleased with my food! Enchiladas were a tad spicy for my liking but the Menudo and carrot cake was great,

I“m going to go with 3.75 stars here… why? Because this place has some smoked meats to go with the standard diner fare. It smelled great in the parking lot. Its definitely a diner, with diner booths, tables, and chairs. A diner counter. Waitresses dressed in diner uniforms. I ordered the Original breakfast which comes with eggs, hashed browns, toast, and your choice of meats… from bacon, ham, sausage, or steak… to smoked tri-tip or smoked sausage. I went with the tri tip and I got 4 good sized thick slices… and it was delicious. Good smoky flavor, and moist. What a treat!!! Waitress service was excellent. As I got ready to leave she came out with a new cup of ice tea in a to go container… not even asked for! That’s great service right there. Everyone seemed very friendly, lots of smiles… I like this place. I might just stop here everytime I travel to LA, which isn’t often but I do have to go pick up a tank next week so I look forward to another good breakfast.

Breakfast was great. I had the breakfast Sampler, which had many smoked meats that tasted good. I give this place a 5 star all the away around. Good vibe, nice décor, and good service. Food was on point too. Thank you Richie for bringing back 50’s.

Your experience greatly depends on which waiter/waitress you get. The food itself is yummy. Very classic flavors and at a great price. You can also feel free and comfortable to customize your meal to anyway you would like.(Ex: I usually get 2 egg whites for breakfast with dry white toast. This is not on the menu but they’re polite enough to make me my desired platter). The atmosphere is your average diner aesthetic. From the wiped clean counter tops, to the scurrying busboys. With that said, there are waiters/waitresses that will bring you wrong orders then proceed to neglect your table for the rest of your stay. You are then left to flag them down whenever you can. Which is why I gave this diner 3⁄5 stars, because this letdown service has happened to me way too often, so I stopped going :/ Overall, would I recommend? Sure, its the classic diner if you want a cheap breakfast. But go in with a good attitude, or else you will have no patience for the waitresses and waiters.

Great atmosphere and great food! The service was great, and the food was delicious! I ordered the bacon cheeseburger(no onion), with fries and a drink. The bacon was crispy but not burnt, lettuce was moist, and buns were perfectly toasted. Large portions! My mom got the special and it was also perfect! She got soup, mashed potatoes, roast pork loin, and vegetables for $ 5.99! Prices were awesome, quite a deal, especially with the service and quantity of food! For my parents and myself, $ 34! If I come through here again, I will certainly stop by again!

Richies has a huge menu of barbecue items as well as other Artery exploding dishes. If you’re wanting to roll your sleeves up and Diggin this is a pretty good place for that. However I have only one complaint, the vegetables are not fresh and seem to be from the frozen origin. You know, you could tell that they’ve been sitting in a large pot in the back for a while.

15 bucks for aT bone. I have had better yes but not for 15 bucks. Great place to eat and stay on a budget. On my visit service was great food was good. I will say this they need to work on the hamburger. Wife got that and no big deal. Use fresh ingriedience upgrade the bun. Buy fresh meat and hand press. Her hamburger was just like everyone and that by itself would be no reason to go back for the burger. But like my 5 stars not bad considering the price.

Tried this place for the first time. It’s quaint, they have ton of options for whatever you are in the mood for, and reasonable prices. I had the buttermilk chicken dinner it was fantastic, tender and great! Will come back to try other things!

My family comes here plenty of times because my husband loves the ribs and steak. I like it but personally its mediocre food and I’ve had better and we decided to go on a weds because my son ate free and well that experience was kind of bad for me. I ordered the chicken Caesar salad since I was craving it and when it came out and the portion types were huge I was excited. Now I’m not picky with salad dressings but Caesar is my favorite and I’ve always had Caesar salad with dressing that tasted perfect and not too bold or salty. This«Caesar» dressing was the total opposite. The dressing was either a mock or a sad attempt to making one because it was so salty it was inedible. I ate the salad around the dressing because it was that bad. Even my husband was surprised at how salty it tasted. And to top it off, I think they don’t clean the grill when they make the grilled chicken because it tasted fishy. I thought it was fish at first but my husband assured me It was chicken. And lastly, I felt like they gave me cheese that was in there for a while. As a cheese lover I know when cheese is good and when it’s either about to be moldy or is. This cheese tasted like I ate a piece of mold. So overall I ate just the lettuce around the plate. Overall, the ambiance is cute, the waiters are friendly, they come check on you and give you refills but I’m not going to give them one star for having one bad food experience. The people have been genuinely nice and the place is always clean. Ill just probably opt out on salad on my next visit.

My friends and I were glad we followed the advice of the positive Unilocal reviews and stopped here for lunch on our way to Zion NP. We arrived on a Sunday just before noon. The place was packed with people waiting for a table when we finished. We were seated immediately and given pages of menu. I love places that serve whatever meal you are in the mood for no matter the time of day. Do I feel like breakfast, their half sandwich and soup special, or no wait, cheese enchiladas? My cheese enchilada was flavorful, hot and cheesy. Hubby liked his ham and bean soup, and half blt. Ditto that for our friends that were mirror images of our order. Good fresh brewed iced tea, fun 50s music playing, clean bathrooms. Our server was friendly and professional, and kept the pace going, including table cleanoff at the end. Even asked if we wanted separate checks per couple. This place is now a regular stop for us as we head to and from Vegas and or Utah.

«Can’t Beat This Deal ! « My wife and I have stopped to eat several times at Richie’s Real American Diner in Victorville, Ca. several times on our way to Las Vegas. But the Deal they have going now is Incredible ! We had a huge Sirloin Steak and Eggs Breakfast with delicious crunchy Hash brown Potatoes and toast for only $ 3.99. That’s right you heard me, for $ 3.99, Incredible ! The steak was perfectly cooked and was so tender, and the 2 eggs were also cooked just right. The large amount of Hash Brown potatoes served with peppers and onions was delicious. Great bargain and definitely worth the stop.
