Sonic Drive-In

Service sucks here. Girl was very rude when I was placing my order and gave me an attitude. They always mix up orders. I can see why they have two stars now.

1 star is even too much. After sitting in line for 20+ minutes, and asking several times if we could order, they ended up being out of all the toppings for a simple sundae. And the manager, Derek, doesn’t give a shit. Avoid!

The worse service ever. The food sucks. And they take for everrrr in the drive thru. My family and I will never be back.:

We recently moved to Victorville from Riverside where they just opened a brand new Sonic. We would always pull into the carport there but here in Victorville we pulled into the drive thru. I’ve always thought the food at Sonic is mediocre, nothing to write home about, so this review isnt really based on the food. I’m giving them four stars because of the great customer service. First off, we pulled into the drive thru at 10:54 PM when they closed at 11:00 PM. I was pleasantly surprised to be greeted right away and told that they would be taking my order in just a moment. In todays day and age of customer service I was pleasantly surprised that the lights were even still on and they were still taking orders. They even helped another car that pulled in behind me. We paid and got our food within minutes. I noticed they were still making shakes which was also impressive. Most places stop their ice cream and shake machines way too early! My food was still hot by the time we got home and again, your typical Sonic quality and taste but we were happy. I’ve read alot of reviews about their poor customer service and felt i should share my positive experience.

This place is the worst fast food restaurant I have ever been too. I normally don’t write reviews, but after waiting 40 mins for 1 chicken sandwich they forgot to bring us and we just drove off and left. Also, their fries were horrible like they we left out for days and then served them to us. Do not eat here!

IMPROVING
I’ve been here about four times over the past year. Each time we waited nearly an hour for cold food, but really delicious drinks.
Today (⁸⁄₃₀) we came on our way north and stopped for lunch around noon. Our food came to the carport in less than fifteen minutes. Our carhop, Katie, was very respectful and friendly. She took care of our order quickly and even took a second trip to grab us some ranch. I would return because of her. The food was delicious, hot, and the entire order was correct.
Stars were knocked off because the bathroom was in really horrid shape. It needs a lot of TLC before I will head in there again. That being said, they are a step up from their condition in the past.

After 3 very disappointing experiences, my family and I will not be giving Sonic another chance. I had THEE worst chicken sandwich ever on my last visit: Hard, dry, cold meat and a stale bun. Yuck! I really don’t see how Sonic stays in business.
This latest visit consisted of icy, flavorless milkshakes. Do yourself a favor and go straight to In-​N-​Out.

It’s not too often that a business makes me say «F off, I’m done». This Sonic location has done that. The past couple times I ordered food, I just didn’t feel right afterwards. But that’s not what sealed their fate. The previous two times we went just for drinks. Both times the service was extremely slow. And I mean so slow, someone who works next door can’t get a drink order and be back to work in their allotted 30 minute lunch break.
This last time we pushed the button and set the timer. After 20 minutes, they have yet to come on the speaker box and take our order. If they would have taken our order and said be patient, we’re slammed, that’s a different story. But no, they couldn’t even take our order. Now mind you, this was the slow period between 2−3pm. I walked in the door (yep I just walked right in) and asked what the reason was why after 20 minutes they still hadn’t taken our order. The girl looks at me and does that ghetto head bob and says «I’m busy». I walked back outside and left. I had to settle for a slushy from AM/​PM. Even though it’s much farther away, we now go to the Sonic way down on Bear Valley.
Zero Stars. It’s too bad that the fire they had a few months ago didn’t burn this place down. A little house cleaning is definitely in order.

Post Vegas lunch stops usually end up at Sonics when i’m with family. Not like we need any more greasy and oily food but the closest Sonics closeby to home is about 30 miles away and we need our fix!
This trip, we ordered a chicken strip sandwich, large onion rings, large chili cheese tater tots, two coney chili cheese dogs, jr. deluxe cheeseburger and a sausage breakfast burrito — breakfast served all day! The breakfast burrito was larger than anticipated. I should have gotten the jr. breakfast burrito! All meals were decent. I would go for the chili cheese dog if you are a first timer.
Cherry Limeade is by far the best drink ever invented. Half price «happy hour» from 2−5pm for selected drinks (not sure if food is included).
Park your car, push the red button to order, someone will rollerskate on over to deliver food, pay and enjoy! You can either eat in the car or there are a few tables provided outside.
Restroom is absolutely horrendous here. I feel dirty just thinking about it. Only one restroom per gender. It does not get cleaned very often. I would avoid at all cost!

Over twenty minutes and no food. They didn’t have tomatoes and didn’t tell anyone, asked for a hot dog and they keep «forgetting» about it, asked for condiments and got not a damn thing. If you’re the manager and you’re reading this you should get a new job!

It’s 8:10pm and went to Sonics for some desserts. We ordered one banana split to share without whipped cream and added nuts. After waiting 20 minutes in an almost empty lot, we received melted banana split. It also included plenty of whipped cream and NO nuts, even though it was listed in the receipt.
I’m sorely disappointed and can’t say I’ll come back if these are their wait times. I can only imagine that the wait time would be longer if we had ordered hot food.
Get it together Sonics!

I hate the fact that I waited over 30 minutes in the drive thru to find out they were out of all the things I came here for. I asked for a strawberry cheesecake shake (out of cheesecake). I asked for a blue raspberry slushy with nerds (slush machine is broken). I asked for a corn dog (out of corn dog). Seriously! Who the hell is running this restaurant?! What’s the point of having a restaurant if you can’t even provide your customers of items on your menu? I’m sorry Sonics, but I wouldn’t be surprise if your company goes out of business.
On to the food that I had to order because they were out of the other things I wanted. I had the New York dog and the bun was soggy unfortunately. The chili cheese tater tots were packaged very nicely but the chili tasted bitter for some reason. Last but not least I had an Oreo chocolate shake. The shake itself tasted good and it was very thick, which is a plus. But the cup was dirty, there was chocolate and ice cream dripping down the sides.
I feel like Sonics has so much potential considering they have all these specials and deals going on that will attract many customers. But service is just horrible. They are understaffed and management really needs to step up their game. Do you not do inventory? Also, corporate should provide these restaurants with maintenance services, that way they can fix these «broken» machines (only one slush machine in a restaurant?) You guys put so much effort and money in advertising these specialized drinks, but not to be able to provide it for your customers when they want one is really absurd.

Is always super busy here because is right off the freeway but is worth the wait.
Everyone is very friendly. My kids and I come at least 3 times a week because of all the promotions they have. the food is great and very cheap…
I definitely recommend it.

I like the menu, but the service here is terrible. Everytime they either get the order wrong, or make us wait 30+ minutes.
Just recently, they actually got the food out to us within in a few minutes, but they forgot 1 item. She told me it would be right out. 30 minutes later (after I had to get their attention) the item finally came…
Get your act together!!!

Very bad customer service, we ordered a slushie, limeade and a cone and waited for about 25 minutes for them to finally bring it out. I watched them jump around and talk the whole entire time they should have been working.
They were very ghetto and I discourage going to this particular sonic. Go to the Bear Valley location in Apple Valley.

Service was so horrible here I had to call corporate to report them! Tatiana was the worst drive thru attendant I have EVER come across! They got our order wrong TWICE and she was so rude about it we just drove off. Nasty food, Horrible customer service, and a really long wait.

Not the best Sonic location in the world. The kids love the food and I like the slushy and nerds drink. This particular location messed up our order and we did not realize it until we were already almost on the freeway. Oh well, you know what they say. You always get F#%*& in the drive through. Great product and like most fast food joints you need to check the bag before you drive away. FIVE stars and I will call this MY Bad!

DONT EVER EAT HERE. I’m so angry!!! I’m sitting down enjoying my strawberry cream slush and I find all this black junk in my slushie. I have no idea what it is. It was in my slushie and I scooped it up to the side to get a better look. I’m so mad because I’m 9 months pregnant and I’ve had multiple strawberry cream slushies from here. This is the only one I’ve had the lid off of though so who knows what my other cream slushies had in it! UGH! I posted a picture.

I like to take my kids here when we are doing late night running around. My kids like to treat and it helps me keep them from driving mommy crazy in the car.
I normally come here about 8:00 pm on the weekends after I am finished shopping and let my kids pick out a dessert. They have a large selection and the kids love sitting in the car when we order.
They take turns pushing the button. Each time we come a different kid gets to push the button and I even let them use my ATM card to pay. It makes the kids feel grown up and special.
Yes he wait is long, but if you do not want to wait they have a drive thru that is much faster. They has have a window to walk up to. People are always in such a rush these days. What ever happened to slowing down and freakin relaxing.
I guess my advice is if you are starving don’t come here. A lot of teens and young people come here to hang out so they play around in the parking lot and sit in their cars with music playing, It is more of a hang out spot.
