We got a bassinet cake for my baby shower party. The cake looked pretty cute without compromising on the taste. It was very well appreciated by the guests.

I was not impressed with the quality and product this company provides. As a bakery it should provide its top quality freshness that it sadly lacks. Customer service could do better.

I’ve been to this bakery twice. My first trip was several weeks back and while the service was meh the chocolate chip square thing that weighs a pound(no idea what it’s called) was absolutely amazing. I was impressed. My second and sadly final visit to Amphora was today(or rather yesterday since it’s now after midnight). I walk in around 10:30 and there’s one customer at the counter chatting with what appeared to be the manager. No greeting but it’s all good. I’m here for the amazing pastries. I walk up to the glass case and ask the only other girl working, «Is this blueberry, raspberry, strawberry???» Her reply«Ummmm…I don’t know.» She then stepped back and turned away from me to do something on the counter behind her. Did she ask the manager what it was? Nope. So I go to the other case to see what else was there. After deciding on something I waited for one of them to come over so I could point it out. Did either of them come over? Nope. Stood there just looking at them for a good 3 or 4 mins before turning to leave. Not once did the manager even look up and the other girl stayed where she was pretending to be busy. Far too many other choices in the area to put up with a business that can’t get basic customer service right.

8:40 p.m. Monday — 1 person(Just ordering cake) 1. Ambiance: Creamed, creamery, buttery, butter, creamery buttery goodness? Your keen sense of smell will be activated full throttle the minute you walk through the door and you can’t help but to go straight through the display glass to see what cake to order. Moreover, this bakery has a few chairs and tables for customers to utilize. The lights are dim lit here creating a soft environment. They also have cute bakery decorations of model cakes and cupcakes surrounding the interior.(A tease!) 2. Food: If you’re interested in ordering cakes, they have a wide varieties to choose from. I needed a delectable cake pronto for a coworker. It was close to closing time and there were only a few left to be selected. I picked the German Chocolate Cake and my team was absolutely loving every piece of it. It was rich, creamy, and deliciously filled with caramel coconut almond. It wasn’t overly sweet, which is preferable since we’re all a health nut at my work place. 3. Service: Gabriela Carrillo was wonderful! She helped create a word display of «We will miss you Kate! :)» and made it possible to fit on top of the cake. It was truly close to closing when I finally decided on a good cake that I think the coworkers will enjoy. She was patient, helpful, answered all my questions, and was so nice. Thank you again Gabriela! 4. Costs: The cakes here are decently priced as all other bakeries in the area. You’re going to look at spending from $ 20 — $ 30 for each cake. It’s worth it as the cakes here are so tasty. 5. Overall Experience: I had a great experience at Amphora and have told other coworkers about this bakery. I look forward to coming back and ordering more cakes in the future. Side Notes: They also have more than just cakes, but I was on a mission. Moreover, they also sell candles here, if needed for a birthday celebration. Also, the location is on the side of the building, just an FYI. They also have a rewards program. Every dollar spent is one point. Once you get to 500 points, you earn $ 50 in rewards cash. Cha ching for that sweet thing!(Disclosure: Picture of the cake was taken from their website not for profitable means, but as a display of the cake as mentioned in this review to show other reviewers/viewers.)

What can i say. I ordered and Amphora delivered. I had to have a cake made for my parents 50th wedding anniversary. Being that i lived out of state Finding a bakery to fit my needs wasn’t easy. From all the previous reviews i found on Unilocal i went with Amphora. Everyone there was extremely pleasant to work with and they went beyond expectations. I had them make an extremely detailed cake and told them to use their expertise in the baking world to run wild. We had a photo from my parents wedding day made in an edible photo on the cake and it blew my parents mind. It was beautiful and tasted great as well. We had a tight time constraint and they pulled it off. 5 stars from me! they were excellent to work with and made it really simple as far as ordering goes.
