Excellent traditional Greek food. As a certified foodie, I have to say this place is a gem. Maybe not so cheap, but hey it’s Tysons. You can’t beat the food or the drinks. They don’t skimp on the alcohol. If I’m going to pay for it, it want it. Great place!

Wonderful Greek seafood dishes, really enjoyed the dinner here. As everyone says, grilled octopus and Branzino are so delicious. We will return here definitely!

My friend says this is her«go to» restaurant in her town. It is a lot of little rooms which was lovely. We came on a Saturday night and I will say it was an «older» crowd. We had the flaming cheese(YUM) and 3 of us split the Lamb shoulder(special) and the swordfish. Both were quite tasty is not super inventive. I had a sandwich with the lamb the next day — with the rest of our tables bread, and I can say it really hit the spot! Service was charming.

Really exceptional high-end Greek food. The branzino, fried zucchini, and lamb shanks were all must try’s. You can’t go wrong with the dips either.

Amazing authentic Greek food. Maybe my favourite one! Very elegant atmosphere and decoration! Amazing flavors, I strongly recommend and I don’t need to go on and on with time wasting details. I saw some people complaining about the service which I find funny. service is nice not amazing, there is not a red carpet there for you! Lol food is what it matters and it is just exceptional! Lastly, to mention that menu has everything, fish red meet pasta soups etc etc enjoy!

The food here is consistently delicious. Each of the three times I’ve dined here, I have split several small plates and some entrees and everything has been great. Suffice it to say, I have tried at least half the menu at this point. The avegomolo soup is awesome, as are the trio of dips, especially the tyrokafteri(spicy feta). The shrimp saganaki and swordfish skewers were excellent, as were the chicken and lamb kebobs. The zucchini(KOLOKITHAKIA) had good flavor and the octopus was super tender. Before I list of all the menu items — take my word for it and dine here! It won’t disappoint. Service has always been good, no complaints, and chic décor gives the place a good vibe.

Food was great. But the service is horrific. Arrived 15 minutes early as our party was told that would be ok to be seated early. Sat at the bar to get a drink and was ignored. In the end was seated at exactly the reservation time. Kept feeling rushed by the waiter. Didn’t bring us an appetizer we ordered and then tried to bill us for it. Waiter was no where to be found. Main courses took 45 minutes to come out. Ordered wine and brought us a dirty glass. Complained about it and then they came back with the same glass to pour more wine! This was one of the managers! Go if you want to feel like your really in Greece.

Wow I really liked Nostos. The restaurant itself isn’t my favorite(white tablecloth, small dining room, tables close together), but the food was amazing. I can’t wait to come back and try more. The bread to start was good, fluffy, good crust, served with a yogurt dill spread. Yum. The tyrokafteri was good, although could be spicier(but I like tyrokafteri HOT). The pita served with it was also good, no complaints there. For my meal, I went with the saganaki and swordfish skewers. The saganaki was delicious, classic delicious melty cheese flamed tableside and sprinkled with fresh lemon. So good. The skewers as well blew me away, perfectly cooked, so juicy, good portion, and seasoned minimally(lemon, olive oil, salt, pepper). Lunch time was busy, but there were constantly people filling water which was nice. No room for dessert, maybe next time. I wish this place was somewhere other than Tysons, but I’ll live.

I’m giving Nostos a 4.5÷5, but I’ll round up since I’m feeling generous lol. I went there yesterday on a date(for Valentine’s day) and was more than pleasantly surprised. My date planned everything and I had never heard of Nostos, but I’m always open to Mediterranean flavors. They had two prix fixe menus last night(each was four courses), one for $ 60 pp and one for $ 75 pp. Long story short: the food was great from appetizer to desert, and the service was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Everything our server suggested was delicious, and the four course menu gave us a chance to try a bunch of different things that we wouldn’t usually order. The only things holding me back from giving it a solid 5⁄5 are the fact that it was pretty cold and drafty in the restaurant, and towards the end of our dinner the server became difficult to find. I’l definitely be going back if I’m near Tysons!

This is my favorite Greek/Mediterranean restaurant in the DC/NOVA area. Service is great, food is amazing. A great location across from busy Tysons mall. As many people have mentioned, the grilled octopus is amazing! I’ve also tried the crispy zucchini, Chilean black bass fillet, grilled lamb chops, and steamed mussels. Everything was delicious. If you are a fan of Greek/Mediterranean cuisine, this is a must-try. They receive a rare 5-stars from me.

My fiancé and I dined at Nostos for lunch a few weeks ago and loved it! It’s likely the best Greek food I’ve had on the East Coast. The meals are thoughtfully prepared and they have some great options on the menu. We ordered the following: –Htapodi(Grilled Octopus). This was fantastic and my fiancé and I shared it between the two of us. So tenderly cooked and such a great portion. –Kotopoulo Sandwich(grilled chicken breast, tomatoes, onions, and tzatziki). This was delicious and came with a pita bread with roast potatoes and salad. So filling and hearty. –Bifteki Sandwich(lamb and beef greek style burger, tyrokafteri, tomato, and onions). My fiancé ordered this and really liked it. It also came with pita bread and roast potatoes and salad. Service was excellent and the atmosphere is classy and welcoming. I definitely recommend Nostos and would definitely return in the future.

Can’t even believe I found this place tucked away in a shopping/business center nook, but SO glad I did. The waiter was a little stiff at first, but after some prodding, he loosened up and laughed with us and it was a great night. I would totally come back, probably for a cute date night… it’s a very cozy, holiday-perfect spot. We got the flaming cheese and the 3-dip appetizer, with the lemony fish mousse totally stealing the show, unexpectedly – so salty and creamy! For the second course, we got the mussels, which were pretty good – nothing to complain about certainly – but not too distinctive other than the feta cheese that was deliciously thrown in. We also got the lamb balls, which were incredible, and the accompanying tzatziki was to die for. I wanted more lamb just to eat the tzatziki! The last item we got in this course was the fried cod bites with beet sauce, which were INCREDIBLE and so artsy-beautiful to look at as well. We wrapped it up with a semolina custard dessert, which was light, airy, and perfectly not-too-sweet…although I probably would have been happy with any of the desserts!

I work in the same building complex as Nostos and have to say I’m a huge fan. Our office eats lunch here at least once a week either sit down or carry out. Their bartenders are well versed in Greek cuisine and can always suggest a good wine pairing. The restaurants décor is very Mediterranean and clean. Their lunch salads are so good, They are so good that they sell out of the more popular ones all the time! They have an option to get salads with added proteins and recently did away with the roasted lamb as a option which upset me, but perhaps I’m the only ordered it. The one thing that has disappointed me once or twice is I love octopus, but hae gotten some really chewy pieces here or there at Nostos; which is really disappointing when you’re spending 30+$ on lunch. Otherwise their food has always been really good, and I will obviously be returning.

700th review! And Nostos, that’s for you!!! I came by myself for a late lunch during a weekday and got seated at the bar. After perusing through the menu and reading several Unilocal reviews, with a lot of hesitation I ordered the much raved about grilled octopus. I eat octopus, but usually that’s not my first choice. And between lamb and octopus, my choice is always always always lamb. But after reading all the rave reviews about their grilled octopus, I got tempted to give it a shot and ordered it. Waited for a while and then came a nice plate of octopus on a bed of arugula, a slice of lemon and a side of something(don’t know what it is) on the side. I squeezed a lot of lemon on the octopus, sliced a small bit and put it inside my mouth. Ahhhhh… myyyyyyy goooooooddddd… What on earth was that?! It was delicious; oh wait, delicious is an understatement. It was perfectly cooked and the sides were a flawless compliment to the octopus. LOVED it. Absolutely LOVED it. And then of course, I couldn’t leave a Greek restaurant without lamb. That’s not fair, and not acceptable. So, there we go, I get an appetizer portion of lamb chops — two lamb chops with asparagus and potatoes. Within a few min, a nice plate of lamb chops was served. From the looks of it, I knew this was going to be one of the best lamb chops! And it was indeed!!! Perfect spiced and cooked to perfection. I could go on and on about the lamb chops. The folks sitting next to me were literally trying everything on the menu to select items for a party. The owner came to me with a plate of free dessert(baklava and another one) and said«I can’t let you leave without these dessert, when people sitting right next to you are trying so many different desserts» Wahoooo!!! There we go! That’s a 5 star in my opinion. Food — 5 stars Ambience — 5 stars Service — 5 stars

Went here for a private event, the wait service was very nice and accommodating, definitely a good spot for business events, they give you a separate room. I had the salmon, and it was delicious, cooked well and had a generous portion. The appetizers were all very good, the highlights being the many plates with grilled and fresh vegetables. The ambiance is really nice, white table cloth-type place, so roll up in your Sunday best. Would recommend for a nice business dinner or to try and impress someone with how fancy you claim to be.

Nostos was delicious! Came here on a Friday– A reservation for to was much needed as this place gets busy on the weekends. We had a little trouble finding this place as its tucked into the shopping center. Don’t despair, the search is well worth it. We ordered the octopus with Fava beans, sea bass and the leg of lamb The octopus was perfectly cooked and the Fava bean purred which accompanied it was well seasoned. And ideal for the bread basket :) this dish was well sized, especially for an appetizer portion. The sea bass must have been cooked in a stick of butter(which is a good thing) it was fluffy, fell apart and too was perfectly cooked. The skin was left on, we’ll salted and cooked till crispy. The leg of lamb was our least favorite dish, though it too was very good. Service was nice and the atmosphere is pleasant.

Came here on a Thursday night with girlfriends. We didn’t have a reservation but was seated immediately at the bar table. Our server Evan was great. He’s attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make us comfortable. We had the meat sampler(lamb chop, meatball, and chicken skewer), arnaki fournou(lamb legs and potatoes), and kakavia(tomato-based seafood stew). I didn’t like the meatball — it was too mushy, although the taste was pretty good. I loved the chicken skewer and would definitely order that again next time. Lamb chop was also pretty good — it was flavorful and juicy. However, the lamb chop was kind of too salty. I would give it another try next time… and maybe leave off the lemon. My friends loved the kakavia. She couldn’t stop drinking that tomato-based soup! lol The lamb leg(boneless) was pretty good. The potatoes are also pretty good, but my friends thought that they were too salty. I also asked the bartender to just make me a drink that’s peachy and sweet. Whatever I got… it was great! I think them being able to make something tastey with my request on a whim speaks quality. I think the food is between average to slightly above average, but the service and atmosphere were excellent. I’ll probably be back.
