Wendy’s

I work next door so I’m
Always at this Wendy’s. the staff is usually so nice. But tonight for dinner was the opposite. I ordered a double stack cheese only and he tried to ring me in for a double cheeseburger I corrected him said i wanted the double stack, he asked me what is that? Is that a burger? Anyways long story short he finally read my order correctly back to me, plain cheese double stack, 4 PC chicken nuggets with ranch. When I got to the window he didn’t say one word to me just took my money and handed me the bag, I said thank you and he shut the window. I ended up getting a double stack with everything on it and no ranch. :(

They are very consistent at screwing up my orders. Yesterday I ordered a Spicy Chicken meal with a Coke. I saw them type Coke. I got home expecting a cold, delicious, icy gulp of Coke, only to find it was diet and tasted like sad. Tonight I got hungry late and went back thinking maybe they’d get it right this time. Well, my order was correct, but the fries were old and hard, and now my mouth is bleeding from an extra sharp one. I won’t be back to this Wendy’s. If you’re hungry late, you’re better off going to the 7 – 11 next to it.

It’s Wendy’s. It’s not Per Se. It’s not the French Laundry. Basically, you want your food relatively quickly, you want the order to be filled correctly, and you don’t want to get food poisoning. Right? So far so good with this Wendy’s.

Saw an ad last nite for $.99 spicy chicken nuggets, and also $.99 for a frosty
Went out of my way to hit this wendy’s and they’re NOT honoring either promotion!!!
I took my business a few doors down to Skorpio’s a venerable Vienna institution.

Wendy’s has never been a favorite and this one is no different. Food and service are decent but nothing exciting. Came here because I could get a side salad instead of fries and didn’t feel like driving to SUBWAY. Grilled chicken is better than I thought it would be.

Requisite activities on a trip out to the ‘burbs include patronizing various fast food restaurants, since I do my best to avoid them in The City for I believe the following to be factual:
«Fast food in the ‘burbs taste better»
For the following reasons:
— There are just way too many food options in the city that tastes better and fresher than fast food
— In the ‘burbs, fast food joints have to pay more attention to quality control than in the city, due to the following facts:
— In the ‘burbs one has to own a motor vehicle in order to visit fast food «restaurants,» but in the city, most bums only have their two feet as a mode of transportation
— In the ‘burbs, people have real kitchens and mothers stay home to cook for their families
— In the ‘burbs, fast food «restaurants» aren’t public bathrooms
My visit to Wendy’s on Chain Bridge Road (or Maple Ave, if you are trying to be picky) made me question the above facts. The confidence in my understanding of the world is now crumbling.
