Lifesource Blood Services

I have been giving blood regularly for over 15 years and have seen my fair share of mobile drives, donation sites and different agencies. I have to say the staff and location of the Villa park facility is by far the best experience I have ever had. They remember me when I walk in, take wonderful care of you while going through the donation and are friendly to all who come in. In sure there are more convenient locations I could go to now that I have moved and I don’t even bother looking because I know it won’t even come close to the same experience! If you are nervous about donating or are a regular like me, this is the place to go. The team will never fail to take wonderful care of you!

Time to give blood again! This time, i went to the actual location here in Villa Park. The facility was clean and the staff was really friendly. The nurses all joked around with each other and were reassuring and kind to the donors. They stay close by and keep an eye on you to make sure you’re doing okay. One of the donors was having trouble filling the bag, so they went over to him and put the blood pressure thing around his arm to help the blood flow better. It’s really nice that they pay such close attention.
Once you’re done and you feel okay to walk, you go over to the snack area and munch on some stuff and drink some juice until you feel well enough to go. A tip: Lifesource will send you an email close to your appointment date that lets you fill out those long questionares from the comfort of your home. You just have to do it the day of the appointment. It definitely saves time! The only thing I find annoying about Lifesource is that they called on a Friday night to schedule my next appointment. I was getting ready to go out and I tried to think of my schedule in my head before randomly selecting a date. Maybe they’re afraid that no one will donate if they don’t call, but that’s not always true. I will continue to be a regular donor, but I don’t want to be constantly contacted about it. Otherwise, Lifesource is a good place to do a good thing. Donate!

This location has been shut down so go to the best location in Glen Ellyn, IL. It is right near Outback steakhouse in a strip mall.
The people at this location are what makes this place. I do like to donate blood/​blood products and all blood banks want yours.
These people go beyond this calling and do a great job keeping you comfortable and getting the job done effectively.
I have over 77 units of blood donated and I think many more people should donate their time and blood now. You just never know when you or family might need it.
And remember FREE juice and snacks for all !
