Laughing Bear

Love the bear. Beautiful prints in happy colors. One of my best dresses from this store my friends have nicknamed «The Paradise dress» because of the tropical retro forties print and contrasting ruffled skirt. Fun, flirty, and just the right touch of island for Vineyard events.
My favorite purchase is a circular full length black heavy rayon skirt from Morrocco with a matching top that has drop sleeves. The skirt has buttons so you can hitch up one side to show a bit of leg if you are so inclined. Then there is the red rayon dress with bright fruit print that lifts my spirits whenever I ransack my closet.
A stunning scarf/​stole also made its way into my closet, the buffy beige color and gold embroidered edge make it dressy enough for evening. Laughing Bear has the best clothes and gets the last laugh for good prices and friendly salespeople.

What a charming store!!! For years, this beautiful, über-​feminine store has provided something to Martha’s Vineyard that the island is otherwise mostly lacking: dressy, reasonably priced, modern-​styled clothing and lovely non-​frumpy costume jewelry. The women who work here are friendly, helpful, and always happy to chat!
They carry some PLUS SIZES, which are hard to find on this island, and a lot of their cute styles also run a little on the larger side, which is nice for those of us who are in the in-​between XL and plus-​sizes on top.
This is one of the few stores I always make a point to visit while on MV!

Super cute clothes, jewelry and accessories. Funky, flowy clothes. And actually reasonable priced. I’ve run in here when I’ve needed to find something nice, fast – always find something! Large section of cute batik’d baby t-​shirts too.
