Great time! We’ve tried several sailing charters on MVY for full day cruises and this was our favorite so far. Capt. Lynn is great — very knowledgable about sailing of course, but also the Vineyard, marine life(we spotted a large fish on our way to Tarpaulin Cove and she explained it was an Ocean Sunfish — google it to see one — they are quite unique and it was great that she knew what it was!), etc. Her boat Ena is a classic wood sloop — a wonderful vessel with character and warmth. Highly recommended! Details: We did a full day sail — leaving at 10:00am from the dock in Tashmoo and going across the channel for a picnic in Tarpaulin Cove on Nashaun Island. Got back a bit later than the scheduled 4:00pm because there was heavy headwind and tidal current on the way out. It was three adults and two young kids(ages 5 and 7). Everyone had a good time — the kids enjoyed sitting up front and getting splashed occasionally, adults were in the back chatting with Ena(except for one who was working on her computer down in the cabin — pretty good cell reception the whole way, incidentally.) We did have dramamine with us for sea sickness — intended for the kids but they ended up not needing it — recommended to always bring though just in case.

We had an amazing sunset sail with Lynn on the Ena. A true highlight of our time on Martha’s Vinyard.

Definitely a highlight of our trip to Martha’s Vineyard. Lynn was very knowledgable of the island and it was comforting to have a seasoned sailor at the helm. I highly recommend chartering the Ena. Oh, and my sister’s name is Ena too!
