Everytime we go on long trips on the toll road we stop at this McDonald’s. No matter how empty the store is it is very hard to find a cleaned off table on the McDonald’s side. I Leah’s get chicken nuggets and for some reason today the nuggets were almost half the size as normal. They were thin and pathetic.

So I ordered a mcrib with no onions, and cheese sticks. I paid their crappy price and then ate the crappiest cheese sticks ever. Seriously tasted like fake cheese and wasn’t cooked all the way through. Then the mcrib had 20 bucks worth of barbecue sauce and 30 bucks worth of onions. Wtf McDonald’s.

Very clean, the staff was very friendly. Great stop if you’re traveling Route 66. There’s a gift shop inside as well.

Re open for business and they now have a subway sandwich shop plus a gas station that has anything and everything you could want. The place is beautiful and the only free place to pull off 44 for 100+miles

The remodel probably isn’t done yet and when it gets done it might be nice. Maybe the evening I visited was a bad day. The McDonalds was understaffed and several key machines were broken. The staff wasn’t helpful and one of the drink machines was offline. The food was nominally McDonalds food(which is saying something.) Perhaps they are having start up problems. After several months of a tear down remodel the facility is open again. The downstairs, on either side of I-44, are a basic convenience store. Then, upstairs, there is an open area with two fast food areas(McDonalds and Subway) along with a Will Rogers tourist shop. Bathrooms are on the wings(though only one was operating that night.) The men’s room, though new, was in terrible condition with both toilets not having been cleaned for several hours. Overall the facility has the warmth of a DC Metro station. The lighting is pretty bad and the new aesthetic isn’t complete. Surely this isn’t the final product. I’ll look forward to checking it out down the road but it’s kind of hard up right now.

The place is a filthy dump. The glass is dirty with so many dead bugs and birds flying around in the place it is unhealthy(I am not and expert of course). They are taking advantage of a «captive audience», mercy sakes alive. I first ate there in 1957 or 1958, when I was a kid. fantastic, I still remember the cloth napkins, real silverware & everyone dressed up, such great food. The entire upper floor was one open seating area, very spacious. Our family ate there, sat next to the windows and watched the cars go under the restaurant. Really cool. My grandmother from Vinita worked there as a cook. So I know the food was good! Not so any longer, forget the old times, look around at the cockroaches, nasty toilets and tore up stuff every where. I was amazed at the«art» and the majic marker signage in the place. Go there if you like… it is just not what it used to be 50 years ago. The largest McDonald’s? I doubt it. There are 3 – 4 other vendors if you will in the building along with divided up space, closed off areas, dark corners, etc… The McDonald’s part is not big at all and is not fast. The crappiest McDonald’s i have ever been to. Go figure…

I was here in 1992 and I don’t think anything has changed since then. They need to bulldoze this place and start over. When I was there in 92, it was America’s biggest McDonalds or something like that. Now it is America’s saddest McDonalds.

wtf jeff… you’re giving mcdonalds a 4 stars??? WHY!!! well, sit down and let me tell you why. this micky’s D is apparently the largest one in the whole world! yes. it beats the ones in china and russia! this mcdonalds seats about 400 people, but its the largest in terms of square ft. 29,135 sq ft!!! just that fact alone is enough to give it 4 stars. it also overlooks the FWY. how cool is it to eat food and watch semi-trucks drive under you? well, lets move onto the food now. it was just meh at best. i believe this MCD is more expensive than other ones around the USA. and i would know that because i’m a MCD connoisseur. i ended up getting the mcrib and all its bbq sauce goodness. its good to have the elusive mcrib in my mouth again. their drinks machine has some funky tasting water… unless all water in OK taste like poison??? lol. the heating and AC unit in this building has a mind of its own. its either too hot or too cold in different areas of the place. They were telling us that they are going to tear down the MCD and rebuild it to give it a more modern look with a working AC/Heating unit. PS: there’s a phillip’s gas station right next door. so fill your tummy up, and then your car.

I remember stopping by here for the first time 10 years ago and being disappointed, so I don’t even know how to describe my feelings from this time. The place is a dump and needs to be razed and rebuilt. The whole building is dirty, especially the restrooms. I didn’t get any food and didn’t want to based on the looks of the rest of the facility. Please, Oklahoma Turnpike folks, tear this dump down and put up a modern facility.

I want everyone that is looking for a place to stop in route to Joplin or Tulsa to keep on driving! The entire place is a Dump. The bathrooms are the nastiest I’ve ever been to. Might as well not even wash your hands because the germs will just jump right back on them. Went to get breakfast, the restaurant area is dirty and they take absolutely no pride in cleanliness. Trust me, there was a layer of dirt on the register! Floors were being mopped behind me with dirty water. Floors in the kitchen area were greasy and stained. Went to a Java Daves in a separate area to get coffee. Looked at what she was brewing coffee in… a stained plastic pitcher. Not a carafe, not in an urn but a plastic pitcher! After leaving, I was having second thoughts on actually eating my food. Had ordered the oatmeal and it was dry and sticky. The chicken biscuit was cold. So, after leaving I decided to never step foot in this place until it’s torn down and rebuilt!

Good food and service but A/C was obviously not working well. Fries were fresh and hot, almost as hot as the air.
Inspired by Phillip Johnson’s «The Glass House,» this architectural wonder was one my top 3 favorite buildings during my road trip from Lubbock to Toronto. Having people waving at you while you watched them go underneath the golden arch made my calorie galore Big Mac taste even better. A must see place if ur driving through Oklahoma. 5 full stars for the former largest McDonald’s in the world.

On summer family trips from Illinois to Texas years ago, this was almost always a stop for us. Mostly because of the novelty of it sitting right over the highway. I remember crowds up the butt here!

Holy cow. Man this place brings back memories. Used to stop at this place all the time driving to KC from DFW. Great memories in this place on the Will Rogers Turnpike. We’d always stop here or the Blue Top(see review). This place is well… it’s a McDonalds that spans the highway. Cars drive under you as you eat. Only in America could we need something so useless, yet so cool in the middle of nowhere in Oklahoma? It makes me proud to be an American! And you damn right I have pictures of it!
