After eating here for dinner I went home and felt pretty bad. Suddenly, at 3am I was awoken by some sort of anomaly. I felt a strong disturbance in the force. I ran to the toilet and barely made it in time. Every time I thought I was done, there was more. This is reporting in around hour 20 of my ordeal and things are leveling out. I feel like I was bitten by a snake or swallowed some cleaning agents.

This buffet out of all the Chinese buffets in the 757, this one is pretty decent. I’m by no means pro-buffet or anything. I only come here for family outings. They offer cold and hot crab legs, I like them both. They even have sushi rolls. They refill the food as soon as it runs out.

The food was constantly refilled by staff, so that was a big plus. Also, the restaurant is pretty clean. The food is the same fare you would find at any of the other buffet restaurants in the area, but I was a little disappointed that they did not have green tea. This is a Chinese buffet restaurant. It’s an unspoken rule that there should be green tea! Not that there was anything wrong with my perfectly brewed black tea, mind you. Also, my butter pecan ice cream was hard as a brick. Maybe they should adjust the temp in their ice cream freezer.

It got 2 stars instead of 1 because the service was very good. The food however paled in comparison. The crab legs were soggy & the rest of the buffet tasted as if it was sitting all day. I did enjoy the macaroons so can’t complain about that gluten free dessert. They really need to work on freshness & quality of the food. Also the décor could use an update. Our booth had tape on the ripped seats & it looked old & warn out, awful. Keep up the good service as that was the best thing the place he to offer.

Never.coming.back. Everything tastes like the same sugary greasy sauce. My hubs likes it, but his idea of quality is just quantity. Not to mention how dirty the place is.

After reading some reviews I went ahead and gave this place a try. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. Compared to the other buffets I’ve been too, the food was really great. I guess some people are more picky then others. But for the price, the quality of food and amazing staff, you can’t really beat it. I will definitely be going back.

Pretty good food and cheap price, 7.99 for lunch and 14,99 for dinner, military and senior can get 10% off also. My friend and I went there for lunch and dinner several times since we found this place after we shopping in Kroger. They have lots of choices, which is just amazing. The food is tasty and fresh too. We live nearby but always miss it, but believe me once you found it, you would like to come back. They also have carry out box for the buffet food, if you wanna take out, just take whatever you want and you will pay by weight. Last night We just held a party over there, everyone was happy and we would like to come back again. Btw, their dinner buffet have crab legs and oyster also, my favorite, love it !

Tried this place for the first time with my boyfriend for lunch on a Tuesday. Let’s put it this way; we won’t be breaking our necks to go back. The food just bad. I don’t have the energy to detail everything that was gross. The sushi tasted like it was made at 8 am and was still sitting at 130pm. Good service. The servers were courteous and efficient.

I’m a leg person… As in a crab leg person. And WOW. For $ 16 per adult and $ 4 per child, you can have dinner in the evening with a full buffet of hot or cold crab legs. They are also properly cooked, mind you– not overcooked and sticking to the shell like some of the other buffets in the area. We come here probably once a month, and have yet to be disappointed. The fried plantains are excellent, the salmon was good, especially if you drizzled the melted butter and squeeze lemon on it. The last visit was the first time I had the cajones to try it. The sushi is meh. Sometimes the food sits too long in the buffet and looks crusty and burned, but I guess that is par for the course for buffets. They have the absolute worst napkins on the planet. They will shred and stick to your hands practically the moment you touch them. The service is always very friendly, the waitresses are sweet and usually will stop by to talk to our baby :) The restaurant as a whole looks pretty clean. Overall, it is a better option than most of the other asian buffets locally. The AYCE crab legs alone make it worth the price. I highly recommend it!

Never had an issue here. Probably dined in a total for 3 times but grabbing a buffet Togo has been my go to cheat meal for about a year now ever since Dynasty closed. The house rice is divine. I haven’t really eaten the seafood here but the general taos chicken, sesame chicken, salt n pepper chicken, and spare ribs are my favorites. Definitely worth a try.

Well, I think I outgrew my love for buffets. I’ve finally learned that you can’t just eat like a fat kid all the time. Buffets are far and few between and if I’m going to waste the next 24 hours of my life with a food coma and trips to the bathroom, I need to choose wisely when it come to AYCE. The family wanted to go to Buffet City. It’s still terribly unhealthy and after converting to Whole Foods for my groceries I can taste the different. But when you walk through those doors it’s game over. On this recent visit, I was ecstatic to see raw oysters. I previously wrote about this and totally forgot. I wish I read my review before Sunday’s visit because these oysters were far from good. I regret throwing 10 on my plate to start off my meal. I then went with some crab lags that were surprisingly decent. I was generous with my butter that made my current situation enjoyable(you have to watch out for butter if you nahm sayin’). I pretty much kept things safe for the rest of the meal. The salmon pieces at the sushi sections were okay. Their chicken wings are always a staple in my Chinese buffet visits. I can eat their Chinese donuts and fried bananas for days and days. Even eating to about 80% of my capacity still put me out for the afternoon.

This place defines the one and done. Seemed like all the food had been sitting for a very long time. My wife and daughter got one plate took probably one bite of of each thing they got and was done. I tried the hibachi grill mistake. Worst $ 30 I’ve spent. Service was good

Okay service. Poor quality food. Maybe they didn’t care because it wasn’t the ‘busy’ part of the day, we went around 2 pm. But the food like it sat for too long and there wasn’t much variety compared to other buffets. Not worth it for the price, plus my stomach felt unsettled the whole rest of the day. Probably from all the grease and sugar the added. Bottom line, unless the improve the food, I do not recommend this place. Take your money elsewhere.

horrible. the food had obviously been sitting around for far too long. All the chicken dishes had too much sugar, and the dumblings were terrible. The only dishes I enjoyed was the sushi and the imitation crabmeat with cheese. The desserts were also very bland, probably because they used all the sugar for their orange and General Tso’s chicken. We were really disappointed because we would always see this place when shopping at Krogers and decided to try it. 1⁄10. Would not recommed.

From the moment we walked in, something felt amiss. Once we got to our booth one thing after another was wrong. The booth was completely wet, we went to grab sushi from the sushi bar and noticed that the sushi wasn’t made so great and not very fresh. When we got back to our seats with food, we noticed one of the drinks was leaking. We sampled many of the items, most were mediocre, and a few were torrible(combo of horrible and terrible, its a southern word) and almost inedible. Our waitress was nice, which is the only reason they get a one star at all. Three meals and two drinks were almost $ 55! way more than most other buffets, which are typically $ 10 less and have way better food.

There are lots of choices of seafood and Chinese buffets in Virginia Beach but Buffet City has to be the best, if not in the top 2. Off Holland Road, just a short 20 minutes or so drive from the oceanfront, there is better value, better choices and better atmosphere than anything the oceanfront has to offer. Fresh seafood, fresh sushi, hot hibachi and the crab legs just keep coming! A nice salad bar is also part of the offerings. Tourists, do yourself a favor and come eat at Buffet City!

Definitely worth 3.5 stars… On the night we visited, they had lobster chunks as well as crab legs on the Buffett in addition to the raw oysters, crawfish, and shrimp for $ 13.99. Neither the lobster or the crab legs tasted super fresh, but for $ 13.99AYCE, I’m not complaining. The sushi didn’t look the greatest and I didn’t see anybody at the hibachi grill the entire night, but I was surprised with how clean the restaurant was as well as the large selection of food. Additionally, the buffet runners were very prompt in refilling the food as well so there was never a wait time to get crab legs or lobster chunks. Although it’s not something I’d go out of my way to try, it’s definitely worth a visit if you’re craving Chinese buffet and in the area.

The last time I was here, I was pretty disappointed. Nothing was really good. They didn’t have a big selection. Things were cold. This was like 3 months ago? So, We decided to stop by and give it another go. Plus we didn’t want to drive all the way to Chesapeake to Crazy Buffet. We walked in and were immediately seated. They left the front door open which made the place really cold! BRRR!!! But when I went to the buffet area I noticed that they added on to it! They now have a whole back section. They changed the back area to sushi and placed their soups there(which are in cool heated pots). They had lobster, a never ending supply of crab legs, mussels, oysters, shrimp, seafood medley and so much more! It was really GOOD. They kept bringing out food. Which meant everything was fresh and HOT. The only thing I would say that they need to work on is their desserts! But overall, I liked it.

If you’ve gone to one Chinese buffet you have gone to them all. I’m sorry the food here wasn’t any different than any other buffet I’ve been too. I give it 3 stars because certain dishes stood out. They had a spinach and mozzarella cheese casserole that was really good and had a bigger variety of sushi than most buffets and they had a man cooking hibachi for those that wanted something freshly cooked. The dinner buffet was about the same prices as all the other buffets.
