Came here to hear my favorite funk band — Delirious George — full disclosure my son plays keyboards in the band. Warning, do not come here(at least on band nights) if you don’t like LOUD. We arrived at around 8PM and the music being played was deafening… and that was before the band began. But honestly, that’s the only negative thing I have to say about the place and after all what should one expect these days by a place that hosts live music in the eventing. The draft beer selection was very good. I had a nice local IPA but I couldn’t hear the waitress so I don’t know what it was, sorry. They have a romaine-based house salad, and they had no issues subbing out the romaine for spinach which made for a delicious first course. We ordered the Everything Pizza and it was dense with toppings and cheese, and quite spicy even with the traditional sauce. It was very good, one of the best I have had in a while. Our waitress Taylor was friendly and attentive, and in fact all of the staff was helpful and good-natured. And the band was really great too!

My wife and I went to the new Chicho’s for dinner last night. There were about 7 completely drunk and extremely loud people at the bar. We chose to sit down at the end where it was a little quieter. Our bartender came down and we asked for a drink menu and she said they didn’t have one so we just ordered a couple well drinks. We received our drinks and food menus and then she was gone. We discovered pretty quick that the drunk group obviously knew her because she just stayed down there hanging out with them. After about 10 minutes she asked us if we knew what we wanted to eat and we said yes. She says ok I’ll be right back. She then proceeds to go back down to the drunk group and talk to them and make them drinks. It was over 15 minutes at this point after she said she’d be back to get our order. Ourselves and the drunks were the only people at the bar mind you. She continues to keep making them different shots and laughing and hanging with them. Eventually I flagged down a gentleman whom I thought was the manager and said can we order some food and are you the manager? He said no the bartender is actually one of our managers should I get her? I said are you kidding me? I just asked him at this point to tell her to get our tab. She then came down as if nothing happened and put our tab in front of us and was right back down to her friends. I don’t think we have ever been so disgusted with the operation of a restaurant and she was a manager?! We ended up going to Lucky Oyster next door because we know they are awesome. We just wanted to try something new for a change but shame on us. I will never go back to Chicho’s again and trust me everyone at Lucky Oyster bar including the staff said to stay away from there. So if your looking for good food and drinks stay away from Chicho’s and stay away from the female(manager) bartender with tattoos down her left arm because she is the rudest most immature bar tender I’ve ever met. Chicho’s is pathetic and it’s a shame because we used to go to the oceanfront and Chesapeake location all the time. I will tell everyone I see to stay away from there now. We paid $ 11 for two well drinks and no food and were there for almost 45 minutes. If that place wants to stay in business then I’d say someone needs to go in there and clean house. I shouldn’t even have to give this place one star.

Ordered my pizza, an hour later had to call to see where my pizza was. The gal on the phone put me on hold to talk to the manager, apparently my order wasn’t the only order super late because the manager asked if «so and so» was my order and it wasn’t. I told him my order and he said, «Oh, the driver left 20 minutes ago with it, he should be there in another minute.» At that point you know your pizza is gonna be cold! The manager, obviously an idiot, never offered me a discount or anything free for my trouble or wait time. I guess keeping customers for a new local establishments isn’t important. FINALLY30 minutes later(Not a minute or two) my order finally showed up! So, an hour and a half after I ordered I finally got to eat. The pizza wasn’t cold like I feared but it was lukewarm at best, it definitely wasn’t that first bit of a fresh pizza. Luckily, my piece didn’t have roasted garlic on it, so I asked my roommates if we got roasted garlic on the pizza at all(XL pizza with pepperoni, bacon, and roasted garlic)(I have a broken ankle so I never looked at it they just handed me a plate. Also the reason I’ve been ordering delivery a lot.) my roommate said with a look of disgust on his face, «OH Yeah we did» and he held up a complete clove of garlic he had pulled off his slice of pizza. Apparently when they say roasted garlic they mean complete cloves all over your pizza not chopped up and sprinkled on top like most places. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER again!

Don’t think it will be around for long unfortunately, never busy. The goods: big bar area separate from the family dining area, decent drink specials, Cho’s spicy pizza, good stop on the«Strawbridge crawl», zero danger of being harassed by hot women. The bads: one or two good bartenders but hit or miss service, especially when slow, which means usually. They have a weird DJ some nights playing to an audience usually less than a dozen folks and that’s counting the girls who work there. Overall not a bad place, if you want to avoid big crowds and eat spicy pizza this is the place for you, if you’re there for the bar scene you’ll be underwhelmed.

I had the wings and the loaded fries. Wings were over cooked and really small. Not that great. And the loaded fries were alright. Nothing spectacular.

Good place to come for family night Monday-Wednesday, we have gotten out of here for less than $ 20 before for a family of 4 including 2 beers. Service is touch and go sometimes, but all in all a good value, consistent food. Foosball table for kids to play on while waiting.

This Cho’s was the 2nd Chicho’s in the area when they first started franchising the units out in the late 90’s, and back in those days, this place used to hop. Not like the Atlantic Ave location but definitely better than the dump of a Chicho’s out in Chesapeake. There’s a bar /restaurant on the left side of the unit and a carry out service on the right. My brother was in town over the weekend and we stopped in here around 11pm on Saturday night. We thought it was closed when we pulled up. Deciding to check it out anyway, there was one customer at the bar when we walked in. Every table was empty. What happened here? We sat down, had a few beers and shot the breeze with the manager. Had a great spicy hot pizza, just like the old days, and left at midnight when they closed. I was disappointed that there wasn’t anything going on here, but I suppose the times pass places by. At least the pizza was good and conversation was good.

Let’s just say that I love Chicho’s Pizza. But their other locations are sooooooooooooooooooo much better. I used to work at the Atlantic Ave location about 8 years ago and I lived off of capt morgan and chico’s pizza– for about 6 months. This location used to be ok but has clearly gone down hill over the past several years. This used to be a bar that was close to my house that was one of the local hangouts. They can’t seem to keep their staff– or their customers anymore. Yes they do have great drink and pizza specials every night of the week but everytime I go to this location it’s empty. Recently I went to pick up a togo order. My boyfriend really wanted some pizza on Sunday but wanted to eat it at home. –Mind you that Sunday is their $ 5.99 pizza special(dine in only) but we wanted it togo so we paid $ 36(happily) for two pizza’s togo. When I got there to pick up the pies the bartender asked if I needed a drink or if it was a pickup order– after I said pick up she turned back around and continued writing with out any response. I waited 10 more minutes to pay and get my pies– even though there was only 2 other people in the place. Once I got home and opened my pizza boxes– they were the worst looking pizzas I have ever seen. My pizzas we a strange oval shape, had 2 crusts(they took two small crust and layered them one over the over to make it big enough pizza to put in the box but forgot to roll them together) it was undercooked, and had 3 pepperonis on it. no kidding 3. I laughed at first but when I tried to eat it I couldn’t get it unstuck from the box! I called them right away to see if we could fix this– since I spent $ 36 dollars on 2 $ 5.99 pies– they said they couldn’t do anything but they would have the owner call me back the next day. I have not received a return phone call yet. I do love Chicho’s pizza and love their spicey tomato sauce the best– but it’s worth driving to the oceanfront locations to get the perfect pie
