Food was average. Price was 100 buck for two kids two adults. View was amazing. That’s what you get. Nuff said

A definite must. Went here a few years ago and it seems to have been spruced up. The food was very good. The wings may have been the best ever. Crabcakes were also very nice. Outside bands on patio with the ocean in the background was a plus. Be careful, strong drinks!

This place was great! I had the fish and chips and it was excellent. My husband had the BBQ chicken and shrimp and he enjoyed it. The happy hour specials are great. The live music next door provided a great ambiance. This restaurant is well kept and has clean restrooms. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant.

Fun place, super casual and laid-back. We went in on a cool foggy day at the beach and warmed up with delicious clam chowder and some pretty delicious Bloody Marys. Can’t wait to go back for some more of their local, fresh seafood!

A group of us came to the beach for memorial day weekend. And we ate at Chix twice! Both times the food was delicious. The raw oysters were awesome, the pizzas were unique, and the firecracker tacos were tasty as well. The only bad point was the shrimp po boy… Ridiculously small amount of shrimp. We sent it back! However, the bar has great views of the ocean and a great ambiance!

Love this place! We first ate dinner there back when it was still called Laverne’s. It was Laverne’s on one side and Chix(the bar area), on the other. We have always eaten there in the off season, not in the summer season. The first time we ate there it was Polar Plunge weekend which means the place was packed and busy on both sides, but since that is February, it means they were not adequately staffed. However, their staff did everything they could to make up for it. They won me over with their awesome food. We have dined there several times since and the food always amazes me. Chix is not a upscale place, you will not get upscale service, but do not tell the chef the place isn’t upscale, the food is amazing!

We sat at the bar for 20 minutes waiting for someone to take our drink order. The place smelled terrible, sort of like a beer/urine combo. The floor behind the bar was flooded and would splash as the bartenders walked around. They were in such a cluster they kept bumping into each other and slowing each other down. We left without ordering. The women’s bathroom has two stalls and there was a line out the door.

This place might suck but there is really no way of knowing. I ordered off the happy hour menu and I was VERY pleased. A dozen raw oysters on the half shell for $ 6.50? That can not be beat. They were decent oysters too! Some where a little dry but all had good flavor.

Visited 12÷10÷09 Wings. If delectable wings are what you crave, go here. And no wing experience is complete without a beer served in iced cold mug. Incidentally, an interesting happy hour«buffet» of chips and wings(which I believe were plain) was a nice bonus. I visited Chix twice while in Virginia Beach — sat at a table(in the more relaxed bar area) where the waitress disappeared for nearly the entire time I was there, as well as the bar where I was astonished by the insolent attitude of the female bartender who could not be bothered to provide even the least exceptable level of service. Owners and managers would be wise to swap these snotty servers for a wait staff worthy of working in the service industry.

Boardwalk-side seating… Check… Cold-ass beer… check… Hot bodies roaming around… well… check or not check depending on the moment… this is VaBch ya-know. Nachos… a super big check! Great attention to making sure plenty of stuff on all the chips; not just the top… Steamed shrimp… if they new how long to cook them they would be great as the way they season them is stellar… they were unfortunately tough & small today. Vibe… check… peeps always having a good time
