terrible terrible service our food arrived cold and when we sent it back it took forever to get new food. When we checked out they had the nerve to charge us for the dish we had them take back because it was cold, when we asked about this dual charge they said they sorry we will take it off OK we pay and leave. Check our account and guess what yeah they put the dual charge back on really!!! Never again

Such a fun place! Drinks are a little weak in my opinion, and the food was average. I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak and the meat was dry. The fries were cold, too. The nacho appetizer were tasty! I’d order them again, but I would ask for extra beef. The place was clean and it’s a good atmosphere. I’d definitely be back to play, but not to have dinner.

Molly is awesome. She really went out of her way to be a great waitress and a gray person. Find her at the bar. She is so great!

Super Overpriced! After Just 2 separate visits and this review, I don’t plan on returning anytime in the future. As there has been too many times were the service was just GARBAGE, so much so that on both occasions I waited well over 20 minutes before I even seen the server at the table and the bar. Needless to say my super low tip reflected on this. The food is also very lackluster in taste and presentation. Its very boring and nothing that screams and makes me want to come back to eat and as for the drinks, super expensive. So much so you could go belly-up-broke in a matter of 30 minutes in this place. And then there’s the KIDOS! Screaming hollering and they are EVERYWHERE good thing they have to leave at 11pm to save us all from the mad chaos. **Overall the cons far outweigh the pros here at D&B. The gaming experience as a whole can often be short lived and almost boring after a few visits making you question, is that it! I wish there was more to do. It would be cool though if they did had like some indoor go-Karts at this location. Just saying. Cheers.

Don’t bother coming for the food. If you can manage to get a table you’ll never see a server. And if you can finally put an order in, it’ll take a few hours to get your food. Just come for the games, and the bar. It’s Chuck-E-Cheese for adults.

Dave and Busters is a common cure for boredom. It’s not often that the games are broke or down for maintenance so that’s awesome, but the inability to really quantify how much each point is worth in dollars always bugs me. They are typically busy so service isn’t the best, but there’s a guy who’s worked there since it opened, long hair with a pony tail, who works in the game room that is awesome. If there is a problem with the game he is the guy to fix it with a smile. The food is always been average but we buy it because of the great eat and play deal. I would recommend the chicken tenders and avoid the chicken and artichoke pasta(it reminded me of the frozen skillet meals you get from the grocery store). The drinks are pretty good and if you make it during happy hour between 4:30– 7 during the week they are reasonably priced. Overall it’s exactly what you expect from a D&B not the best restaurant but a totally fun place to be a kid again!

Came for«May the 4th Be With You» event. Starting off with the service, we were in the party room for the event. The waitress we had was extremely rude and irritated if we asked any questions. I asked how much a drink was(it wasn’t listed on the menu) and her response was«You know It’s a big menu I don’t know all 400 drinks.» I had never been here before and was curious about the prices and she seemed agitated by one simple question! If we asked for drinks refills, ketchup, etc she would storm off and not say a word to us. I get that you might be short staffed but don’t be rude to the customers! The event was fun(5⁄5 for that!) and the games were half priced so it was a good time, it was just an uncomfortable atmosphere with the waitress making us feel unwelcome and on edge.

Love this place. Despite the complaints, I recognize places get very busy. I understand mistakes are made — it’s the way those situations are handled. This location does a great job in customer relations and handling those things. The service is fantastic. The food is great. Games are fun. And games are half priced on Wednesdays. The prize bank isn’t too shabby either. Great for adults. I highly recommend & enjoy coming here!

We come here for the kids. This is better than chuckie cheese any day. Games are great. Service is not. The server stations are too few and too far apart. If you ask for plates it’s too far for them to bring them too you quickly. Too many managers on and not enough servers. 10 minutes to get menus, 10 more minutes for drink orders, 10 more minutes for drinks, 20 more minutes for chips and guacamole and one order of wings, 10 more minutes for blue cheese/plates/napkins, asked for check and I got it 20 minutes later. I felt bad for the server– he had someone who was trying to help(or supposed to be helping) but wasn’t doing their job. I left 20% tip… But that’s really low for me. My advice get more stations to help them have access to things that would speed up service.

This is a great place to bring the kids to play games. It’s also a great date night spot after 10 pm on the weekends. Food service is SLOW… even when they aren’t busy, it’s slow. The food is good, but kind of over priced. With kids I recommend going on a Wednesday night, at that time all games are half priced which makes it much more affordable.

First time going to Dave ‘n Busters and we had A BLAST!!! Think of it as a Chuck E Cheese for kids AND adults! There were games for people of all ages! I had a drink & for the life of me, I can’t think of the name of it(blame my head and not my heart), but i shoulda went and shook the bartender’s hand! He/she definitely MADETHATDRANK! They were heavy handed wit the alcohol, but that was fine! It was a Saturday & I had my girls PLUS2 bonus kids, so i DESERVED that drank! The food was good too! No complaints on anything. We will be back!

Another year, Another Christmas party. Yeah I’m a little late on this review, but better late than never. I’m not a regular attendee of this establishment however they have done a bang-up job of hosting our Christmas parties for the last 2 years. This year they actually one upped themselves and added a potato bar to our buffet. The potato bar had mashed potatoes, regular baked potatoes or potato pancakes, and then there were about a dozen choices for toppings. As usual the rest of our dinner was excellent with a choice of two entrée’s and plenty of sides. Plus we had an ice cream bar for deserts and a regular bar full of tasty adult beverages. What more can you ask for? After dinner and all the company stuff they uncovered the pool tables and let us loose on the joint. So thumbs up to my company and here’s to another great Christmas party next year.

Really I want to say 2.75 stars. I can’t remember when I started hating giant crowds so much! Here’s the gist: * It’s a grown-up a Chuck-E-Cheese. You get tickets and you get prizes. * It’s also a giant arcade. You buy a card, load it up, and use it on all games! * It’s a restaurant. Forget having a big birthday celebration with w/a big group here on the weekend. Been there, done that. You WILL wait. Almost an hour. No reservations. The food is ok. My favorite so far is their Spinach Dip. * It’s a bar. As expected, drinks are overpriced. So that you will not be overwhelmed and annoyed, I suggest going on a week day, during the daytime if possible. If you come in the evening during the weekend, good luck.

I want to like this place but the service at the bar is atrocious and has been going downhill for a while. A friend and I would normally go after work for drinks but won’t be going back again after yesterday. The bartenders will either walk past you multiple times without acknowledging you, and when you’re able to stop anyone to ask a question, their answer is «hold on», as they scurry away and are never to be seen again. On Friday January 8 around 4:45, we had a server make our first drink then disappear, about 15 minutes go by and we ask another bartender what happened to the guy who had served us, turns out he left for the day. That’s cool, but damn, a heads up would have been nice. My friend ordered wings from the new bartender but asked if they can be extra crispy, she sent them back when they were brought out because they were not correct. When they do eventually come back, the wings were burnt. I mean legit burnt. So burnt, the bartender tried to say«Now…they’re not burnt, it’s just…» Before he could even finish, My friend said«No, that’s not right, I’m not eating those, take those back» The bartender looked her in the face and said«Can you ask me nicely?» So my friend said«Go get your manager!» The bar manager came out and apologized. He went back and he asked the cook what happened, and the cook said he thought she wanted them like that. Needless to say, my friend was upset and said forget the wings. He asked if she wanted anything else, but you know someone in the back was gonna mess with her food after that, so it wasn’t worth it. The manager took the wings off the bill and apologized again but the bartender made sure to stay on the opposite side of the bar and not even apologize nor be available when we wanted to pay the check and leave. Thanks to the bartender who just happened to be walking by who we had to stop and ask for help for closing out our tab. Long story short: Not worth your business or your time!

We wanted to have a drink and get an appetizer before a movie and almost missed the movie because of the poor service. It literally took 25 minutes to finally track down a server to place our order. When we finally tracked down a waitress service was ok… food was ok too. It is just irritating to have to experience this sort of aggravation for such a simple order.

The center bar 1 star– They have A LOT of staff behind the bar. However, only a few of them are bartenders. I know this because I sat at the bar for almost two hours and observed the circus. When you are sitting at a bar, you should never have to waive down a bartender. We had to waive down a bartender every time we needed something. If they had proper customer service they would have been checking in with us. We only had two drinks in two hours, and honestly that could have been doubled if we had proper service. We ordered spinach dip which was delicious! However, the chips they served us were clearly from the bottom of the bag. There were maybe 5 whole chips the rest were broken corners tidbits of chips. It ruined what would have been a taste explosion experience. The chips were served warm and toasty. Front desk — We noticed the pool tables were open, so we went over to check it out. There is a sign that says you have to see the front desk attendant in order to play. So I go wait in the ridiculous line, but when I get up to the counter the rep. tells me that I have to put my name on the list. I advised her that there isn’t anyone at the tables. This causes her to look at her coworker and ask if he has called anyone from the list. There are apparently four people ahead of me on the list. This whole process seems ridiculous to me. Why wouldn’t they just have coin/point operated tables? The front desk is ALWAYS packed on the weekends adding the pool table customers just adds extra traffic. Having the pool table customers going up to the front seems ridiculous. Anyway needless to say, we never heard my name called either because they never called it or because it is impossible to hear your name called while in a loud arcade. Arcade 5 stars — The arcade is great. I only saw one game that was out of order. I was there on a busy Saturday night. I LOVE that minors have to leave after 11. It makes the night a lot less crazy. We did have a small issue with one game dispensing paper tickets. We were quickly able to find someone to help us, and he also went out of his way to tell us about the paperless ticket option and change our account for us. Now we don’t have to tote around tickets anymore. I thought about giving them an extra star for the tasty spinach dip and great arcade. However, you go to an establishment for the service. Anyone can put an arcade together. I’ve been to many D&B. VA Beach really needs to do better.

Let’s start with the bar. There are five or six bartenders behind the bar, yet it is impossible to get their attention. I tried for five minutes to order a drink, and then waited an additional five to attempt to get a bite to eat. The bartender named Aaron was particularly unfriendly and seemed to purposely avoid making eye contact with us. The gaming area. This D&B was built about 2 years ago, but looks much older. There are the standard amount of games and heavy crowds on the weekends. Luckily, kids have to leave @ 11, so that provides some respite from the chaos. The pool table. You have to reserve you space at the front desk, but they don’t keep track of the names… so many of the tables remained empty while we waited to be called. Disappointed in the level of service. Very disappointed.

Not my first rodeo with a Dave & Buster’s, but it was my first time at this particular location. Hubby and I met up with a couple of friends and overall we had a pretty decent night. We did NOT play any games(I know boo!!) but we enjoyed drinks and the food. The red sangria is pretty good, however I was disappointed that there was SOMUCHICE in my drink. OK I got it. Alcohol isn’t cheap by any means. However it was pretty ridiculous how much ice there was and how little sangria I received. Next time the waitress came by I asked for another one but with less ice. I got what I asked for… and IMO a weaker drink. Hmm. The food was pretty good. I didn’t have any high expectations whatsoever when it came to their food just because 1) it’s a chain and 2) it’s a gaming place… not really somewhere I set out expecting a gourmet meal. But I was surprisingly somewhat impressed. The wings were standard with the not so special buffalo sauce but were still good nonetheless. The spinach dip was alright but the star of the appetizers were the nachos. Yummy! I ordered the ribs and wings combo with their«seasoned» fries. The ribs were ok, sauce was eh.(I wouldn’t enter that sauce into any BBQ competition), but the fries were definitely no where close to being seasoned. Hubby ordered the cajun pasta dish. I tasted it and IMO you could taste more flour than sauce… cut back on the thickener guys. Anyways, the food did take a while to come out but I expected that. It was a pretty decent sized crowd last night! We waited for about 10 minutes for a party of 6. Afterwards I would say it was about a 30 minute wait between appetizers and entrees, so not too bad. Our waitress did a pretty good job last night however despite the wait time. Overall, I’d come back. It’s something to do in the area and I definitely want to beat the crap out of my husband in the arcade next go round.

Ok, for months and months I have heard from people that I need to check out the cool and exciting Dave & Buster’s so while on vacation in Virginia Beach, the family and I decided to try it out. We walked into the restaurant looking forward to the experience and went to the front counter and stated we have never been before and the young lady behind the counter would much rather not have done anything or even talked to me or my family. We then went in and the young lady at the dining area away from the bar area stated that I could choose either but when I stated that the family wants to sit in the bar area to watch some of the sports on the TV she was disappointed it seemed. This must have been the case because it took about 25 minutes for anyone to even look our direction or offer drinks and/or menus. When the waitress finally came over to the table you could tell that the crew was hanging out or maybe it was a change in shift due to the time of day it was but she was preoccupied with other things. I asked for some recommendations and she just read off the menu … that was about it not really any excitement or passion about the product that they were offering. The food was pretty plain and was more like a chain restaurant of course and was extremely overpriced for the wuality of the product that came. The only person that was excited about the food was my 10 year old son who was ecstatic about the huge burger he got. We then played video games and althought wasn’t really about the wife and I and was more about our kiddo, it was really not that great but it sufficed. I am glad that I only got cards for my wife and son and not myself for the games because I would have completely thought it was not worth the dime. So, I am going to give two stars only for the fact that we referenced that it felt a little like Vegas and seemed exciting with great music playing with large TV’s for any sports fan’s dream but all the rest was pretty sub-par. Don’t think we will be trying it again unless we go with a large group to keep it fresh and fun.

This is my third visit and I continue to not be really impressed. There are some aspects such as the game portion which are unique and cool if your into that. If your going to D&B someone in your party is. However, the food end of the business is lackluster. As well as I experienced a few service issues on this visit. The dining room areas from what I could see where all ready to go with opening. Clean and tidy every where I could see. Of course this is what one would expect minutes from opening. There large screen TV’s every where turned to an assortment of sporting events. So it makes it a great venue groups and watching events on the tube. So today visit was with the kids and we started off with lunch at opening. Our waiter Fred attended to us nicely and there were no service issues. However the slider boneless chicken dish I had was barely at par. The hamburger meat was dry and the sauce on the wings did nothing for me. The fries were the best thing about the meal. My children liked there respective meals. My son a cheeseburger and my daughter a children’s pretzel dog were both eaten and enjoyed. We added a power up card and super charged it for $ 3 more to the meal which seems like a better deal, they say it is. The kids enjoyed the games and only found that the game Operation did not work. I think that is okay considering the amount of maintenance required on the huge amount of square footage of electronics. There were areas where the carpeting was coming up and unraveling at the seams. Since they have so much foot traffic this is not surprising even with just being open over a year. The restrooms were in great condition and had supplies. There is a TV and some sort of game system box out of order over a urinal. I did not get it at all, so no clue what was up. The service issue was at the points redemption area. My daughter attempted to get help and no employees at the desk area. She came and got me and there were two employees, one male and one female talking over in a side office area in the back. After several minutes of trying to figure out if they were the ones who should be helping the woman saw my daughter and came to assist. Later one after looking for around 15 minutes everyone was gone again when needed check out. A young male employee came and has his cell phone out. I have tried to be fair and average out three visits. I think a 3.5 is where they are, but rounding down. The dishes I had on last visit were stronger and I don’t recall service issues at redemption area. My kids love all the games, but to be honest it is darn expensive and Chuckie Cheese is a much better bargin, especially for children 10&U who don’t need the higher end games. No doubt Dave & Busters is slanted to an adult crowd with billiards, higher end video games and bar. I have put a tip on the system for parents to be cautious about the exit to the mall and watch your small children. I cannot see myself rushing back.
