Denny’s

Horrible service, waitress forgot everything, had to ask numerous times for stuff. Plus she just forgot about us for the longest time. She took two tables orders that came in after us before finally coming over and taking our order. She let the food sit at the counter getting cold. Had to ask for utensils so the kids could eat. Never checked on us for refills or anything. And the food wasn’t that good at all. I guess the reason we stayed away from here hasn’t been fixed. Guess we’ll stick with citrus, Pocahontas, and ihop.

This place is atrocious. Every time I’ve gone there in the last 5 years they have been EXTREMELY under staffed. The staff seems like they are exhausted and frustrated. There is one waitress (not sure if she still works there) that is extremely rude. It takes anywhere from 15 – 60 minutes to get your food. (yes, once it took an entire hour for me and a 3 other people to get served.) The foods not that good either. They really need to work on things at this place.

I went to Denny’s today and was so disappointed. My husband and I walked in was seated shortly after. However, we sat at the table for about 10 – 15 minutes and was not offered a drink. At around that time we realized another couple who had just walked in was being waited on (seated and brought some drinks). We will not be back. I couldn’t believe that we were completely ignored like that.

Lives up to expectations!
I expect good food and good service. We were seated and order taken promptly. Although it was busy, the food came out fairly quickly. Quality of the food is on point. Refills were checked regularly. Servers were not overbearing and checked in at the right times. Very attentive!
Seated in front of the windows in a booth, it was nice to have breakfast and coffee while soaking in some of the morning sun.
Overall, a chill place to start off your day right!

They were not busy enough to be as slow as they were. I could have gotten a better meal faster for my family of four by driving to four different fast food restaurants. The staff was very friendly.

Dennys is what you make it, you have good and bad days so can’t really give a really complain about it or give it praise.

I went to Dennys with my friend. She treated me. Our waitress was really good. Her name was Susan. She was stretched thin but she was really good. They had her working front to back running around but she always paid attention to our table. I had the American slam, it was pretty good. It had cheesy scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast. The eggs were cooked perfectly. The bacon was nice and crisp. The hash browns were good. For frozen hash browns. The coffee was a bit bitter but it’s way better than ihop’s coffee. It helped warmed me up I was cold and it gave me the caffeine fix that I needed. This location was clean. They clean up fast. There was a table there that was there prior to us arriving, and they had it cleaned up, with new customers in a matter of minutes. I would recommend this location. Ask for Susan.

This is a good Denny’s. I mean it’s Denny’s. It looks like most Denny’s that I’ve been to. The staff are friendly and always have smile on their faces. This particular Denny’s I went to is clean. That’s very important to me. As soon as a customer left they had a table wiped down and cleaned in a heartbeat. That’s actually pretty great. The food was good. I had the American Slam. It consisted of bacon, toast, hash browns and scrambled eggs and cheese. I found the eggs a little on the soft side for me and a tiny bit salty, but it wasn’t bad. Our server Susan was great. They had her running all over the restaurant covering tables but she always came and checked on us. She was a great waitress. I would say come to this Denny’s if you want a quick in and out experience, with clean and friendly service.

This Denny’s is considerably larger than the other locations I have been to. The staff is friendly, the food is good and come out in a timely and efficient manner. The waitstaff actually treats you like a human being! They are willing to even make conversations and talk about their interest. The atmosphere is peaceful and quiet but not too much, and when you’re done, you can hang out at Harris Teeter across the lot.

This place is garbage. Eating in u wait forever and you don’t get checked on. So unlike to call in my order and eat it at home. Well that’s a joke also cause u can’t get a hold of them. I tried over and over for 30 mins and nothing. Actually pisses me off. I like the food but apparently they don’t want my money. Oh well I’ll go to ihop

Service was good though it took some time to be seated and the waitress grouchy at first.
Food was delivered hot and as requested for four differing order your own grand slams. Refills were provided.
Bathrooms were clean.

I’d been warned by friends and family not to eat here — but I tried it. Bad decision. The food was way over cooked — you would think that they couldn’t mess up a breakfast, but they did. I could play Frisbee with my eggs, the hash browns were black and the pancakes cold. My waitress NEVER came back to see if everything was okay until she brought me the bill — then offered to remake the breakfast — at which point I didn’t have time to wait again for it to be cooked. Will NEVER stop here again. Oh — I also had tea and I received a tea bag and cup of hot water — after the tea was steeped, I had no place to set the tea bag except on the table — I did ask the waitress to bring me something to set it on but before doing that, she waited on another table. So I sat at my table, holding the tea bag, waiting. Definitely don’t recommend.

One of the all time worst dining experiences I’ve had in a while. The waitress was below average and the food was very cold. Also the cold meal took a very long time to come to our table. When we spoke to management, she responded with apathy and excuses. After waiting another 25 minutes for no food to come out, we decided to leave. I’ve worked in the restaurant industry, so I am empathetic to the struggles involved. Afterall, the fish rots from the head down, right? So this post goes out to the management, get it together!

Sat down at the counter was handed a menu… then I waited. .I waited. .I waited. .it was very slow so that made the wait worse. .
In the mean time every server walked by with out saying a word.. Finally my server came around the corner. Said «I’ll be right with you».;a few minutes later she walked up and said” you knew what you want? ” no drinks nothing. .so I Ordered coffee. .when I placed my order I asked that the potatoes be cooked well done. .
When the server returned with the dish the potatoes were all but raw. …she sat then down and said. .” Here ya go potatoes cooked all”. (Really); no bread canme with my meal so I ordered rye toast. After completing my meal I still didn’t have the toast. .she re-​order the toast. .when it came it wasn’t toasted. .think they waved over the toaster at best. .
Very disappointed. .
Bad service.
People like this should the customers the life blood. .
With all that being said .I did notice the othet servers being attentive and making sure the fid was right before being brought to the table

Poor food and service. Wait was to long. I realize it’s Christmas Eve but this was crazy. Husbands hamburger bun came out with red sauce all over it. Eggs were overcooked, portions were way to small. Food presentation was awful. Really upset we had to send both plates back and we were still missing stuff. No offer of any kind for our issues. Will not eat here again anytime soon.

I usually expect an old facility when it comes to Denny’s but this Denny’s is renovated to a new look. Despite of it, the service is lacking which is a general case of all Denny’s. It’s not easy to get attention. They seemed to be always busy.

Wifi connection is pretty good, was able to get some work done in the middle of the night.

I’ve come in here the last few weeks for breakfast. I hadn’t been to one in a long time.
Much has changed since the last time I was here. It had to be at least five years. When I was here then, the experience wasn’t as good and still used the light up server numbers to indicate when food was ready to be picked up.
This is not the case any longer. They have definitely updated the place to be more modern. It looks brighter and cleaner in here now compared with what I remembered a long time ago.
For breakfast, I had the French Toast Slam with scrambled eggs and all bacon (four slices). The food was great. The food was nice and hot.
If you haven’t been here in a while, it’s worth the trip trying them again.

Waitress was polite. Service a bit slow for the small crowd. Food was good but the kids pizza was way over priced for the 35 cent mass-​produced cardboard quality. Burgers and chicken were delicious and the pancake poppers were deep fried. Ours were over fried.
Over all a decent dinner for a Denny’s. Ice coffees are now free refills.
Clean restaurant.

This holiday morning was like any holiday morning, all the breakfast joints had lines out the door. We should have waited but no, the hubs doesn’t like to wait so off to Denny’s, no line, that should have told us something.
The greeting area was a bit confusing, there were three people trying to be the host so they were essentially tripping over each other. Who has the list? Are they on the list? No, don’t seat them there, go here… comical actually.
This must be an old building, well, the much needed maintenance suggests it. Several stools at the counter were missing seats. Paint is chipping off the walls around the windows. It’s dirty too! Dead flies on the window sills almost had me heading for the door. A power washer is badly needed beginning with the inside first.
The bright light was our server. She had a never ending smile and almost gave us a perfect service. If she hadn’t refilled my hubs coke with a diet coke she would have aced it. My english muffins were dripping in butter and she gleefully returned them and got new, dry ones. My turkey bacon was overcooked and dry. Hubs order of bacon was two skimpy pieces and his grits were without any flavor… like eating water.
I think the thing that irked me the most was hearing servers say «would you like toast for 99 cents additional?» Seriously? A loaf of bread costs a buck… toast should be free.
