I called 6 times this morning no answer to try and put in a takeout order. On the last try, they answered and put me on hold. 6 minutes later, I hung up. Disappointed.

Slow service, burnt food, canned tomatoes and small portions. It’s close to some shopping which is nice. Atmosphere was ok but i wouldn’t come here again.

So full disclosure we were actually headed to Citrus. Also somewhere I have not been yet. But there was over an hour wait and not one here so we decided to give it a try. Really glad there was a wait at that other place! Good service, the food was great we tried both the pancakes and the French toast along with the obligatory two eggs any style and bacon, mmmmm bacon, sorry, and the hash-browns o’brien. Good good stuff. Great price and great portions. Our waitress was Sheri and she took great care of us as well. We will be back!

Service is horrific. Food is terrible. I’ve gone on two occasions because I’m all about second chances but will not be giving them a third. We were given the bill as soon as we were given our meal and were not checked on again leaving me without a drink for half of my entrée. If you want to get chocolate chips in your pancakes it’s an extra dollar but don’t expect the chips the be spread out — there will be 4 – 5 small chips in the center. Home fries were out of a box. Chicken for the and waffles are from the freezer. Huge disappointment.

Really surprised by this place. Tried it in a whim and honestly was not disappointed. The place was«divey» and clean. I will be honest as the place started to fill up it consumed a lot of the staff but they did their best to keep up. The place was clean and they have live jazz on Fridays, looks to be during the day though. They also have a bar and drink specials on mimosas from 7−11am. I had the omelette and it wasn’t that bad. Food was good and came out hot. Liked the experience and will go back. It’s worth a stop in and try for yourself.

The wait staff is very friendly. The home fries are so tasty you don’t need to cover them with ketchup. The price is right and atmosphere is cozy. It’s a gem of a breakfast diner!

Today was my one day off and I wanted to treat myself to a good breakfast. I’ve been to early bird café before and it was excellent. This time my waitress Cindy was so welcoming and so AWESOME. I love the cozy feel of EB and the food is great at a reasonable cost. I had the«Dove» with pancakes, eggs and grits and it was excellent. 10⁄10 would recommend this to anyone I know.

Small, semi-busy, locals spot. See the new flashy place on the main road? Yeah, go into the big parking lot behind that BUSY place and you’ll find this gem. Home-style cooking. Eggs Benedict and Corned Beef Hash at our table. Both were amazing! Fresh tomato and spinach on the Greek Benedict. Don’t skip the home style fries that are perfectly seasoned and the side of toast. Thick cut rye toast that you almost never see in your chain restaurants, on point to soak up the runnings of the CBH. Service was decent… if I were to rate this a 4 star, it would be because they weren’t blazing fast with the service. But they STAYMOVIN! Understandable that it may take a few passes to check on you.

Absolutely amazing!!! As soon as we walked in, we were greeted. We sat down and our server automatically brought us waters. We took a good while ordering being our first time. Daughter had yogurt and fruit cup. The fruit was fresh and carried a variety of fruits including peach, blueberry, strawberry. Husband ordered Big Bird. He couldn’t even finish it all and he can eat. They even made his eggs omelet style. They also serve liquor. He had Tangeray and OJ. I had Greek eggs Benedict. Delicious!!! Very great staff, very attentive and quick to attend to your needs.

I wandered in here last week before work because I had some time to kill and was hoping to get a quick breakfast. The waitress was the only one working in their dining room but she was moving quickly and giving all 4 tables plenty of attention. Her positive attitude was great in the morning on a rainy day. All of their breakfast dishes have names related to the restaurant’s bird theme. I ordered French toast with a side of eggs and home fries. The food came very quickly. All of it was delicious. My major dilemma with many breakfast places is that when I order my eggs scrambled hard I get brown eggs. The Early Bird café cooked them perfectly. No moisture and NO browness. They were such good eggs that I finished my whole plate in less than 15 minutes. My OJ and meal cost me $ 10 and change so it was a budget friendly morning as well. I’ll definitely be back.

My husband, kids, and I stopped in for breakfast one morning. The café was nice and the hostess was friendly. I really liked the décor. Our service was slow and my daughter’s order was wrong. They were busy that day, but our waitress seemed to be the only one with a problem. She kept disappearing; we didn’t see her on the floor most of the time. We had to wave down another waitress twice to find her. The food was good, but nothing special enough to bring us back.

Ate their waffle with chocolate chips and a side of bacon. It was good. The hashbrowns are a must though. I split those with the BF. So yummy, the hashbrowns have onions, bacon, bell pepper smothered with cheese. Megan is a good waitress, coffee wait kind of sucked since its early and I’m the kind of person that needs two cups before I’m happy. Another waitress walked around just her tables with a pot so I’m still waiting. Great place to eat though. No wait to be seated, food came out fast and was yummy, and alright prices. **edit Our waitress just brought our check, apologized for neglecting us without me saying anything. I got my second cup of coffee and she discounted our bill. I’m just happy with my coffee and the acknowledgement.

I really wanted to give this place 5 stars. It is tucked away in such a cute shopping center. The décor is wonderful! They keep it clean, and there is a small stage where they have live music i am guessing. The ambiance overall is awesome. We walked in and were greeted by passing waiters. There is no host/hostess to my knowledge. We were seated pretty quickly. The food was delicious! We had breakfast. The reason for the 4 out of 5 stars is the service. The waitresses were good but they seemed a bit disorganized and under staffed. We fortunately got our food ordered before the rush came in but as soon as an extra few tables were sat it took forever to see our waitress again. I had to get up and find someone in order to pay.

If it weren’t for the 12-foot tall«Breakfast» banner I would’ve never known this place existed. Came across Early Bird Café by happenstance when I pulled into a strip mall to answer a phone call when I was driving, and needed a little something for breakfast. Ambiance: Inside has the good hometown feel that says, «This is where locals come to eat.» On this particular morning local musicians were cranking out some blues tunes. Never had that with breakfast but I dug it. Food: I noticed on the special board they had the Scrapple Platter, and another item called Hash Brian, which is Early Bird Café’s version of corned beef hash. Being a Scrapple connoisseur I couldn’t pass the opportunity to try their preparation of this Philadelphia favorite but I also felt the need to indulge in my fondness for Corn Beef Hash(CBH). The Scrapple was sliced and cooked perfectly. The eggs were also cooked to order. If for no other reason than the scrapple and eggs, I’ll be back. That said if I order the scrapple it’s probably better I don’t come with my wife or daughter, they hate it… but not sure why? The Hash Brian turned out to be a dressed up version of canned corned beef hash. It looks like they start with a can of corn beef hash, add grilled slices of onion and green pepper, crispy potato cubes and finish with shredded cheddar cheese. Usually I only like it when all the ingredients are actually homemade but this was done well. Clearly the cook has some skills but think how good the dish could be if they made their own corned beef(or utilized a local source of freshly made corned beef). Service: Excellent. Friendly and attentive from the moment I walked in to the time my server brought the check. Cleanliness: No complaints. Everything looked clean from the floor to the plates. Overall: I found this place to have good breakfast with great service so I’m torn between the 3 and 4 but all in all I’m rounding down to 3. The half homemade and half canned was the difference maker. That said, I’ll be sure to come back for lunch and update the review then.

Wow, that was a great breakfast with great service! And if it hadn’t been for Unilocal,we would never have found this little gem! We both chose the«Bird’s Nest» which consists of two eggs on top of corned beef hash with toast and home fries. And yes, we’ll have the O“Brien even if there is an upcharge. Oh, yes. The hash was great, the eggs were *perfectly* poached on top and the toast was tasty. But the potatoes? OMG, that’s some good taters. Yum is the word. Coffee kept coming and our waitress Megan did a great job of taking care of us. Not quite a full bar, they have a couple of beers and several bottles of spirits. At 9:00AM on Saturday, we were offered Bloody Marys or Mimosas if desired. Surprisingly empty for a Saturday morning. I hope this place does well because it’s really a great spot!

Thanks to Tiffany S for putting this on my radar. I go to this shopping center often for Brothers, Central 111 and Warrior’s Grill and decided to pop in to see what this place was all about. Early Bird’s the name but they offer lunch, too. I ordered their Early Bird club sandwich: ham, turkey, bacon and the usual mixings. Quite impressed… The combo of the tomato spewing along with the mayo on the first bite was phenomenal. I asked for my fries extra crispy and got just that. It was pretty quiet during my visit so I do hope that their lunch crowd picks up(not sure what breakfast is like but given their location on the right side of the road en route to the interstate makes me think they do okay for now). The owner, a young entrepreneur, came by to make sure everything was well. Very friendly and always a nice gesture to receive such a greeting. I’m not out this way for breakfast but will make it a point to visit this place again as well as put it into rotation of places in the shopping center I frequent for lunch.
