It’s not a four or five simply because its just not a four/five star place. However, the food has been consistently good, hot & always tasty. Service has always been pleasant, timely, yet not bothersome. The only issue I might have is that it’s too small for the volume of their weekend bands. I like my music LOUD, however the music was just painfully loud. Couldn’t hear each other across a small table & we were literally screaming to one another. Love their food & service; just not the extreme music volume.

I frequent this place often but my son and his friends are regulars– weekly at least. So I join them on occasions. They have so many specials! Burger night, shrimp and wing night, appetizers ½ off night, etc. this last visit was ½ off burgers and I got the mushroom Swiss burger! Oh my gosh! It was fantastic! Who ever was on the grill that night was nailing it! My son got the pretzel burger and it too was delicious. Both burgers were juicy and topped with the best topping… We both got sweet potato fries which were so good and very much worth the $ 1.00 extra. I’ve had their nachos and chicken quesadilla which some in my crowd like but I’m not a fan– the chicken tastes old to me or like leftover chicken. The drinks were mixed right and even though discounted I could taste the alcohol. Oh and the fish tacos are great too! The staff; hostess and waitresses are always friendly and accommodating. All in all a good place to hang out any time … And maybe watch some Première League Soccer!

Decent food… The kitchen printer ran«out of paper» and they forgot our order so we waited 30 mins for them to figure out that our food wasn’t ordered.

After two solid visits I did not want to wait to put up a review. The restaurant is located in the lonely Landstown Commons. I say lonely because after five years it is really just beginning to gain some traction, but is far from busy. Finn McCools is a chain restaurant, but does not have a huge presence in our area. Both visits were on a weekday evening and at the bar. Both visits I had the same bartender, Tyler who provided excellent service. Both times I ordered the same dish, it was that good! So to see a great carbon copy performance within a few weeks was pretty cool. The décor is open with dark wood every where. Table and chairs in the center with a huge bar that seats 20+. I found the dining room in good condition. No tables not occupied were not cleared. No debris on the floor. I did not use the restroom facilities on either visit. There is an outdoor patio in front that allows smoking. The barkeep gave me a nice run down of what was on tap and bottle which was not impressive at all on my first visit. I did end up getting something that I cannot recall that worked however. I ordered the prime rib on the waiter recommendation. It came with mash potatoes and a vegetable medley. On my second visit they had Hardywood Gingerbread Stout on tap which was a great find and I jumped all over it. Both times the meal came out in less than ten minutes. Both times the meal was cooked correctly to my specifications. Both times the dish was scrumptious and please look at my pic to judge how huge and thick this hunk of meat was. At a great value $ 12.95. The food was hot and tasty and darn I was impressed. I do plan on making a return trip in the near future.

I frequent Landstown Commons, but had only tried here once before. Last night, my husband and I went and got seated at the booth right by the bar. The majority of the Irish menu sounded good to me, and I narrowed it down to the rockfish and crab pasta. The waitress gave me more options when I ordered, so apparently if I didn’t want pasta I could have had rice plus I could choose another side. The mixed vegetables I ended up choosing were well seasoned squash, carrots, and green beans. My pasta was cooked well and the seafood tasted fresh and was flakey. I was even able to add a cup of fresh tasting she crab soup for a smaller fee than if it had been ordered on its own. I was content with the portion of the entrée, and the little bit I took home even tasted good reheated for lunch today. I am looking forward to trying other meals from their menu.

The food and the service is fantastic. Go for the Finn’s Steamed Platter. OMG, oysters, clams, mussels, shrimp, steamed veggies and corn on the cob. Plenty of food for two. I get two-three servings as left overs.

Came here last night for a few beers and apps. We got the seared teriyaki tuna and half dozen clams. For 6 smallllllllllll ass clams were 5.99. It was robbery. I wouldnt suggest anyone get it. Seared tuna was good flavor but chewy. I actually had a spit out a piece I ate. 6 beers, 2 $ 3 shots, baby clams, and tuna cost us 63 bucks. Nah yo… Nahhh!

I went here on a Monday evening, which was half off burger night and $ 0.55 oyster night. My friend chose to come here since she enjoys their burgers. We each ordered a dozen oysters. I ordered them raw and they were ok. She seemed to enjoy the steamed ones. We also each ordered a burger. She ordered the jalapeño burger with regular fries and I ordered the turkey burger with the sweet potato fries. I asked that my burger be wrapped in lettuce instead of having a bun. The server obliged; however, she misunderstood my order. She thought that I ordered a turkey club instead of the turkey burger. It took awhile before I was able to gain her attention to alert her of this mistake, but once she was informed she quickly corrected the order. The turkey burger I finally received was pleasantly delicious and the sweet potato fries did not disappoint. Not one of my go-to spots, but not a bad deal on Monday nights if you’re in the Landstown Commons area.

We ate here on Sunday afternoon around 4 pm. The place wasn’t too busy which is fine by me. We had never eaten here before but I will say honestly that I picked this place because we went to the Farmers Market and was looking for somewhere close where I could use a coupon from my Entertainment book. Upon walking in we were greeted by a friendly host and seated quickly. The menu had a great selection to choose from and there was something for everyone to enjoy. My friend and I decided to share each others plate because we wanted to enjoy a little of everything we had. I ordered the ribeye steak and he ordered the seafood platter. I’m about the most honest critic you will find when I give a restaurant review so when I say what I’m about to say I’m being 100% honest. I’ve had a lot of steak in my lifetime… but that steak was THEEBEST steak I’ve EVER had at any restaurant around here! I’ll spare you the«OMG’s» but trust me, it was big, marinated and cooked to perfection and just overall AMAZING!!! Now the bad part… I substituted the baked potato and vegetables that came with it for mac n cheese and corn on the cob. I didn’t think about it until we got home that I never got my mac n cheese and the corn on the cob tasted like it had been sitting in water all day. It was cold and rubbery and just bad. I somehow got a side of coleslaw. It was pretty good. I’ve had better at Long John Silver’s to be honest. The seafood platter was pretty good. I ate the crab cake off it and split my steak with him.(I couldn’t eat the whole thing by myself anyway) Everything was fried which he enjoyed. I don’t eat much fried food. The crab cake was just okay. It was small and had more filler in it than crab. The shrimp were HUGE which was impressive. We were both expecting tiny little shrimp. The fish seemed slightly under seasoned but was good. He loved the french fries and raved about them. We walked out with clean plates so neither of us had too many complaints.(besides the corn). Would I go back? Oh hell yes! I WILL go back! I want to try the Shepherd’s Pie next time! A really great place to eat!

I was part of a group of eight people who went here for lunch today. Pros: Prompt and friendly service for the entire group… One person liked her potato soup ordered with some pretzels on the side. The restrooms and restaurant were clean. It was easy and free to park. Cons: The turkey burger was extremely bland and the bun tasted defrosted. The sandwiches and burgers were part of the lunch special for $ 6.95(pre-tax and tip).

Came here on a Friday night for drinks to celebrate a birthday. There were about 16 of us ordering anything from drinks, to appetizers, to entrees. The waitress was attentive and friendly. I only ordered a beer to drink, but it was cold — so that’s all that matters, right? They have specials that run daily and the food that others ordered looked good. If I didn’t live so far, I’d come back and try the food. The service was great and that says a lot to me when you have a large party and varying orders.

We had a great first visit here! We sat at the bar on a Sunday afternoon and the bartender took good care of us. We had the spicy chicken wrap with homemade chips and the poboy with onion rings, both were good and the menu has a good variety to please anyone. We then splurged and got desert… fried cookie dough bites with vanilla bean ice cream. That sold us, we will definitely be back! Yum!

I like the castle wall look inside of this place and their burger specials but I don’t think that it’s enough to make me have the urge to go back. I’ve visited this establisment a couple of times and each round has been different. The menu is okay, nothing that caught me off guard. I can’t even remember what I ate but what I do remember is that the service is pretty slow. I still remember the time that I walked in and it smelled like burnt hair. It was so overpowering that I actually walked right back out. I’m not sure if it was a plumbing issue or what the issue was but I wasn’t going to stay in there. The Kareoke ad Trivia nights they put on are pretty fun and draw a good sized crowd!

OK, I have to update my review. In summary, my visits to Finn McCools in the 2011−2013ish timeframe were great. Then I had a couple bad visits in earlier 2014. But… I returned recently, and the service was awesome. Also the food was terrific again and properly cooked to order, so I am bumping them back up to a high rating. Today’s visit was great. They have a «6.99 half-pound burger deal» for lunch, M-F, 11am-2pm. They have just added a couple new burgers to the menu, one of them a «Mushroom Swiss» burger. Perfect. The burger was cooked to order, and the fries and onion rings are a good quality as well and tasted great. So any time you can get a half-pound burger for 6.99 that tastes superb and is cooked to order, you’ll get a high rating form me! Great service during lunch, very speedy, very tasty, very affordable! 4 Stars :-)

Black and tans and some shepherd’s pie! For lunch or dinner, you can’t go wrong. I had the fish and chips last time, that was good too. Shepherd’s pie, well, let’s just say they don’t skimp on the cheese, which is fine by me. The portion could be a bit larger, but hey, I’m fat, so for the average person it’s probably good.

Good lunch specials on sandwiches and burgers; six dollars for sandwich, fries and drink on weekdays. Not very Irish fare outside the boxty and Guinness. But all in all it’s you average chain restaurant with waitresses in short skirts and loud TV playing random sports.
