Henley Farms

This is a great farm with friendly people and delicious produce. Take the family with you and make «grocery shopping» and adventure.
They do also have a farm stand with pre-​picked items if you are not inclined to pick the items yourself.
I will caution you to watch out for biscuit the farm dog who likes to lay in the road.

Henley Farms has a produce market closer to town, but their pick-​your-​own farm is well worth the long drive out to Pungo. I would never, ever miss a May of strawberry picking. I look forward to it all winter long.
Bring your own container and pick them by the bucket full. Fresh, ripe, local strawberries — far superior to the ones from California that get their red color from gas pumped in the trucks that carry them here. I freeze the Henley strawberries for year round use in smoothies and make strawberry sauce for sundaes and waffles.
They also have pick-​your-​own blackberries, tomatoes, corn, pretty much everything you want. Why not go out to the farm and feel good about where your food is coming from first hand. Not only is it delicious, it’s a really fun activity to do with friends and family. Kids love it.
