We started our home exterior remodel quest(siding, gutters, down spouts, everything wrapped) in Oct 2014. We did our due diligence and had three companies come to our home and give their sales pitch. Two were ridiculously high and one was reasonable for the amount of work needed. Hometown had just completed a remodel next block over and we were impressed with the workmanship. Richard and Rob came next day and said to give them a chance to match or beat the lowest of my three bids. They did and we are truly glad we gave them the job. Reasonable prices and quality products were used throughout the remodel. Work started on Nov 10th and we were given a 3 – 4 week completion timetable based on weather, which was reasonable. Curtis was the contractor doing the remodel and the first day of demo found wood rot under the wrap on just about all our window frames. So new windows were ordered(under warranty from Window World thank goodness!). 3 weeks for those to get in. Curtis was able to do his work without regard of the windows. Due to Curtis losing his key worker due to unforeseen circumstances, work wasn’t completed until Dec 20. But the extra time was worth it because Curtis did a wonderful job and we could not be happier on how the house looks. It looks and is sealed better than new and I can be confident that nothing will leak again. We now have the best looking home in the entire subdivision. Hometown Remodeling is not the least expensive company out there but they are by far the most professional and provide the best quality work for the money! Thank you Curtis, Richard and Rob(Tina too!)

These guys remodeled our bathroom. They really did a great job, and it looks so much better than before. The person that came out was very knowledgeable, and gave us a variety of options. The project was started and completed in the timeframe they set for us, so we could plan around it. We had to call a few times to get updates from them — hence four stars not five. If we need more work done on the house we’d use them again.

After spending 10 hours in a week looking for a contractor to replace our gutters, repair and wrap the wood on the house and replace the soffits, we settled with HomeTown Remodeling. They weren’t the cheapest, but offered a premium product at a very competitive price(about $ 400 more than a lower quality product). Richard was willing to meet with just me without issue, which is rare I found. They started the job 10 days earlier than I had expected and finished 2 days earlier than promised. The crews that he had out were incredibly kind to me and my children, showing me the process and answering questions I had. The clean up was phenomenal and even the 3 – 4 pieces I found randomly after the walk around were picked up. Everything was done 100% to my satisfaction, and that was ensured! I would recommend them to anyone!

I scheduled an appointment with John Otocka at Hometown Remodeling. He was on time, well prepared and a wealth of great information. He is leader in the window replacement industry. His company provides the best value for you hard earned dollar. Would highly recommend to friends and family.

EXCELLENT! We had an unexpected death and needed to sell a family members house out of state. When we arrived we were told that many updates needed to be completed before selling home. Since we did not live there we took recommendation of real estate agent and met with Hometown. Richard and Rob met with us same day we called and provided estimate next day. We agreed to bid and work begun. First thing that impressed us is that they did not request a deposit. The whole project took 6 weeks and was estimated at $ 65,000. They replaced windows, siding, roof, kitchen, a bathroom and did some flooring and painting. There were some unexpected setbacks and they were conscious of not only our time constraint but the cost. The whole project only exceeded estimate by $ 3,000. When we built our house it exceeded estimate by $ 40,000 so needless to say we were happy. They completed the project on time and we could not be happier. We have had some bad experiences in the past and we are thankful that this went so smooth. It was convenient that they were able to do everything in house. We have since became friends and wish them many years success. Thank you so much for a job well done. Once the house was listed it had multiple offers within a couple of weeks and sold for more than it was listed for.

BEWARE! We signed a contract with Hometown Remodeling for a master bathroom renovation. One of the workers stole our home safe(an arrest warrant has been issued for breaking and entering with intent to commit felony, and grand larceny). We fired Hometown Remodeling as General Contractor when we learned they made numerous copies of our house key, distributed it without accountability, and even place one outside«on numerous occasions» for their convenience– all without our permission or knowledge. If Hometown Remodeling is currently working for you– ASK them who has keys to your home! If you are considering hiring them, think twice BEFORE trusting them with a key to your home! Additionally, when hiring other contractors to finish the job, we learned Hometown Remodeling had performed the entire project without ensuring any of the required permits were pulled(and thus avoiding any of the required inspections), even though Hometown Remodeling was directly asked by us if permits were required. Is this how you want YOUR project done? My advice would be to stay away from this company entirely. This bathroom renovation has been the worst experience of our life, and has resulted in the loss of irreplaceable items of sentimental value, as well as our sense of security in our home. BEWARE! UPDATE: For clarification– Our home safe was stolen during this contract. The police investigated, and issued an arrest warrant for Grand Larceny for a day laborer hired to work under this contract. This worker was the only suspect. There were no signs of forced entry. After the contract was terminated, FIVE additional keys to our home were eventually collected…
