DONOTBOOKHERE!!! We came here for our 18th anniversary. Pictures on the Internet are not accurate. No indoor pool. The hotel was skanky and dirty looking. We checked in and the room was not what we expected. 3 cars in the parking lot. Bathroom gross. We asked for our money back and told the manager Rosemary we were not happy and she refused to refund our money. When we got to another hotel(very nice and for $ 3 more) we were told that it was a roach infested brothel hotel that housed crack addicts. So glad we left. Will be calling Monday to talk to her supervisor. AGAIN… Do not book here!!! Terrible!!!

This place was absolutely atrocious. It was $ 103 for the night and was most definitely not worth the price. I would have preferred to have slept in my car, atleast I know its clean. The room is supposed to be «non-smoking» yet it smelled like cigarettes. But that wasn’t the worst smell. It literally stunk of rotten cheese. It was awful. The sheets had yellow stains on them and some of the pillows were ripped to the point where the cotton stuffing was coming out. This place should be ashamed of themselves. They definitely need a remodeling, or atleast some new sheets! I would never recommend this place to anyone and I strongly advise that you go somewhere else.

DONTDOIT! This place is bad. The room smells faintly of urine, the floor around bathroom and sink area was so sticky that we laid down towels to comfortably walk on it. Trip advisor gave this place 3 stars which was very innaccurate and misleading.

The worst stay ever. the service was horrible employees was rude lied about talking about the daily pet fee. Said that I didn’t give him my ID when he didn’t ask for it. basically it was a half ass job. Rooms does not look like what it says it is. It’s dirty smells like curry in the room. Looks like the house keeper pee in the Bathroom and didn’t flush it. wifi didn’t work it’s not even consider wifi if your in the far rooms it wont work. The chairs feels very un-sturdy overall customer service was horrible. To post this I atleast have to put one star!!! AVOIDATALLCOST!!! THEYDON’T ACCEPTMILITARYIDNOTMILTARYFRIENDLY!!!

Needed a place to crash for the night, so on Shore Drive there are a few hotels, motels and inns on this strip. It’s midnight and the other motels and hotels looked like lights out, no body even in the reception, not even a car. This Howard Johnson was the only one with lights in the reception area and a few cars, so I drive in. For no reservations and not booking ahead I think I only paid approximately $ 60-$ 75 for the night which included a cheesy breakfast of fruits, cereal, coffee and bread the next morning, not bad. But I would not recommend this place as a vacation hotel, crash and go. Because the front desk is where the mini breakfast was laid out with one table and it was tiny. Though I didn’t explore the entire inn, I think there’s not much more. This is not one of those multilevel hotels. The rooms are on the first floor in the back. Check-in, get your key, leave the front desk and go outside to the back where the cars are parked and that’s where the rooms are. Like a scene straight out of a movie. I was waiting for a dude with a mask and chain saw or the police to kick in my door while I slept. The room is cheesy. The bed covers were straight old school brown floral, white sheets were clean but nothing you want to snuggle up and get too comfy in. Only a little dirt around but nothing gross like bugs or anything, I always check. Furnishings-cheap. Television-old. Wifi-slow. Bathroom tiles looked like plastic covering for tiles, clean but cheap. The only amenities: wrapped soap, towels(I didn’t use) and wrapped plastics cups(I didn’t use). The only reason anyone would stay here is because they needed a cheap, no frills place to rest their head for a night or short-term stay. Though, I thank you HoJo for being there at midnight looking not to spend more than a hundred for one night.

WORST. ROOM. EVER. I have had very pleasant stays at various HoJos across this great nation of ours. Unfortunately, this particular location is UNACCEPTABLE. The non-smoking room REEKED of stale smoke and a chair had a cigarette burn hole in it. There was a LARGE, exposed stain on the side of the mattress, the trash had not been taken out and it was generally grimy. The management was about on the same par. They gave us the run-around when we checked out and went elsewhere and we have yet to get our refund. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. EVER.
