I had a chicken cheese and it was yummy my husband had a philly with all the fixens and he liked his but it was messy. They are quicker than most places so our wait wasn’t that long. I would love if they had a soda fountain machine because I prefer drinks in a cup with ice but that’s how I roll. They aren’t super fancy but they don’t need to be because the food is delish!!!

This was my first time here and it was pretty good. The dining area was full only one table was available. There were a few people standing around as well waiting for their orders. The dining area was clean and their was sports memorabilia on the walls. There’s a chip selection by the counter that you order from and a ice cream chest. The staff greets you when you come in, and they’re all pleasant. I ordered the cheese steak hoagie and a cheesesteak. The food didn’t take long at all. I was happy with the amount of meat that was on the hoagie. There was also lettuce, tomatoes, sweet peppers, hot peppers, onions, their special blend of oil and spices, cheese and pickles. I never had a cheese steak with pickles and I have to say it was alright. The meat was tender and seasoned well… it was good. The only thing i didn’t care for was all the oil that was on it. I think next time i will ask them to go lite on the oil. Other than there being a little to much oil it was good and i will be back to try something else.

So simple and delicious! I had the burger and it was awesome. Reminded me of something you’d get at a backyard bbq with friends in the summer time. You just can’t beat simplicity!

I don’t think anything I can say can do this place justice. The Philly cheesesteak is to die foe. The meat is so tender and juicy. The grilled onions and peppers are carmalized for the best pairing with the meat. The cheese is melty and yummy! I love this place!

This place never disappoints, the food s fresh, the staff is always helpful and friendly, and the wait is never long. I’ve always wanted to try the Norfolk locations but they’re either in not so safe areas or have a lot of people loitering around the door and although I’ve hesitated at the thought of going in a few times I always end up driving off lol. This location of great… no loitering or shady characters… the area is pretty safe so that’s a plus and it’s never swamped. I’ve been her a few times and the service and food are always great, I’ve even gotten a few friends hooked as well!

The best cheesesteaks and chicken cheesesteaks in Virginia beach! Hard to sit in here being a Capitals fan but the Philly Sports stuff on the walls is pretty cool! Guys that work here are really nice and place is always clean!

So i wanted to taste real cheese steaks. I saw the TV programs with the famous two guys across the street from each other in Phiily, one lit up in florescent lights and using the artificial cheese — the other more subdued business using real cheese. You have to go to Philly to get the original, right… so I went, it’s only 5 hours! They aren’t that good in Philly. I come home and find Iggles, short for Eagles(Philly talk) and discover Iggles has better cheese steaks than Philly plus I don’t have to shout my order correctly the first time or risk being sent to the back of the line that I just spent an hour waiting in. Iggles is across from RK Chevy, usually no line, they make them to order, great guys making better steak sandwiches! Check them out…

First let me get the only real negative out of the way. The place doesn’t look very nice. It’s not the cleanest place I’ve ever been to and its covered in so much Philadelphia sports memorabilia that it’s just an overload with no real flow or aesthetically pleasing parts to it. That being said get past that and try the food and you will not regret it. The burgers are always cooked extremely well and all of the food is extremely flavorful. My personal favorite is the grilled cheese burger or the Philly steak egg rolls.

My friend recommended Iggles, but I don’t see what the big deal is. I went on Saturday after noon and there was a fair amount of people in there — just one available table. We got a whole pizza cheesesteak, a plain cheesesteak, and a grilled cheese. The meat was dry and not very plentiful. Both sandwiches should have had more cheese, and the pizza cheesesteak should have had more sauce; I can say that the bread was pretty good. My preschooler seemed happy with his grilled cheese. Overall, the sandwiches were lacking in almost every way. The décor is prety basic — just a bunch of Philadelphia sports junk on the walls, but I didn’t go here expecting it to look classy. One recommendation: there’s plenty of room for more tables. With all these positive reviews, I don’t think these reviewers have ever had a proper cheesesteak. I’m always disappointed when a restaurant doesn’t live up to expectations. Rick’s in Newport News is 100 times better than Iggles, so I’ll be going back there instead of Iggles.

Best Cheesesteak place in Virginia Beach hands down! I always visit the Tidewater Drive location but glad they opened one down here on the beach.

Once you get tired of coming back for an awesome cheesesteak, branch out to some of the other great fare. I like the dogs, split and grilled, with choice of toppings. Or hit up the Piggle. It’s a ¼# burger with the hot dog on top. It’s a mess to be sure, but it’s great comfort food. But when you think you’ve figured out the rest of the menu, get my faves. It’s my standard go-to order. Get the cheesesteak fries and an order of egg rolls. First, an order steak fries, topped with a half cheesesteak. Fries never had it so good. Then, it ain’t no Chinese place. Those egg rolls are stuffed with the real deal — cheesesteak. No wimpie vegi roll here. If there’s a better steak in town, I haven’t seen it.

Cheesesteaks are just as good in Philly! Prices are affordable and service is friendly and fast. The search for a legit cheesesteak has ended :)

This is the BEST cheesesteak I’ve ever had in my entire life and I’ve been to philly before. The sandwiches are HUGE and packed with so much flavor. Luckily I only got a half sandwich I don’t think I would be able to finish an entire sandwich. I couldn’t finish the half I had to pick at it with a fork it was just overloaded with so much yumminess. The bleu cheese bacon spread was so good. I added mushrooms, grilled onions & mayo. A perfect harmony of flavors… Gotta go walk this food baby off now. Bravo Zulu Iggles.

Came here today to satisfy a burger craving, only to be let down. I ordered the Hangover Burger. At first glance it looked delicious; a cheeseburger topped with an egg and bacon. Unfortunately, I was disappointed at first bite. The burger patty itself was awful. Definitely a frozen patty, almost tasted fake. I’m not a very picky eater, and I could only allow myself to eat a few bites. The bf ordered a cheesesteak hoagie, which I will call acceptable at best. The meat was a little too salty and not anything to get excited about. To say the least, I’m still in search of a place that can serve up that classic burger/cheesesteak I’m looking for.

Sister shop to Philly’s down in Naughty by Norfolk on Tidewater. I discovered this place while I worked in the Lynnhaven area. So, don’t get me wrong, but I think that this is just a solid sub restaurant. It was good, nothing spectacular and nothing that I was writing home about either. It’s not huge(but not small either) in here and it gets packed fast so be prepared to get your food and go. I find it odd that only this location has French fries. I’ve never had an issue with my order being incorrect or with the quality of food(I mean it’s a sandwich shop) I get the cheeseburger sub or the chicken philly and fries and an ice cold pepsi. They are all a-ok in my book. I still like Philly’s better though.

I have been wanting to hit Iggles up for a cheesesteak for a while. It’s taken me a while because I have been very satisfied with a few other cheesesteak joints that have really delivered the goods for me. Iggles has great frontage off East VB Blvd in Virginia Beach. This most certainly is a nice benefit for the business. Parking today was not a problem just after noon. I found both the lot and front sidewalk in front of the restaurant clean. I had not read one review of Iggles, or looked at one pic. So, I had no misconceptions of what it would looked like inside, or how the food tasted. So when entering I was somewhat underwhelmed by how gaudy it was with all of the Philly memorabila. It just seemed tacky to me up against stark white walls. The best thing that I would categorize as atmosphere was a TV running Eagles highlights, I liked this. So does it matter if the dining room has little ambiance, or atmosphere if the food is good? Well to me it does, because it was so blah that I did not feel comfortable. White walls, white tables, tan tile in a squared off room with bright light pouring in from the windows. The dining area size is adequate for possibly 35 – 40 customers with all tables and chairs. The eating area was clean as around 8 – 10 customers were enjoying a lunch meal. The business is done by walk up counter. I was greeted by a couple of guys that were very nice and helpful in putting in my order for a basic small cheesesteak with grilled onions. I also ordered a side of fries to try out. Bagged chips, bottled drinks and even ice cream bars for desert are self serve on the floor. There is no fountain beverages. I was surprised by how massive the kitchen was. It appears to be a lot of space not utilized. The man at the counter asked if my order was«for here», or «to go». I was eating in. So when my name was called I was disappointed to find that everything got presented in a bag. So why even ask if «for here», or «to go». Nothing wrong with this as other businesses such as Five Guys do the same. That doesn’t mean I like it. The sandwich was served hot, but no strong aroma of cheesesteak that I’m use to. The fries were more than plentiful and cut large just the way I like them. Condiments are on a table in the dining room. So now the moment of truth, I took a bite of my steak and was blown away by the bread. It was definitely authentic and fresh. Per the guys at the counter they ship the bread from Philly. However, the meat and onions were meh and void of strong flavor. The bread was the hero’s for me. It was good, but not a great sandwich. The fries were tasty, but needed additional seasoning which was fine. Before departing I hit the restroom. There was a sign on the door about the locking mechanism which is broken. A little bit of debris was on the floor, no big deal. However a plate that covers up a drain clean out was off and on the floor which needs to be taken care of. In a nut shell I would personally say the food was just above average. The atmosphere of the business is tacky for my taste. For me there are better options for chesesteaks and one of those options is two minutes from Igies. Possibly I would enjoy something else from the menu much more. Everyone has there own opinion on what makes an awesome cheesesteak. So if Iggles fits the bill for you then great!
